Where are we at today? Can anyone point out to me exactly why I need to follow the Wombat train? I'm wary of him, but as of right now I have not much more than feels to go by, and I think that's rather thin...

I'm not entirely caught up yet, and I'm probably not going to get round to running ISOs tonight but for me the TL:DR Cass version (Hi Nyn  ) of the 'case' against Wombat is:

 

- Voted Sili early (like, 2 pages in early. Says it was a lark, but then Sili started seeming scummy so he left it there. Possible but also equally  likely that Sili's right and Wom is scum who set up a typical easy mislynch and left his finger on the trigger); 

 

- He's being evasive/defensive about giving reasons for his reads pre-flip (also essentially ?null/scum).

 

Not sure how I feel about that yet, other than I agree that it makes me wary/concerned he might be scum, and that the 'evidence' is rather thin. Need to ISO properly to get anything more than that though tbh.

 

 

Few questions for you now:

All I really wanna know is why did you mention that you could vote Alanna there, instead of just voting her and giving your reasons?

 

Is it because you are Scum and feeling opportunistic?

I only have what I've read and interpreted. I think I've already explained what I have on Leelou and Hallia... which, I have to admit, isn't much, but it's more than I have on many others. As for Wombat he's been going after semantics the whole game so far and twisting people's words.. Might be his way of digging for information, but like you said, it ended badly for Sili. 

 

As for me calling it a Wombat train... isn't it? It's the closest thing that we have at the moment. And, as you might see, I'm not following, just wanting to get more information around it. It's also interesting to me why Alanna is so against it. Is she against it because she genuinely has seen something in him and can't figure out a way of saying it? Or is she against it because she knows Wombat is town, and it'll look good on her to have been against it if he is lynched and flips town... Just something I was thinking about..

I'm not sure I like this. If he really is town and somehow got info saying I'm scum, then he might've been fooled by some other role. And then mafia gets two easy mislynches instead of one.

 

Turbo lynch is never a good idea. If I do end up lynched, don't auto-lynch him just cuz I flip town. Use your brains to find the best lynch.

I realized that kind of came out like i was saying it was Kaylee's fault, or like her game was bad or something - I'm not saying that at all. But it is totally possible that there is some kind of role like bus driver or a deflector or something. This is why I'm not a fan of relying on roles so much, because they can always be manipulated. If I do end up lynch, take your time to actually scumhunt instead of auto-lynching anyone.

You could sort of say that. I can't really explain how I read Wombat. When he's scum, he usually starts to smell funny to me later in the game. So far, I haven't gotten that. Certainly, it is by no means foolproof.

Because why the hell would he be setting himself up to be auto-lynched tomorrow? That's just dumb. I can't think what there is about me that would be worth the scum team sacrificing one of their players to get me lynched. Unless you're saying he's town and he's playing some kind of gambit to see how people, or how I, would react?
