Trying to split my focus between rereading from the start of the game, my 2.5 year old tearing into everything, and refreshing my other tab occasionally to see who has posted recently. Needless to say, it's taking me a while.

Cruising now. Took me a while to actually sit down and get started because he kept wanting this and that, but once breakfast was made and I got him busy building with some blocks and other stuff I've been able to get through some good reading. Nearing page 20 now, grabbing quotes along the way. Glad I decided to start from the beginning instead of where I had left off last because I don't remember much, but still a long way to go.

ISO'd Kivam this morning and I'm completely null on him. He's basically explaining his thought processes in ways that can confuse people but don't push a clearly scummy agenda. His vote on Zander came because Zander backed off of him without explanation after Kiv's unvote. (Whereas Kiv offered an explanation for initially backing off Zander.)

 

Mish flings mud and isn't interested in answering my questions. Known for being drammatic. Doesn't like that I gave an unexplained gut vote on Zander really early in the game--says it's bogus? Isn't that who her slot's voting right now? I'm happy with my vote here but need to look at why other people have voted again.

Mentioned this before, but looking at it again I have the same impression. The vote is similar to how Shad started out in Belichick - not a huge indicator really - but again, not bad for the opening of the game.

Get the sense it's null, but I am curious if Kivam's play style has changed since last time he was all about big lists and massive wots.

 

Are the two exclusive? I think the nature of the vote considering the OOT reason for it makes it wolfy. In this instance you could probably exchange wolfy for 'anti-town' if you wanted.

Bottom: You're coming off as defensive as if I'm specifically coming after your slot. You're no different than the other 7 hydra slots, so prove yourself town and you have nothing to worry about. Additionally, even if I wasn't in other games, I have trouble focusing on so many players at once, so I'm trying to narrow my field so that I can still have some sort of success and add to the town.

I am extremely motivated this game, mostly because I want to impress my sister wives in hydra QT 

 

I'm going to break out the #notepad and #chartz and for all the people that will complain this game is "too long to read" I will just have to read it for them

Seph/Zander lecturing Kivs is scummy.  Sili asking Lenlo for content is lol.  New people have interesting hair colors.  Shad and Cory are killing it.  Laine leaving her vote on the best hydra ever is scummy.

This is the OP I talked about earlier for why I was suspect of Wombat. It has that sort of quality (or lack thereof) that I associate more with his scum game. Firstly - why is Zeph telling Kivam to leave his garbage out of this game scummy? How are Shad/Cory killing it? Does Laine's vote staying on Nolderp (iirc) after voting every single hydra really make a difference? Idk - just sort of a junk post.

 

Not sure what's up with Kiv, but I need more from Mish before I call her defensiveness scummy.  That's not out of character for her.

Check the signup thread.  Said I'd be doing that before the role PMs went out.  So while you're right that it could be alignment indicative, generally speaking, objectively it isn't in this case.

 

Does the fact you mentioned it in the signup thread really make a difference? I think I'd be going off the deep end if I said you made the post with the foresight that you could use it as a defense, but still. You're smart enough to know it doesn't have anything to do with this game, so I almost feel the fact you're pointing to your signup thread BS is a bad sign. It doesn't negate the action you took.

 

That's fair enough.  I pretty much see the reaction as null, given the circumstances of how it happened.  I'm also not accustomed to playing with hydras, so I've been trying to factor in what both people are doing, which is why I was wondering why both parts were brought up.

 

Little bit of a disconnect here. Why question Hallia for bringing up points against both heads of the hydra if you are trying to do the same?

Mish overreacts a lot in games. It's kinda null for her. It's more Kivam's content that's giving me pause right now.

 

Sort of the posts I expect from Nyn when she's a villager. Snatching up the little details and weighing them in a manner that actually factual versus tilted for her convenience.

Have you looked at Wombat’s posts today? After last night and today, I am feeling much better about him.

 

From what I read from Talya's posts, it doesn't seem she is overly aggressive but at the same time questioning around trying to find inconsistencies. For example, posts like this and thiswhich is straightforward and inquisitive. I have seen her play similarly as town before.

