I would say reduce the day and night requirements. The current game being run by Tommy is perfect. Extending D1 to more than 3-4 days would just increase the post count making it that much harder to catch up, especially for those like me who are not in the real-time timezone. Keep the days 3 days and night less than 24 hours.

I tried a 24 hour per phase cycle once. Some people liked it, some didn't.

I also tend to aim for 48/24 for day and night for a lot of my games which seems to work out ok.

I don't understand why some mods are still clinging to really long deadlines.

It's like being an alcoholic but sometimes when you're drinking it's actually spoiled milk instead of delicious liquor.

I'm disgusted with the stated of mafia but I'll keep drinking and hope it turns back into my favorite drink some day.

Well...I don't know about liking it. But I do have a quote that I let guide me in situations like this.

It means I like mafia enough to play when the game is stacked.

It doesn't matter if everyone is inactive, spamming, ignoring me, hates me, whatever.

If I can find a game I will play the game. Because no matter what's wrong with it it'll be the only game in town.

Me too. Even when I know I shouldn't play, I still do. The only reason I'm not right now is because with a newborn, a toddler, and only about 3 hours of sleep on any given day, I really really don't have the sanity atm.

 

...but I am still reading Tress's game and Kivam's on JN and am in both DTs lol.

This queue will contain the mod next on the list. There is a cap of 2 Basic & 2 Advanced games playing at any given time. If you are at the front of the queue and you see a game of the applicable type winding down, you may post signups for your game. Once signups are complete, you must wait for one of the current games (following the game cap rules) to end before starting your game thread. At that point, a mod will lock the signup thread and sticky your game thread. This will make it easier to see what games are currently running.

except for the totally gone jack D, and the ppl on maternity or other RL leave, everyone on this mod list also plays.

 

if that's a reasonable criteria for you.

 

you don't have to drive anyone off, they're leaving on their own.

 

by the time most of these games come up, the mods won't be able to do them anymore anyway.
