Oh god...

Maybe it's me. I can't find the post where Sili flip flops on Thane.

He made one right? I'm not crazy right?

I feel like I'm losing my mind tonight.

not surprised by this at all.

pls help

I'm dead serious I know this post exists but I can't find it.

I know he said it.

Do you remember him saying it? And like maybe around what page?

You should learn how to ISO, it helps. He has 6 pages of posts alone.

:/

FINE

Would you mind explaining how to do it again?

Well, I think DM is acting up. His pages of posts just disappeared on me.

But yeah, stay in this topic, scroll all the way to the top. click on the magnifying glass next to search, it will pull up an error. You put in his name, exactly as it is Sili Quirrels in author and then search.

Thank you.

And yeah I'm only seeing like 5-10 posts not all of his posts.

Annnnnnnnnd it turns out I'm just a huge asshole.

Here is the original quote I took issue with.

Speaking aloud here, but maybe thane is one of those players who needs to keep notes and build his reads from the ground up. Last game he posted notes, maybe that's how he makes reads.

I can't really relate.

Here is my response.

And now you back peddle and jump on the fence with Thane.

This is what I'm talking about. Why did you say he's an easy lynch and now you're backing off that?

I thought you were confident in your reads?

Honestly, I suspect this has nothing to do with alignment. I think this is just the way you are.

It's weird and frustrating. Reminds me of EP.

And here is your response to my response.

Correction, I said he was an easy 'mislynch'. Get facts straight imo.

And I'm not backtracking there. I'm reconsidering and updating the thread with conjecture.

As you can all see, Sili did not literally change his position. That was my interpretation of his words.

When he went to correct me I think I started arguing about the easy mislynch being the same thing as being an easy lynch and it just spiraled from there.

I do still hold the position that I believe Sili changed his stance but that was my interpretation and may not have been accurate. I was putting words in his mouth and I feel like a huge idiot now. In retrospect I should have just asked him to clarify what his position on Thane was not argue about whether being an easy mislynch is the same thing as being an easy lynch.

You have my sincere apology Sili.

Now that I feel like the stupidest person in the world let me just ask, what is your current position on Thane Sili?

Did you in fact change your mind about him being an easy lynch (or mislynch)?

Or do you still think that statement holds true?

Uh, sure.

No problem here.

Thane is generally easy to lynch if no one defends him. He has a difficult to read town game, and I often find myself compelled to tunnel him.

I have him as town. The caveat is I don't know his scum range so I can't justify defending him. All I can say is he's capable of these posts as town, and I don't think he's sly enough to fake it. (but could be wrong)

Verb <3 - Verb's posts have been decent. I liked his exchange with Tina, but the Spidey could use some work. Hon, what do you think of Nolder? Also, don't ignore me.

Sili  - Got people to start talking, but generally null with a sprinkling of both town and scum. I don't like the fact that he tried to say he wouldn't be picked and his reads list isn't very captivating. I find it easier to read Sili when he's starting to get pressure and see how he reacts. To answer your question - I was back at work after being off for a week and had a project dumped in my lap that was due by COB.

Thane - Thane is Thane. Only really interacting with Sili. Need to see more here, actual commentary on the game. Null, Null, Null

Hallia - Made a few posts, didn't really say a lot. Has Nyn and AJ as townies. Seems to feel strongly enough that Nol's comment was odd and voted him. The vote has a slight omgus feel to it, slight scum to null.

Nol - Nothing wrong with his posts before 3:41 pm EST yesterday. I don't really agree with his reads on Hallia (she tends to disappear, no offence) and Crusher. Crusher isn't really adding anything of value to the game besides his lovable self.

Tina - I don't really like how easily she's clearing Sili, but I do like that she is asking lots of questions and has a thread presence. She seems to be trying to figure out the game, but I will have to watch her posts going forward. For the moment, slight town lean.

Crushlove - I know Boo Boo isn't here, I miss him dearly, but I'm need more from you. What are your thoughts on some of the players? You know a few of us enough.

Nyn - Nyn's posts are solid, nothing seems out of place. I'll be looking as the game goes on to see if she is more guarded with her words, but she's in my town pile. Plus, busty.

Kaylee - Answered Sili right off the bat. Seems to be coming up with town reads, but not really much for scum reads. Meh, I'll see how I feel after she catches up.

AJ - Seems to be interacting well with who questions him, no squirming.

dice - Not a lot to go on here, got defensive about saying he gave reads in his first post. His reads were meh, not really much of anything to them. Starting to focus on me, me, me and not picking up anything and running with it. Getting a slight scum feel.

Red - going after people for the wrong things, really not liking the small things she is pushing over. Looks like she is trying to find anything to fling around and make stick. Null to scum lean.

[v]Red[/v]

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. I didn't like the reason Nol was reading her as scum since she does what he has a scum tell for her as both alignments. I have her as slight scum to null for the content of her posts.

