Regardless of what happens with this 'dome, you guys need to HEAVILY pressure the players that are skating by and not participating.  In a small game it isn't that big of a deal - but in this game, those players will be dead weight later on and can destroy town's chances.  There are definitely scum in there as well, so that's why I think it is a good move.

You wouldn't have been a bad choice after pushing this crap wagon.

Agreed. I pushed Verb so hard and so deep... Town couldn't help but get swept up in the shear animal magnetism of my push full of awesome and epic points...

You're right that I can't blame you completely, but your vote did serve as the catalyst.

I'm going to assume you did it for reactions, like I said earlier.

What did you learn?

But you can't deny that you're still upset at being lynched and you're now taking it out on the rest of us.

Yes I can. If I were actually going to play like that, I would have never unvoted you or told you the point of my thought experiment. I agree that it's better not to have players replace back in BUT you have to admit this puts me in a unique position to reaction fish and see how I'm treated now vs after my claim - as one example.

Overall, though, this is a statement about how this player base needs to be better about reading and stop punishing people for playing the game. Or crap outcomes will continue.

You'll get no disagreement from me on this.

What did you learn?

That we have a Gladiator match? And that the outcome will continue to inform my understanding of those reactions?

While we are waiting on everyone to stop in, what should I get for a drink? No gin. I'll die.

How did Verb know Tina was going to vote him without reading the thread?

it's called meta?

1: I think Yates is as full of crap as a Christmas turkey

2: there is no way someone got a guilty on me, so IF he's tellin the truth

[unvote]

[v] Thane [/v]

Whether Yates is or is not lying, I am ok with this vote. Thane has literally done nothing and has clearly shown no remorse. I would take him over Verb any day.

Oh so you think he's lieing yet you choose to follow on his either or scenario, tell me more about how you're mafia. If you truely thought he was lieing you'd stick to your original guns and not fall for these shenanigans.

????

Well that was out of left field.

no it wasn't, I don't think you were paying attention. maybe someone was expecting an easy lynch result.

Okay, now Idiot Question: If Verb put this into action, does that make them definitely Town? Or can one do this and still be a Wolf?

it makes an unknown variable, I have only ever seen this role as a town ability but it has the potential to be a mafia role.

Verbal, you could have saved that ability for later in the game....

based on how the votes appeared it could have been detrimental to wait.

Mod: Does that mean that we can´t change our minds once we vote?

This makes it hard for me. Pizza is another suspect. And as Yates said, Verb doesn´t necessarily have to be town. Not sure if I have seen gladiator as mafia. Has anyone?

Verb - I will gather all my posts about you and then I want comments and explanations.

I think Tina is mafia

Okay, now Idiot Question: If Verb put this into action, does that make them definitely Town? Or can one do this and still be a Wolf?

He could ABSOLUTELY be wolf.

In fact, I'm probably going to vote him for this reason alone. The Town ability is called Governor. This could be any alignment.

incorrect. However the ability alone doesn't clear him as town.

FYI even though we can only lynch between Verb/Pizza today doesn't mean we still shouldn't be looking for other suspects.

Let's use our time wisely.

Gross.

You should have gladiated AJ, Verb.

You're gross.

You wouldn't have been a bad choice after pushing this crap wagon.

Yates didn't push it, Pizza and Eldrick spearheaded it. For lie detector's sake. Can you ive a simple to the point answer to the following question?

AJ Are you mafia?

I'm trying to see how this Gladiator role is so useful to town, Verb was worried about being lynched, both village and wolfie would be, but he chose someone who had sort of claimed/but may not have: Pizza. Verb was on a level with Thane to go to the noose, so he chooses Pizza, who he says was the most scummiest on his vote. Why not choose who you thought was scummiest full stop. If verb is Wolfie, then he may have done this to force Pizza to reveal as a Pr, it will allow the wolfies to know who Pizza is and do something about it, they may lose Verb eventually, but they know a PR and maybe a cop one. So it was a good way of Verb to out a cop or some such role. I don't know if Pizza has a role or not, I know he hasn't viewed me, because his peek is wrong, but that could be a smoke screen. I'm going to have to read up on both to have a better look, but I'm shattered tonight, so it will be tomorrow. I'm not sure how I view Verb (before this) I would go from town to wolfie and back. As for Pizza I didn't have a read on at all.

If you think this is a V vs V argument then I think we obviously lynch Verb in this scenario.

He just used his power and we don't know what Pizza might have.

Do you have anything else?

Did I say it was 1x use?  No?  Ok then.

I can't believe you have this all the time, maybe one or two. I have never seen this role before, not sure I see the benefits at the moment. so not sure the benefits of keeping you, but that will depend on Pizza and if he calims any thing.

I understand wanting to get reactions from people, but if you thought him town why not state so earlier instead of forcing him  into this situation.

Are you accusing me of creating this situation? It sounds like you are accusing me of creating this situation.

I'm not going to address the rest because I think I've been very clear over these last *MAYBE* 5 pages.

I would more likely blame Tina for the situation (a part from Verb actually choosing to do it), she kept on pushing him.

No, I'm not mafia.

You're correct that Yates didn't push it, but his and your votes did make it viable considering the spread we had.

Let's assume that Verb and Yates are both villagers in this instance. Who looks the worst to you in their involvement around the wagon?

I do too, she voted him last minute and egged him on.

You seem to waffle on whether you want to call me town or scum here, heh.

I have more than 1 use of my role, I'll say that.  And it has a benefit - it can stop a bad lynch.........like the one that was happening to me at the time, lol.

I think some of you may be underestimating the realism that is paranoia and how it affects a person's play in a game where their play style is essentially their personality.

Objectively Tina can look bad for pushing Verb here, but knowing her pension for notoriously being suspicious of him AND her earlier body of work - I don't think the interaction should have her tumbling into red zones yet.

Posted

@Verb, no I was saying before this I was too-ing and fr-oing between town and mafia of you, in this, at the moment I see it as you trying to get a claim from a possible PR, so if you go doen anyway you can give team mates some good info at the same time. But I'm not voting on that alone, I want to have a good look at both of you before I decide.

@AJ - haven't said anything about Tina, accept she was the one pushing, doesn't mean anything on it's own.

Celebrimbor, maker of the rings of power.

I have an array of abilities which I can use at night, the first night I used a 2x scanning power on Thane and Krak, which is why I am defending them.

I can also do a 2x protect power, which I can use, or a 2x roleblock power. At the end of using those on three nights, I can return to using the scan, or any power that I did not use the previous night.

I do not have a red scan on Verbal, to be honest. I was saying that I did for reactions.

If I said that I did have a red scan on Verbal, I could get him lynched today, and people would follow me. Sorry, I don't, and if I were to try to be a hero and get Verbal lynched based on such a lie, and he were to be a villager, I'd have to be the lynch the next day.

There were better choices for the gladiator challenge, but I understand using it against someone on your own wagon.
