Ah, thanks. That's super helpful. I couldn't figure out where my numbers were wrong at.

I think that what you posted about Zasha bodes well to Darthe and Eldrick not being scummers together.

The bottom line is I've found them both scummy separately. So they're both staying in my scum leans.

I'm admittedly not that good at noticing connections between players like some others are. I can sit here and debate if they could be scum together all day. But it would be fruitless. I would never let someone off the hook just because of connections, I've been burned before in that regard. I put a lot more emphasis on individual play. I'm not sure if that's the right way, but it is my way and I'm gonna stick with it.

Posted

As far as Zasha's play go all I see is fence sitting on Darthe, not knowing what to make of him with a minor nudge and then ultimately jumping on the Lily train.

Posted

It wouldn't have made much of a difference?  Let me put it simply. A townie who is going to die anyhow has nothing to hide. A scummy does.

If it was me and i was vanilla I probably wouldnt think it was worth doing either. Im just saying i can understand his stated reason.

Dice, talk to me more about you unvoting Darthe.

what more can i say? I said when i voted him it was because he would provide more info. he had a go at me for that and when i thought about it was fair enuff especially as i think he is town so i unvoted.

I wasnt feeling the trains for either darthe or lily so i didnt vote.

I was around at EOD but chose not to vote

I just had a look see at Eldrick's posts. I'm disregarding his first vote on Darthe. He claims to have done it before reading his role PM which means it's not indicative in any shape or form. Later on he starts FoSing Sili and decides he feels better about Darthe. Here's the quote:

Ok, since I was asked why I suspected/voted Darthe, I have been thinking about it. I agree with what he has said recently. The quoting the lily information to back the Nyn case wasn't scummy. It was just stupid. I am less suspicious of you now. Still moreso than others, for the sole reason that others find you suspicious, so there might be something there.

So he's not suspicious of him.... but he's still suspicious compared to others (??) cause other people find him suspicious?  This entire rationale is bogus. Townies get run up all the time. This reads like fence sitting.

Later on agrees some with Darthe's statements and ultimately he votes for Sili. He does add:

I'm leaving my vote where it is for now. Still waiting for Sili to give me a reason not to.

But, Darthe is my other suspect. If he gets more pressure, I don't mind helping that go along either.

Looks like Darthe suddenly got bumped back up to his top suspect list? Right when he saw the train on Sili wasn't really going to build... and just as Darthe was getting heat. And Darthe votes him soon after.

So I'm to believe that Darthe and Eldrick are not likely scummates because all of the above?

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah, I don't think so.

Town
Clov- I don't see Clov putting himself out there on my behalf like he did as scum. I generally don't move him out of null easily, because he can deep wolf like no other. That being said, I just don't see him putting me in as Locktown as scum. I think he would have found a way to turn it against me.
Nyn- I think this is my first actual game with Nyn. Having actual conversations with her in the past about mafia, I'd be really shocked if she was mafia. I just don't see her doing this much work, or getting at this many people and being scum.
LeeLou- She's been low key, but I find I'm generally agreeing with a lot of what she's saying or it at least makes sense to me in some fashion. I'm not much of a tone reader, but I feel like she's being pretty genuine with her statements and I haven't felt like there's some ulterior motive.

Null to Town
Sili- I think Sili goes in town. Through out D1 I felt he was town. I may not understand what he's trying to get at, but I appreciated he took the time to try to explain it better. I don't think that scum would try to do that. He kind of fell lower on my list at the beginning of the day phase. He was really defensive and making odd statements, but now I think I know why. So still town for me.
Darthe- Controversial opinion, I know. I really feel his trolling was to get discussion going. When it happened, I didn't think it was scummy. My initial thought went to just trying to get something going. I thought he's improved a lot and has been making points. I don't really see Lily's flip determining his alignment given they really didn't even go at each other. I mean they voted for one another, but I think it was more preservation than anything.

