You're not the boss of me.

I was hoping you'd be more helpful. Since if you're not going to be pro-town, I have no inclination to believe your claim.

Pralaya could show up and hard claim masons, except he kind of claimed vanilla... so.....

Oh. Did he?

I think you should consider other options.

Yates' flip-flop between mason/neighbor/mason didn't look good either.

Yates, rather than being an uncooperative sassy pants, how about give us some reads?

Let's pretend you read the thread for a second. Why did I "flip-flop" again?

Again, let's pretend you read the thread. Who did I say I'd vote, most recently? Extra bonus star and possibly a sticker if you can tell me who I was responding to in agreement with in that post. Good luck!

Sooh.... you're so serious, never seen that side of you..... i'd nearly say it seems unnatural

Lol I'm concentrating on playing mafia... At least elsewhere on this forum I can post what I want without fearing to be killed...

Nyn is my mentor, and no, we didn't speak of it before I voted you.

I know this makes me a terrible human being but I knew Nyn was your mentor. I just wanted to read your QT post game after saying she is mentoring you like Darthe.

Also you will never read this QT, so "neener neener",

love

my mentor...

(and me  )

Sorry, guys. "Nice Guy Yates" has left the building for the early part of this game - at least. Need to start getting in to character to defend the honor of DM. It's a big responsibility but my ego tells me it's something I will do with fantastic aplomb.

Well that's just lame. What's the point in poking the bear if she's going to hide in a cave? LAAAAAMMMMEEEE!!!!

I agree that Yates claiming this early is a bad idea. I can't see how it benefits town and it certainly doesn't clear him and Pral.

I support the idea of Masons revealing early. Should one of them have died without us knowing who the other one was, the role would have been completely useless. We would know there's a powerless townie out there somewhere. Great! now one can completely clear the other, should they be telling the truth. That's the power masons possess.

I know this has already been talked about, to an extent, but I've been rereading, and this jumped out at me.

No. This is the last time we're going to talk about Masons. The power of a Mason is being able to confirm 2 townies in the game, and thereby protecting town PRs. Scum are forced to NK confirmed townies - if they leave them alone too long, they make it to late-game and usually will win the game for town. So this protects the town PRs - that is the power of a Mason pair.

game would be too easy if everybody had an investigative role though... And, nothing would prevent you from having a diffirent approach this time. So, yeah, i'll be cautious around you, for now

Of course it would. I'm not saying that everyone should have one. It just would be nice to actually have one for a change.

I have been talking to verb about the game I'm making, and apparently what I'm used to is referred to as a "kitchen sink" style game. I like those better, because roles have a more influential feel to them.

There are more than investigative. There are protective and support roles too. Vanilla roles are just boring.

You're basically saying mafia is boring, then. Vanilla roles are the core of mafia - all these fluffy roles that have since been added into the game allow people to rely on them as a crutch - they can just use game mechanics instead of gamePLAY. I prefer the latter. Using the former is fine, but if you rely on it / prefer it, you're just shorting yourself.

You're allowed your opinion. Mine is to prefer the roles.

I was just checking in while trying to sleep to see if Yates replied. I guess not. Sleep now. Bye.

Where did you get that clip of me?!

Your mom. We skype 3x a week.

If she starts sending you naked baby pics of me, we're totally not friends anymore.

I can't wait to lynch you in the final game.

So Sooh, what are your thoughts?

Verb, I can't help but have a townish read on you. What are some reads non related to the Mason debacle? Or at least, not from the two 'claimants'

Unfortunately, too much of the game has centered on that.  I'd say my top suspect right now is Eldrick, but that is due to his posting re: the Masons.  So based on what you're asking, I can only provide my few town leans:  Yates, Sili, Thane, and yourself.  Everybody else is null at this time.

1. How you claimed you wanted to handle the masons.

I still think it's a viable option, in lieu of finding scum. A mason flip would clear the other one, regardless of when they die.

2. The mason you chose to vote.

I also didn't like your early game, which is why I chose you.

3. Dropping your claimed mason approach for reason stated being only that you don't have "enough support" rather than because it is straight up pants on head.

That is why I dropped it. no other reason.

4. Following the person you were just voting's old case onto a new target [Hally].

Coincedence. You were loud, and as you know, I have trouble with following loud.

5. Not reading Hally's response in context.

I responded to what I was thinking about at work, your goon loginc comment. I retracted it after doing some rereading. That's how this works, isn't it?

6. Not weighing the true scumminess of it.

I'm bad at this. Give me a break.

1. Well, you're wrong. And there are many reasons for you being wrong. I think enough people with mafia skill have already addressed many of the reasons you are wrong. And to me, you are wrong enough that I can't understand how it isn't OBVIOUS just how wrong you are. And when someone is THAT wrong, it sounds FAKE.

2. That's great and all but you need to take the entire landscape of the game into account. Did you see Pral ask me to check our QT, for example?

3. And that's my point. You should have dropped it after realizing your logic was pants on head. That would be the better and - really - ONLY reason to drop it.

4. You have trouble with following loud? Meaning you always follow loud or never follow loud?

5. It's how it works if the information doesn't already exist in thread. But it did so... moot.

6. I can't assess the truth value of this statement. Your instincts were pretty on point when we scummed together Your instincts are pretty terribad right now.. That's what I have to go on.
