You know probably more than anyone how hesitant I am as a villager to accuse anyone of being a wolf D1. I am never confident in my reads this early on. I nudged you to get a better read of your slot, and I got several things to think about. And yes, you're right. If I do think you are a wolf later on I will have to make a much stronger case against you. Both because this isn't a case, and because you're a much better wolf than to let yourself be caught by one little nudge like this.

It's like you are setting up your entire game to go to war with me at some point

 

And the last line is literally a concussion you spelled out with words. "Because you're a much better wolf than to let yourself be caught one little nudge like this"

 

So you are implying that you "caught me" on your nudge

 

But then you say "But you aren't a bad wolf so you probably didn't!"

 

Like what are you even trying to say? Did I do something wolfy or not? What did I do that I wouldn't do as a villager?

FWIW this is the game where I miscleared Sooh early and she spent the vast majority of her effort levelling me into villager reading her. It was a turbo, so only about 200 posts long:

The reason I have this stuck in my head is that she played up her paranoia of me insistently in order to get me off her tail and it worked because I didn't know she would go out of her way to try to specifically level me (and not the other players who were suspect her and eventually, when I decided I was too biased to dictate anything, lynched her) because it seems stupid and -EV. But she did it, and I was fooled, so that much of it worked.

 

And I can't get this out of my head for one stupid reason: I still think she is a villager and there's this dumb impulse that makes me go "lynch her for doing exactly what she did the last time she was a wolf and I was a villager!" but considering how much she walked into the situation willingly how does she ever not flip villager? It makes my stomach churn and now I'm too rattled to even try to make a non-biased read on that slot, but I still think she is a villager and I legitimately hate myself for thinking that because if she is a wolf and successfully pulled off the same stupid trick twice the level of embarrassment is going to probably send me into a week-long shame spiral.

 

It's just so stupid.

These are the slots that are the biggest problem for me in sense of "how do I resolve", so feel free to pay attention to them two   

 

I remembered Tab made two posts that were biggish irt to me and you/Lenlo but I don't remember feeling great about them

Pral's ability to be anything at all is such a Pral thing

 

I liked a lot of dice's early posting and I find both of them to be intelligent thread readers who make sense to me when they are villagers so I'm clawing for more content from them. I think we've done a solid job in general cutting out the dead weight posting and have a lot of good stuff to sort through in only ~30 pages as opposed like ~100.

From what I conjecture already, OCicat is one who lurks and keeps notes and irregularly comments. When he does comment, it's often tangential or queer.

 

Because he is a heteroclitic player, according to you, should I conclude he is not be compelled to respond to pressure? And even though he pushed JS over something really minute, does he not find other topics worthy of being noted? Or, if his vote was made to garner a response, why not follow up on said response and continue to engage the thread?

 

I checked his account. I know he is around.

 

If he is not responding to pressure how is one supposed to read him based on an inexistent reaction?

 

 

For the record I HATE when people do this. It means nothing!  People use it saying "he posted here.."  So?? people post in threads other then mafia some even have responsibilitys to do so. 

 

Other people like me leave the DM window open and go to bed so it will show im online but im not active.

 

Also sometimes a player doesnt post because they have nothing to say! Thats not lurking imo they could be totally upto date  its just not interacting. if they only pop in at OPPORTUNE times for them then THATS lurking.

 

And someone tell me what the Red possibly tells you about alignment? Cause either Town or Scum or 3rd party could do this.

One thing that's been rattling in my brain the last few days is the effect of the four-day lead up going into the game. IE the mafia group have had ample preparation time and may be more co-ordinated than your average group being thrown into the fire. Whether or not they would use that preparation time to actually develop either a strategy or direct efforts into getting past the radar of specific players is a question as well, because they might have just said "hi" and slithered away and not really cared.

 

But considering this game seems relatively scum-sided in the first place, it's just something to think about. I've been thinking a lot about Sili's entrance in particular, as per what I know about what he believes his villager tells are and what he thinks a player like me would look for.

 

This isn't anything even realistically helpful but as per usual standard if you are a villager I'd love you see you being super villagery so I have less to figure out. tyty

 

 

I know this has been addressed. my original thinking was that a mod shouldnt give a mafia team that sort of advantage. Your later post about your QT being given to you straight up makes me worried im wrong. Im clinging to my original thought cause thats a BIG advantage for scum whereas you are just one slot so it could be looked at as he just gave you blog space to put thoughts down.

 

However i will note that QT or no QT we have all had ample time to plan but mafia has a REASON to do so. Especially if they knew from the start who was in their team

It matters. You don't want to use it as a premise for a case, but it matters. If you say it doesn't, then you're lying.
