He HAD admitted to skimming, and I don't see an argument for the whole Nyn/Lily vote thing being "pro-town".  I probably wouldn't have used the word "weasel", but I got the impression he was trying to talk his way out of accusations, rather than actually refuting them.

What would I talk my way out of?  Or refute for that matter?  I deliberately elected to post things that made me look worse and, as an obvious consequence of that, have garnered some flak.  Nobody has been wrong about voting me or calling me out for that.  The potentially +ev option here is that people try to tack on or fabricate additional reasons to paint me in a negative light and the disparity between what I obviously did and what they are stretching for highlights their attitudes.  Additionally if we happen to catch mafia pushing me strongly it'll help clear me and whoever catches them.

The only real argument is if it was intentional or not (verb got townie points for saying not and sticking to that) and that's going to be a matter of meta/belief.

Also, you are making good arguments against Sili.  A clever mafian might take my side early on if they believed (as he does) that I was faking or if they just wanted town cred for being right.  I don't think he has managed to present himself as well as he perhaps wanted to and little contradictions like the one pointed out in 662 make him a moderate candidate for today's lynch imo.

Certainly better than Lily.

A clever mafian wouldn't say as much to defend you as he has imo.

Also, I actually find it scummy you'd call me a better lynch than lily just because people are voting her. Or did I miss something?

I'm making the executive decision to not vote Lily right now.  She doesn't have enough content to get a good feel for her.  Maybe there is enough there to be somewhat incriminating, especially to those of us who have played with her before, but I find it difficult to believe that she has legitimately drawn as much negative attention as she has thus far.

Seems like I didn't miss much.

To paraphrase this post: 'She appears scummy, but let's not lynch her'

I find it telling that those who know me best aren't on my train. They know that I don't really kick in until day three. I'm trying to change that and failing miserably. But y'all gotta do what you gotta do, I guess.

For what it's worth, I think Mrs. Clov seems townie in her attack on me, while Zashara's post seems too forced. I think she may be scum.

Bleh. I really hate the not going to do anything until day 3 approach. It drives me bonkers on the forum I usually play on. It's not helpful at all to the game.

I don't get this zasha thing but apparently nyn's noticed it too.

You are saying things in a scummy way, but not forced or lacking any hint of townie-ness that you do as scum. I like that you are trying to be more active early, might help you lose some of your scummy posting style. Right now, I have you as null to town. I don't really like Zashara's vote on you. Also not getting feel good vibes from Barm yet, but it is still early and I'd like Verbal's take on him.

That's such a bad paraphrase it's entirely misrepresentative of what I said.

It's a rhetorical statement to express a point. Your reason for not wanting to lynch lily is silly.

/shrug.

It's suspicious is all.

I asked you for someone you wanted to vote more than lily, and i'll assume you want to vote me more, the push being conveniently in sync with Clov's pressure. Your posts interacting with me before that were questions with no follow-up. Your case on me right now is I defended you for town cred, and something i've responded to and may/may not be relevant still.

So, having as many posts as you do darthe, and with all this content, is there anyone you got something better on? You earlier accused nyn of not being solid enough in the thread with over 100 posts, but you have around 75 and you got less than half of what nyn has.

Using your logic you're scum.

Man you over-reacted terribly to that.  Sili I'm still doing basic reaction tests and prodding out things.  You seem so certain of what is going on D1 and I don't get that for the life of me.  Clov has made some good points which you haven't done a good job of refuting and now you look like you're shifting your stances to whatever argument is currently being made.  If you're town take a bit to relax.

As for my thoughts on Lily, I don't think she warrants lynching.  No clue what her alignment is but that means that 3/4 of the time she flips town from my perspective and even if she did flip mafia I don't know who it would help clear or who it would incriminate because, again, there just isn't enough meaningful data there.

Mrs. Clov, I suspect taht you might know clov better than most of us.  Do his pushes on Sili look genuine to you?

No, while you can hate it  if you want to, I'm reacting to what I'm seeing. And while it is true I liked you participating, when prodding never goes anywhere it's not good at all.

And you say I'm certain, but I'm not confident enough to keep my reads static clearly. For instance, people say you're scum, and maybe you are. People say Verbal is town, and maybe he is.

The last time Verbal posted was friday is the last time i got scum vibes from him. Right now, all I know is I don't like your ceaseless nudges. It feels way too much like you're sitting on a fence sometimes.

And lilly, you imply she's been scummy in the post ya, and then in the same post you do a 180 because she's gotten pressure for being scummy. I don't get what town does that, and it surprises me I didn't realize the full breadth of how much that reeks until I started to seriously reconsider my read.

Plus, you really can fake your tone. I've been tricked 2-3 times now by you.

You'd have to ask Darthe. I think we know each other moderately well.

They do look genuine to me. I think that Clov's really trying to figure out Sili's logic. Clov's really big on being able to follow other people's logic. It doesn't really matter if he disagrees or agrees, but I think he likes to see how a person got from point a to point b.

If I didn't know any better i would say you have a town read of lilly just because she has 4 votes on her.

there is the argument that she got 4 votes on her fairly quick. That can sometimes be seen as a townie getting run up

Normally happens when the counter wagon is scum or town is desperate. i would bet the wagon on lily is town alligned personally.

But if we assume scum might be there its reason to be disconcerted, not throw away the read.

Posted

The bigger issue being that I haven't said I have a town reason on Lily or even that condemn the train.  I have only said that I didn't think it was a good direction for me to go in.  The rest is you putting words in my mouth Sili

Posted

it also happens when it looks like the person is the only lynch candidate and scum dont care as its not one of them

Not as often since there isn't reason to put half the scum team on one wagon

.

It shouldn't be a serious consideration for darthe anyway.

Btw, I'm not pushing Sili as scum here, I'm trying to work with him because he is putting in a lot of effort and I just can't get a read seemingly due to little discrepancies.  That's annoying.