Null
Yates-  I want Yates to be town. I've liked a lot of his posts, but at the same time they don't feel genuine to me. Kind of a contradiction, I know.
Dice-  I don't have a lot of notes on Dice, and what I do have doesn't really lead me to an alignment.
Thane- This ones kind of a weird one for me, since I felt like he was scum day 1. I don't really know what changed for me, but I just felt like he's been gradually progressing. It makes me feel better about his play, and makes me think that I was wrong to assume he was scum because of low content

Null to Scum
Eldrick- When the stuff with Zasha was going on I got more of a ticked off town vibe than a scum vibe. I don't think she expected to be under pressure and I think her posts reflected that. When Eldrick came in I thought he had a strong initial post, but since then it's just been going down hill for me. I haven't been able to follow a lot of his questions/ posts. And looking back I tend to agree with Clov that the interaction with Sili kind of looks like it was searching for a power role.
Barm - I feel like he's only been coming in and posting briefly when someone mentions him. I haven't looked to see if there's a direct correlation to when people talk about him to when he posts, but that's just how I feel. I don't really feel like he's saying a whole lot when he does posts. I get the feel he's posting because he has to.

I gotta ask though... @ Clov, what exactly has Darthe done up until now that makes you think he might be town. Because I really don't get it.

Been flaunting my townie Darthe

If this is your townie Darthe then you should seriously find a new hobby.

I'm learning how to troll in my spare time.

Oh am I supposed to be phased on how you voted Eldrick for a minute before switching to Barm?

It's called pro bussing, learn tactics.

On a more serious note, perhaps Barm is mafia.

@Clov, Nyn mafia odds?

Very low.  She was my top townie coming into D2.

I gotta ask though... @ Clov, what exactly has Darthe done up until now that makes you think he might be town. Because I really don't get it.

Not a whole hell of a lot honestly.  I'm not confident he IS town, I just don't think it's smart to treat him like outed scum.  I did think he showed some reasonable progression towards the EoD1, once he got past the "trolling" phase; I thought he showed some good concern about Sili (maybe just trying to buddy me?  I dunno) and I didn't hate how he approached Lily.  I try not to get into the "too wolfy to be a wolf" thing, but I do think it's possible he was trying to get discussion going early.

I'm cool with that.  Prob getting some bias from her dogmatic and arrogant view of me.  The problem now is that I doubt we can make it to late game together.  She'll force the situation.

Thane could be scum, yeah.  If you're wrong about the bottom three it probably is him since his posts don't really stink in any way.  I feel like he could swap places with one of Leelou or Sili should they screw up in any major way.

Dice is prob town.  I seriously never mis-read him.  Maybe once or twice in three years?

Yates seems to be sketching out a lot of people.  Does anyone think he wouldn't be a firm townie in many eyes if he was mafia?  I know that's a logical swamp and that it's cruddy reasoning but I have to throw out there that given how stellar he is as mafia this isn't remotely his wolf efforts or meta.

I think Eldrick might be scum from his handling of Sili about the vig thing. I don't see the point in asking about why he would assume Lily was the vig kill. For one, even BEFORE Lady Clov claimed (I'm calling her that from now on, because this is a medieval themed game...and mostly to stroke my own ego), it was a pretty logical assumption. Why would mafia EVER shoot somebody who got ran up the day before?

Second, what good comes from pushing that angle? Say Sili was the vig and shot her. You've now pressured a town power role into claiming. I don't see a scenario where scum shoots somebody - who flips town - and goes "Oh btw guys, that was me!".

Looks more like he was trying to get confirmation on a PR to me.

I wasn't trying to get Sili to claim. I just hadn't realized the logic myself.

I'm not trying to tie anything to you. I've stated why I think you are scum and I stated why I think the Zash/Eldrick slot is scum. I was merely responding to Clov and Linds' claim that it's rather unlikely that you would be scummates. I disagree.

Since I agree with your bottom list I'm going to move on to the middle.

Can you expand on the Yates statement for me? This is probably me being insanely tired, but I don't get what you mean.

You haven't played with him enough to know (I don't think) but Yates is like... The perfect mafian.  Case en pointe he just managed to win a game as an outted SK by convincing them that he would work with them and without submitting NK's before the final night.  While he can occasionally be a luke-warm townie he is never anything other than stellar as scum.

Ah, yeah I heard about that.So by that logic if he's null he's probably town?

Sorry, that's probably just restating what you said.

I know all that.  I want to know what you thought you were going to achieve by unvoting.

What if I told you I investigated Dice and he came up...oh, what's the PC term for this.... Town-aligned challenge?

I'd pat you on the back and vote him.  It'd surprise me though, enough to make me question the results validity or if it wasn't some gambit.