I got that. Problem was you read Hallia as a wolf, and then knock Nolder's case on her, but don't offer a stronger argument to replace it.

Ok.

Is there anything else you wanted to talk about?

Otherwise I'm done for the night.

Nah, I need to think and I'm tired myself.

Thanks for hashing this out with me. I know it was a chore.

Posted

Yeah np. Sorry again.

I don't like to misrep people. At least not unintentionally lol.

Alright I'm out for the night.

I still need to reread about Dice and Nyn and such but I guess that's tomorrows problem.

Order below doesn't matter

Town leans

Verb <3

Nol

Tina

Crushlove

Sili

Null

Thane - can't read him yet.

AJ - going back and forth on if I want him in my town pile. He was more there yesterday, but his spat with Verbal isn't sitting well with me, so I've moved him down.

Red - she really has been going after people for the wrong reasons, and at least twice she put words in my mouth I never said and called her on it. I did like her responses yesterday about Kaylee, but that's been about it. She's currently hovering right above the scum line for me.

Scum leans

Hallia - her vote on Nol felt forced and very omgusy. Also, her comment after EOD on dice seemed out of place, especially where she didn't really have a presence during the day or mention that she was against his lynch.

Kaylee - Consistently backtracking yesterday when questioned and moving her vote around a lot. Going with the flow. I didn't like her vote on Dice.

Dead

dice - lynched D1 - train: AJ (#346), Tina (#374), Kaylee (#383), Red2111 (#461), Nynaeve (#467), The Crusher (#469)

Nyn - NK N1

D1.13 Vote Count Final

Dice (6): AJ (#346), Tina (#374), Kaylee (#383), Red2111 (#461), Nynaeve (#467), The Crusher (#469)

Nolder (1): Hallia (#195)
Red (1): Thane (#259)
Kaylee (1): Leelou (#407)

Sili (1): Nolder (#420)

Unvote (1): Dice (#180)

Not Voting (2): Sili Quirrels, Verbal32

dicetosser1 has been lynched. Write-up incoming...

Could vote for either Kaylee or Hallia right now.

Can someone summarize Crusher's meta for me, so that I have an idea of what to look for?

Easy town cred up for grabs. Stll in need of a response to this.

I think Verbal or Lee are better suited to answer that since they have a lot more experience with him. I don't really have his meta down quite yet. He's typically not an easy read for me.

You had me at hello.

Pretty simple. I did think you had points of merit and was content to proceed through D1 having you in my group of non suspects. That's with no information to go on and mostly looking at everyone from a face value aspect. The game has progressed and I am allowing my reads to develop further. Just because I had you in green D1 doesn't mean you'll stay there for the entirety of the game. I've noticed things such as what I mentioned before and I thought Crusher was pretty insightful with his content regarding you - which I kind of alluded to after he posted it.

You're playing a super clean game, I'll give you that. But it also kind of puts my back up. For players of your experience level it's not hard to put on a good face for short periods of time whenever you're present in the thread. So like I said - you aren't #1 but my suspicion of you is growing, especially after the jab you took earlier.

I meant to ask before. Would you consider that sort of statement something you'd make exclusively as scum?

Oh I know you were referring to me when Crusher made his "too townie" allegation towards me.  You made it obvious with your next few posts, which I'm sure was your intent.

But you can't sit here and say I'm green and have maybe 8-10 posts of literally agreeing with practically everything I say, and then turn around and say I fell flat D1 when those agreements of yours came while I was around.  After I left, there is no way to fall flat - I simply wasn't here.

I get your read can change - but you're saying I'm a top suspect when I was (the last time I was online) a greener read.

Allegations?  No. Technique.  Please be patient.

Nynaeve was rummaging through some photographs in the greeting station of an old, broken down roller-coaster ride when the Carnival's lakeside PA erupted in static. The white noise slowly lulled into a soft hum, and not before long something new crackled from the old speakers.

It's the soft lull of an acoustic guitar; a man began singing, intently and intensely.

We sent out the SOS call;

it was a quarter past four in the morning

when the storm broke our second anchor line.

Four months at sea,

four months of calm seas to be pounded

in the shallows off the tip of Montauk Point.

She listened wistfully before quickly jerking backward. A hand had poked her on the shoulder.

corycurren stood tall in front of her, empty eyes appraising her carefully.

"You are looking for your friends, are you not?"

"Who are you?" Nynaeve stammered back.

"Relax. I manage this park - about an our ago, we got a notification that two patrons were seperated from a friend. You match that description."

Breaths of quick relief escaped Nynaeve's chest.

"I know it's been a long night; hell, since this whole thing's been such an ordeal, we are just going to sweep the fact that the three of you snuck in here while we were closed under the carpet. I mean, we clearly still need some cleaning up to do before we are ready for customers... but we understand your enthusiasm."

It seemed like this long nightmare had come to an end.

The song on the PA continued:

They call them rogues, they travel fast and alone.

One-hundred-foot faces of God's good ocean gone wrong.

