Ah I see what you're saying. I didn't mean to get a read on him. I was thinking more to make himself look good. That doesn't really make sense as I worded it. Point being Kivam could have said that as either alignment for reasons other than thinking it would make us all suss Pral before Pral even shows up.

I'm not sure I know if it should have been intended to make anyone suspect Pral, and I don't think that Pral is the issue here. From what I can tell Kivam prodded Pral on a false meta, a meta that he himself doesn't believe in, and then tried to defend(?) his stance with meta. Which is what I was getting at in MY post up above.

Basically (from Kiv POV): I remember Person A lurks as mafia, Vote. Get called out on said false meta. Argue that it was to prod the slot for information. Say I don't believe in meta but good players are consistent.

I'm not sure how the original prodding and saying he lurks as mafia connects with the last point that good players are consistent across metas. If you're going to use meta as a basis for original prodding, why try to discount it?

Ok. That read a lot more clear to me and it might be because my brain is starting to filter out anything longer than two or three lines.

So it all really boils down to Kivam made a meta statement voting Pral. Kivam doesn't believe in meta. Says the statement was to prod the slot.

So the meta statement was dishonest whether Pral actually lurks as scum or not, and Kivam's train of thought ends on a lie.

Alternatively he could have said something like "look, I just wanted it to be clear to him that I'm not going to give him an easy pass" and we'd just be at a question of whether the misrep had ill intent, which is round about where I was thinking and comes out null.

I don't know if that's scummy or just obnoxious. It's definitely defensive and kind of backfires.

Meh I'll reread him when I get a chance.

BFG! I'm so glad it's the weekend too, and it's been an awfully long week, but I have another awfully long week/month ahead of me. I'm really looking forward to some new schedules that my work is putting out starting the beginning(?) of September, so that just might be my saving grace with school starting on Thursday ^.^

I'm not liking Hallia's reaction towards Kivam/Mish. She brought up two reasons for voting them - Kivam's policy lynch vote for Andrej and Mish's defensiveness regarding her response to Laine's proposal to lynch all hydras. Hallia addressed the part about the policy lynch - because she feels it's an easy way to hop on and stay on Andrej's train. I'm neutral on that response - it is, but it really only works for day 1. But what about the part regarding Mish? She changed their vote, and while it did come across as defensive, you can't say that Kivam/Mish's vote has stayed parked on one person as Hallia is claiming it would be easy to do.

Between the Kiv sass and Mish's defensiveness, that is the way to go for now until I see anything better.

Based on the past couple of pages of posting re Kivam...

Regarding the blue 'assuming that Kiv is town' I'm not sure I follow? Pral has gotten mislynched for inactivity, so I don't follow that trying to pit Pral under suspicion early means that Kiv must be town, IF that was Kivam's intention. But you're right the issue isn't with Pral, but with Kivam and what he said and what he intended.

Regarding the red 'false meta' I'd also disagree. Pral is quiet regardless of alignment, so saying he's quiet as mafia isn't false it just ignores that Pral is quiet as town as well. Typing it out like this, it might not be as null as I thought.

#1566 I don't really remember Kivam trying to justify his stance with meta from what I recall he backed away from the meta statement? From what I recall the original post had something like 'Pral lurks as mafia, vote Pral, give us some content'. Kivam is trying to argue that the lurks as mafia didn't mean anything and he just wanted Pral to post something???

From what I recall, Kivam's been pretty consistent about saying he just wanted Pral to post something, the issue is why include the meta statement if it meant nothing? I think Kivam is quite a 'deliberate' player, I don't think he ever posts without thinking, if so, it wasn't a throw away line.

I need to ISO Kivam here to see exactly what was said and when (and why) as opposed to relying on memory, but that won't be until this evening now.

Talya because she's been a little bit uninvolved and something she said struck me as being potentially deliberately obtuse. Hally because although her tone is good, she's become better at that as scum recently and I don't like her angle on Kiv's AJ vote.

#1079 Sili - seems far from obvious what Zander's talking about, he posted a bunch of early ATE quotes but doesn't seem to have acknowledged (even to say whether he believes Kiv or not) that it was part of a prior argument with Shad.

#1082 Lenlo's inclusion of AJ as someone whose interacted with a good number of people seems odd, he's not been that involved yet and I can only really remember Mish, Cory, Clov mentioning him in more than passing.

(massively thankful Clov's here at the moment <3)

#1086 [wish tree quoting Wombat on Snow's meta] Snow was pretty active in the Pokemon game (mafia), he was ~quieter in AG (town), but was still active early Day 1 (and the N1 kill). Admittedly that's just 2 games and I don't recall playing another game with him.

#1089 lol, now I feel bad. Wednesday night was dinner, cocktails, games and comedy shows. I was late home. Real life making it difficult to interact isn't a bad thing in this case :D

It is my understanding that kivs argument is irrelevent to what zander quoted and why kiv pushed him. And whether Kiv was reacting bad because of an old argument or not probably isnt significant anyway.

Zqnder quoted a small post of kivs. He used three adjectives to describe kiv and each loosely applied.
