Darthe... I get why scum made a point of keeping him around. They could use him as a front for mislynches and then pin it on him.

I'm not going to lie, this conversation did happen. But mostly we needed to keep him around long enough to keep YOU distracted. These epic TvT arguments are so awesome for scum I can't overstate the impact.

 

That said; I think that you are being too hard on Darthe for personal reasons. Objectively, he actually made himself pretty much unlynchable by D3 and, as you saw, had good reads. He just didn't have the numbers in his favor required to push through his top lynch candidates. ANY of his lynches going through would have been the end for us.

Him getting his head out of his ass towards end game isn't redeeming in my eyes. He cost us at least 2 days where we could have been lynching scum instead of talking about him.

Verbal was killed to continue the distraction Darthe had become. You were actually part of that.

I considered vetoing your kill on N2 to keep you fighting. The only reason I didn't is because I assumed you would wise up on D3 when Darthe was still there, looked at the wagons, then realized he was being set up.

Leelou *had* to be killed. She was Loved. We couldn't have the last Town PR stay alive. That's not our way!

The only thing Darthe did that helped us was Town read Eldrick. As far as I know, this was their first game playing together. So I think Darthe cutting him some slack wasn't a huge flaw. He still had me and Thane. Plus his fallback plan of lynching Dice was obviously a reasonable alternative.

Also, he was pretty obviously VT and we were looking for a Seer or Healer or some other PR that might be able to trip us up.

He wasn't pretty obviously town at all and had I been alive D3 I would have lynched him. End of story. My misread of him isn't on me, it's on HIM. He didn't play pro-town. His scumhunting was bad till close to the end of the game. And you used the distraction he caused to get mislynches. You choosing to fuel that distraction isn't in question, but he started the mess and it snowballed from there. Nothing he did was helpful to finding scum OR helping to read him correctly. All he did was insert discord. If he was just being useless I wouldn't have minded that much but apparently that's not enough nowadays.

I saw that in the Dead Thread. Yeah. There's NO WAY you ever disclose that in thread! It's best to have everyone just assume it's the case. Kind of like MrsClov.

 

MrsClov - I think the ONE THING I'd suggest is being just a little less forthcoming with info when you are a 1X. You had enough Town credit. If you had made us sweat you possibly shooting one of us? We probably would have NKed you on N2. And if you are justa VT at that point? You did your job.