What they call love is a risk,

cause you will always get hit out of nowhere

by some wave and end up on your own.

corycurren explained the situation to her slowly.

"Your friends are waiting by the Log Flume. It's pretty close to here - I'll take you there myself. They should be there waiting."

A white gloved hand extended courteously toward Nynaeve. She scanned his face - brown hair, clean-shaven, hazel eyes empty of sympathy. Just looking into his eyes led a trail of goosebumps from her arm to her spine. She looked away nervously.

"I'll just follow behind you, if you don't mind."

corycurren was off quickly, setting a brisk pace. She jogged after him, letting the unsettling night wash away in the sound of the PA.

Your tongue is a rudder,

it steers the whole ship.

Sends your words past your lips,

or keeps them safe behind your teeth.

But the wrong words will strand you,

come off course while you sleep.

Sweep your boat out to sea -

you're dashed to bits on the reef.

There was nobody at the Log Flume.

Before Nynaeve could ask, corycurren had already begun speaking.

"They should be here soon. Well, since you did come and see the Carnival and all, why don't you take a ride on the Log Flume? It's 100% ready - we tested it earlier this week. It's faster than it's ever been. Makes quite a splash."

"I'll pass," Nynaeve said nervously.

"I insist."

Beyond the nervousness and fear that had wracked her body the whole night, Nynaeve couldn't deny she loved the Log Flume; it was her favorite ride. It was a cold night, but the thrill of the fall... she shook her head. She didn't know where these feelings had come from. But they had time to spare - so why not?

"Alright, let's go."

The PA speakers whispered on:

The vessel groans;

the ocean pressures its frame.

To the port I see the lighthouse,

through the sleet and rain.

And I wish for one more day to give my love and repay debts.

But the morning finds our bodies washed up,

thirty miles west.

"Are you not coming, too?" Nynaeve asked her guide, as she strapped herself into the sturdy, wood seating. corycurren shook his head, gently pressing down the iron safety bar.

"I'll keep a lookout for your friends. Plus, someone needs to operate the ride."

He walked over to the operator panel and flashed a devious smile. His hand came down on hard on the center of the panel, and suddenly Nynaeve's cart was in motion.

It churned up a steep incline, mechanical gears pushing her further and further, until she was at the tippy top. The early night sky was a gorgeous red, and she could see the whole Carnival from the peak of the ride. But it was no sight like the night sky; decrepit, abandoned tents and dead topography. The shivers running through her body suddenly returned. Why had she agreed to come on this ride? What was she doing?

Just then, the cart hit the decline. She dropped fast. The water approached, quicker and quicker, as the wind slammed her hair straight into the air.

SPLASHHHHHHH~

The impact of the water hit her skin like a ton of bricks. The water was cold. Too cold. Freezing cold.

She tried to scream but water quickly flew into her lungs. She coughed hard and closed her mouth. The cart had hit the water already! But it was still going down. Down deeper and deeper and deeper...

Survival instinct kicked in. Nynaeve thrashed at the seatbelt that held her in, pushed her arms hard against the iron bar that held her from escape. It wouldn't move an inch. She pushed harder, now the force of her body slamming against the bar. Something in the internal machinery gave out, and the bar creaked up. She pushed herself off the floor of the little log cart, finally rid of her constraints.

Now loose in the water, she kicked as hard as she could, propelling herself upward with all of her conscious fervor, beating and scraping in a battle against the undercurrents and presssure. No, she would not go quietly.

She could almost see the surface when everything went dark.

The PA crooned on, brusquely unaware of the plight happening just below the thin veneer of blue:

They say that the captain stays fast with the ship,

through still and storm.

But this ain't the Dakota, and the water is cold.

We won't have to fight for long.

This is the end.

Nynaeve's chance of survival have... sunk.

She was 1x Watcher / Innocent Child.

You did not escape. Try again? zPXU69O.gif

Rest in piece Yummy bunny.

I couldn't even finish all of that dialogue between Nolder and Sili. Not the best way of waking up without some coffee in me

Apparently you guys resolved it? That's great. Now let's stop running in circles on some dumb topic and get back to business.

Also, good morning.

Posted
@Leelou Can you explain why you have Sili and Nolder both in your town pile? I'm assuming it's from their exchange over the past 36hrs?
Posted

Oh and forgot to ask in #745

@Nolder & Sili Now that you guys have come to some sort of agreement what are your reads on one another?

Posted

*thwaps am & verb* I have u guys as town, no arguing like that >:(

Nol and sili gave me a headache but the entire thing is a null for me. *double thwaps nol for the tunneling comment*

Sili not voting dice at deadline even though he said he would moves him to the red for me. The move comes off as him wanting to avoid vote analysis pattern sloothing later on. I also dislike his early game linking himself to dice moves

Nyn being gone sucks.

Hallia is starting to ping hard with her lurktasticness

Only change in my reads list is to move sili from Orange to red, and hallia to orange. I can vote leelou, sili, thane or kay.
