Zander, if Talya is scum what are your thoughts on who her team mates might be?

 

Unrelated but I'm kind of frustrated right now because Hallia and Pral feel like real wastes of N1 vig shots and I doubt they died to scum.  -_-  Shooting Rand would have been more likely to kill scum given what we knew at the time and the flip would have given us decent leads either way.

Yates killed Hallia scum killed Yates Pral a mystery imo.  His death doesn't make a ton of sense to me from any angle. 

Shad you have more insight than me most of the time haha I don't remember anyone being suspicious of him, so unsure about a hero shot in that respect, but I'd have to go back to make sure. Simplest solution is that mafia killed him too, but I don't know why. It's wifom to look at who he was targeting because mafia would kill anyone; If I were mafia I'd kill Zander or Andrej, not Pral just because they have more sway with the town.

I am however quite ... i dunno... cautious and suspicious here.... Looking at the remaining players, and how strong they are.... killing off AJ, Laine or Verb (even if he didn't participate much yet) would have made more sense imo as wolfkill. 

Maybe the intention was to throw us off, or they thought he'd be a difficult lynch? Another possibility is that the obvious targets are not a threat right now. I'm very sure about Andrej being town, still really good on Zander though his Talya tunnel is extreme, and I know I'm town. I need a little bit more from Verbal to be sure there as well.

I agree with this it didn't make any sense for town to kill him. More than likely they went for Yates he was pretty well up there for most. If they went for him why not go for someone else big as well. If they did go for Pral and Yates that would mean only two kills left for them...that would be A little better for us.

I'd bet 2 wolves in the oranges based on wagonomics.  Wolves tend to bury votes on each other D1, or at least bury their vote on a meaningless or impossible lynch.  If I had to choose who to lynch D2 based ONLY on this quote, I'd lynch Rand.  He had a meaningless vote on D1, and in what I've read of him in my catchup, I see multiple FoSes and "intent to vote"-type posts, but I see his vote remained on me.....which was useless.  Add to that his lynch did not go through.  Wolves tend to easily nudge D1 mislynches through, but to have this stall (I don't know yet if there were other reasons for this, btw) makes me think the village might have had a wolf in their sights.

i'd suggest that the 2 'hero shots', if there were two, or 3... no idea, would not reveal that they have shot. That way, the wolves do not know who still has a Vig shot left (if so). Having said that, i AM curious as too who has shot, but that can wait.

I'm feeling good about AJ and Talya right now.  Thinking that Rand train was pure.  If Rand's town it would have only taken 1 of 3 scum voting him to put him at L-1, and Zander was the only one with a town lean on him iirc, so it's not like scum would have had to contradict themselves to vote him.

@ SHad-  i can understand your thought process.  but just because others dont see things the way i do doesnt make me wrong.  im a gut/instincts player and they've served me well.  ive noted the things  that have pinged me and im going with it.  everyone had yates and sili town in SW too and claimed i was rambling on and how did that work out?  only other person atp id even consider is BFG,  look at 9-5 like my 2nd game and had the whole wolf team pegged including Yates and Cory which like NO ONE else had.  How about people try to give me some credit and trust me till im proved wrong!!!

When you want to mention how you were right in a couple of games and others were wrong, and you get the urge to post it and brag about it and complain about not being listened to...........don't.  It hurts your cred more than it helps.

 

I want you to be a villager here, but I'm pretty damn close to putting you into the PoE.  Just sayin'.  So take a breath, rip that damn caps lock button off your keyboard, try not to spasm as you type "lol", and explain your thought process.  You keep saying Talya is a wolf.  Ok.  But like Shad, I don't see it (yet).  I'm going to ISO her right now and get back to you about her.  Initial read is that she's a villager.  If you recall my handling of her in ME (I think it was that game), I thought she was wolfy and talked myself out of it when interacting with her.  I haven't had the chance to do that yet, but it clearly showed me she was a villager then.  This game, you're just badgering her - you need to learn how to treat your suspects and get them to reveal themselves to you.

