Go look at his "defense." It's so pathetic it's TOO pathetic.

 

When he was scum in Alanna's game, he would at least TRY when he was under pressure. And he always had a scum suspect or two at the ready - some of that driven by the discussion we were having in the scum QT. In this game he is responding more like a beaten dog, and I don't see that coming from scum Eldrick.

This is true. I have no reason to think, though, the scum strategy would be "just let yourself get lynched with complete and total apathy and I'm sure someone will come in and rescue you."

Gotta be honest, I don't really have any good scum reads right now. I wish there was more content from some players, especially Pral. (I know this is kinda normal for him but...argh.) I'm not really familiar with Cass, not bob, or Sooh as players, and no one else is standing out as particularly scummy.

 

I feel like scum is either in the low posters, or else people who are playing very good games. Players like dice, Thane, Verb, Hallie - all seem very much in their town range atm. Sili is probably a yellow read for me right now, but even him - if he's scum, I'd say he's playing a better scum game than I've seen from him before.

 

I'm still not crazy about Eldrick. I kinda get the apathetic townie vibe some people are getting from him, but I really didn't like his vote on Leelou, it was such blatant sheeping. But then, would he be so blatant about it if he were scum? I don't know.

 

It does seem very different from how he behaved in my game as scum, but that could also be explained by less active or inactive scummates. Would also explain why no one stopped him from going off earlier in the day, like Verb said.

 

I don't know. Thoughts? I could be grasping here because I don't really have any other suspects, hard to be objective about that.

 

I'm gonna hit the gym, will check back in an hour or two.

Would you characterize Eldrick's response as pulling "the sympathy card?" Looked more like the apathy card to me.

 

This is still just Day 1. How much effort would it really require for scum to find a different wagon to protect their buddy? Sili could have been an easy lynch. You could have been [still could be?] an easy lynch. Any of the inactives like Cass or Alanna or Lily would be easy enough to push. Heck, the easiest nonsense push right now could probably be made on Sooh. All he had to do was pick a name or two. He didn't. I think he would. It's really that simple.

Yates, you never actually answered my question, why was it that you voted Eldrick for pulling the newb-Town card after sharing your Mafia QT?

i prefer not to lynch potential townies D1... or any day, for that matter. If you can give me a target, i might vote. But i don't see anybody. Lots of people don't have enough content to judge, so impossible to tie to another or clear from interactions.