 

I have no idea what that was about Clov, lol. I think I mixed it up while formatting.

 

AJ's point was that he mentioned he is going to be busy. ANyway, he has given out detailed reads today. Yet to read them

 

Still something off WOmbat. Has been better today but there are a good number of unnecessary posts as if he wants to be seen as active.

The only of these reads I can't see you having at this point is Talya being one of your strongest townies and John Snow being your strongest mafia.  I didn't play British Monarchy with him, so can you explain what he was like there (and how it's different from what he's doing this game?)  Also not sure what you're seeing about Talya.  I'll take another look at her posts later but it seemed like she was kind of sitting in the middle on some issues and asking questions, but not really following up or introducing anything to the table.

John Snow and me had a lot of things going on in the BM game. He was a vanilla who made a gambit of claiming vig in D1 and I counter-claimed and so on. The thing is, he was actively looking for reactions, making posts just in order to gauge reactions and trying to bait others. I am not saying that he should gambit here too but that whole tone is missing here. His posts in this just seem like "Ok, I am here. These are my reads. He is who I think is scum", done. Not the aggressive JS that I saw in BM

Was planning on doing a big WOT catch-up style post, but after reading ~30 something pages and seeing that I had less than 20 posts I wanted to actually comment on, I'll forego that and just take a big consciousness dump ITT. Most topics have been touched on and repeated enough that I don't feel the need to add anything - so I'll try to bring some fresh points to the thread.

 

Shad's joke vote on Seph early on reminds me of how he started in the Belichick game, which is cool considering our synergy in that one. I had some more of his stuff quoted in the queue before I wiped them all that I liked as well. His comments towards Hallia/wish-tree are pretty villagery and carry that sort of uncanny poise he has for a newer player. Good vibes from him thus far.

 

Wish-Tree strikes me as a Hallia.2 in the first few pages of the game. Don't know what that means yet but it's the impression I got, so there you have it.

 

Hallia and Nyn are passing the eyeball test so far. Halli's coming out strong against Kiv and I think her reaction to his whining is good in the sense that she's an emotive player and I would expect her to react that way to that sort of thing. Nyn's sharpness came out once she got past her intro catch-up. She's picking up on the details I think she would as town regarding Kiv's Pral vote, and the responses to Celeste/wish-tree are the amusingly blunt type we all know and love.

 

Wombat's OP at a glance makes me think the randomizing wasn't so good to him, more gut than anything. Wanna see him get more involved once things picked up more beyond the catch up style posts.

 

Zander/Seph/Laine seem to doing that townie circle jerk thing they like to do - we'll see how that progresses. Zander is easy going but I'll be looking for when he starts to make cases after our last game together where he got by a lot on being 'Zander'. Don't really have an opinion regarding Laine picking up Mynd's torch, the stance itself is null but we'll see where she goes with it. Not much about Seph stuck out to me beyond him reiterating a lot that he really likes wish-tree/Celeste.

 

Kivish slot giving me some troubles atm. I basically hate Kivam's approach this game, first with me and then later with Pral and the subsequent backtracking, but Mish feels pretty genuine with how she's reacting to things ITT. Wouldn't really have thought Mish would be the redeeming quality for them (no offense) but if they weren't paired I would support a Kiv wagon at this point.

 

I wonder if any part of this has changed. I found this post that Yates mentions being AJ's only post of substantial content.

I tend to self-WIFOM. As a friend of mine puts it, "It's not too hard to say something and have you spinning at a tangent and doubting everything again".

 

Celeste is sure of herself and usually follows her gut, as it's served her well many times.

 

From what I've read and analyzed so far, it makes sense to me that Zander is town. I don't really have a gut read on him. Celeste isn't sure why she thinks he's scum, it's a strong feeling. Intuition, the way he writes his posts, little things like that make her think scum. Idk...I don't quite understand it. It's a gut feel...and those are unreliable to me, but it is coming from Celeste. And she's right. A lot.