I do get frustrated when I can't get my point across and maybe your right and I shouldn't use caps but I'm gonna play the way I play and I'm sorry if that bothers anybody but that's just the way I do things. 

 

I do respect people who have more experience then I do and can see how my play or comments can be taken out of context but those who do know me from playing and away from Mafia know Im pretty humble and have no problems pointing out my flaws but I will also point out when I'm right.  I hate not having the cred for people to follow me when I pick something up.  I KNOW I'm not always gonna be right and I will probably have some epic fails but lately I've been reading people pretty solidly.  I have pointed out what pinged me about Talya.  I don't believe I'm wrong though everyone seems to think I am.  I bring up other games where I was right to try and show people that Im not just drawing names out of a hat or something,

 

I have the utmost respect for all the players here and I take that into consideration like when I backed off of Csarmi and seph in SW.  But I feel I'm right here like I was right there and imma keep trying to get this through. 

 

My goal here is to try and track down and lunch wolves.  I'm more of a gut read and instincts player and maybe that makes me sucky at this game.  But I don't back off of something when I think I'm right and I TRULY believe that I am right here.

You're misunderstanding me.  The caps and lololol doesn't bother me......but it does not help you get your points across.  It muddies the waters and adds spam to your posts and sometimes people will miss the key point.  Using them with more precision will have the effect you're looking for - it'll add the 'POP' to the post and bring people's attention to what you want them to see.

 

You are bragging, though.  The whole "I was batting 1.000, that's pretty good right, maths are hard though" (paraphrased) is obviously bragging.  It's cool, dude.  You were on fire in the last couple of games, so you earned that 100%.  Hell, I was dead scum and even I was kinda rooting for you when I was reading along (a little).

 

But I just don't see what you're saying is so obviously wolfy with Talya.  I just ISO'd her.  She's leaving page references for herself, following up on previous cases and thoughts, doing re-reads of sections of the game, and digging for posts to support her thoughts.  That is town!Talya at it's core.  Scum!Talya will be going with the flow, and trying to make it look like she's digging and referencing......but you can see her progression (like on Thane) in her posts and how she questions her own reads and is willing to re-assess.  IMO, this is not the work of a wolf, mainly because she's putting in #work that is usually reserved for villagers and select wolves that have a level of dedication that I certainly don't have (people like Yates, Cory, Tom - those guys are deadly wolves because the things that tell me Talya is a villager don't work on them).

 

For example, when I'm playing my best as a wolf, my game is predicated on looking multiple phases into the future and planning for them like a game of chess.  I'm behind the scenes, and a careful look will show that I'm not being the voice of reason (my #1 scumtell imo).  Talya isn't even doing that here - so I can't follow you until I either see what you see, or you show me what you see.

 

 

In short, the emphasis here needs to not be on Talya to scumtell more, but on you to show us how she's scumtelling to YOU.  I hope that made sense, dude.

Haven't read enough to have strong reads on anyone yet, but just because someone has sway with town, doesn't mean they are town.  Although obvious, might be a good thing to keep in mind on why they weren't killed.  I'll read up through the thread later though, and see how I feel about them.

Maybe I'l try it this way. In the other games like SW and ME everyone at some point starting reading Talya as Maf or into a PoE this game no one but me is.  Those other games she a little more all over the place this game very concise like she KNOWS who is who,  Like she has to putting EVEN more effort and thought into what she says and does to leave little to no space for error.   Town!Talya is a little more... carefree maybe the word im looking for.   I hope my explanation makes sense.  My gut is telling me somethings up here and so Im following it.

This isn't a sports metaphor it's a gambling question.  Zander wanted to know how many kills there would be N1.  He set the bar at 5 and wanted to know if it would be OVER five or UNDER five.  I suggested that if we learned anything from the last game, it should be UNDER five.  In other words, I'm suggesting people don't go nuts with their N1 shots.  AJ didn't copy me so much as agree.
