Weird case to come from someone who doesnt takes slips seriously. Contradictions and slips are kind of the same thing right.

A slip is supposed to be a subconscious revealing of your true intentions or affiliations.

 

A contradiction is when you say something and then say the opposite.

 

Put another way, they're lapses in judgement that hint at a scum point of view. Slips and contradictions suggest a person has failed to maintain their act and broken the fourth wall.

 

The person who considers a slip a scum tell, also considers a contradiction one.  Likewise, the person who doesn't condemn someone for making an awkward statement, probably doesn't condemn them for awkward communication either.

 

Hence my thinking it's weird. And I'm not entirely sure what to make of it yet, since I can't relate. I hold neither contradictions or slips as scum tells unless I know for a fact it's not a misunderstanding.

I've seen people skip out on games because they were being lynched here.

I don't think Dice is doing that but it has happened in the past.

just going over old news, but i wanted to say nolder's first post shows a lot of flexibility and genuine progression. i really like it.

I think most people would pick their friends or whomever they're most comfortable with. For example I probably wouldn't pick Kaylee and I don't think she'd pick me. I don't think we've ever been on a team before and it would be kind of awkward at the least.

 

This is a good post up to that last part. Whoever chose did so with a purpose most likely. I highly doubt they went to random.org and picked two names out of a hat. That said, I don't think we'll be privy to the reason until after the game is over.

 

Ok, well put. I take back what I said about the lazy post. You put more thought into it now and I'm ok with that.

 

As for what you said I'd like to add that who one person says they think is strong obviously may not coincide with what another person believes and we've got more than one person out there with reason to lie and manipulate our results so anything we decide as a group is tainted and unreliable.

Specifically when he says later I didn't offer any 'best mafia' players. It feels like a continuation of the bold.

 

 

There are things I don't like too. I.e. giving hallia an easy town lean. But I think overall it's a very serious post about scum hunting.
