Also, I wanted to say this at the end of the other game but I don't think it will end in time so I'll say it now; last game made me realize we can't do the 3 Amigos thing any more and Dice and I can't do our soul reads. Now that it's public info and sort of an acknowledged truth between us it's like talking in code and borderline cheating.   :sad:

 

I appreciated you not taking advantage of the Dusty Bottoms thing, though!  Very solid character play right there.

I just don't understand why it was brought up. The fact that he got mislynched a lot isn't meta. No one is referring to anything he usually does as town/scum. It's just being said that people often misread him.... so what? Am I supposed to try to read him and then choose the opposite alignment? No. I'm gonna do my best to read him based on his content and hope that his actions reflect his alignment. And if he keeps playing in a way that comes off as sketchy... then he's gonna continue being mislynched. But that's neither here nor there.

 

Yep.  It used to be when people got mislynched a lot, they tried to change how they played.  That being said, Thane looks ok to me right now.

so, the way i see it, this is what's happening: i feel flattered about all the attention, but it also worries me. Wolves could easily support me here, and when i flip town, gain towncred for doing so.

 

I am certainly NOT asking for a pass; let me try to play the game with you and see where we get. If you deem me scummy, then i failed, easy.  

 

Nyn, i understand your concern. I probably would mention it too if another player would 'go for meta'. Just let me try to get you to know me, or, as i said earlier, allow me to give you insight :wink:

Actually, I would argue that blue there is a ping from Leelou.  She knows very well that I always post Spidey regardless of alignment, and that the amount posted coincides with the atmosphere of the thread.  Serious really early?  Prob a minimum amount of Spidey.  Spammy/fluffy early?  Open season, baby.

I'm sorry, but more of the 2nd.  I find a lot of spam in your posts throughout the game and I probably miss stuff that I should be paying attention to.  I'm spamming right now, too, but it pretty much ends after D1.

i WAS expecting something from either you, Leelou or Csarmi... like i usually get when i post silly things like that. Des usually gives me hell as soon as he sees me doing something like that, and now he only focused on my response to Barm's vote on me. For now, i think Csarmi's lack of and Des's way to reply are off.

Well, I didn't say much about it because I was on your case for "silly stuff" last game and you were town.  Due to me misreading you, I'd rather sit back and observe more.

 

 
I don't think I've ever seen you sit back and observe.  I've got this problem right now where Verb looks internally inconsistent and yet Barm is a town lean in my mind.  Verb plz explain.

I think it's too early to toss out such high conjecture.  Salami and Verb both are meh currently but Des and Barm look good despite both being eh on me IMO.  I wouldn't try to link anything yet.  

 

I saw it. Looked wolfy. Like you were trying to lay some bait out and see if others followed.

 

Def not much to back up a wolf connection between us so far (I also have the advantage of KNOWING were not scum together) so it seemed meh and lazy

 

I'm town, Thane so your connection makes no sense to me. Furthermore, i couldn't even see what on earth made you say that. So what sort of reaction did you expect?

 

Des looks so genuine this round that it's heightening my concern of Salami.  Look at how out of shape he got over this.  Also, you two gave vastly different responses to the same accusation to the same person.  Both were equally self centered but beyond that...  DES how can you place your POV on someone and try to push them for not knowing what you know about your alignment?  Salami why the overreaction?

 

Why are we talking about this? I'm not going to base my read on Thane on what he rolled in recent games and the fact that he got mislynched. Either we need to learn to read him better or he needs to adjust his play to be more readable. Or both. So lets put previous games aside cause they have no bearing on what he rolled this game.

 

I'm basically gonna try and understand where you're coming from, Thane, and make my own conclusions. But yeah, drop the previous games commentary.

This is one of those things that it is better to be conscious of and not say.  I actually think that on you it looks townie despite being objectively a wolfy thing to say since it looks like bargaining.

Now, how do you feel about the other players? I ask this to get to know your way of thinking, i doubt we ever played together before. 

 

We haven't. I'm just back from a multi-year break.

 

Still formulating my opinion on most. Liking Arsis, not liking Darthe.

Stelio, i'm looking forward to getting to know you as a player. I believe it's also our first game together. 

 

I do see some people mentioning Darthe... interesting.

From what little I have gathered of Darthe (which consists of talking to Tom pregame and half-assedly skimming a couple games) he seems like the type to get out over his skis -- which is why I'm not especially interested in dissecting exactly how seriously I should be taking the line of inquiry.

 

 

 

He's a player that can help town well if town, and can hide well as wolf. Interesting player, to put it like that.
