You're welcome [not sarcasm]. At least you know where I'm at wrt last night's posts. I saw something that supports your vote - contrary to what I was thinking - so I'm acknowledging the post.

But you're telling me what I already know and you're not doing it in a manner I find... organic. It comes off as "hey look at all the #work I'm doing!"

I read. I see something. I post. I go back and continue reading. I see something new. I post. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Not sure how this could possibly be any more organic. Try throwing a little more dirt, though.

To your eternal joy I am happy to report that I'm caught up. I think I missed a few pages from Monday night but otherwise I'm ready to be in the moment.

Tommy is down to 80.

I had a good run at 90 for a while there. I could feel the salty breeze of the lock clear air on my skin. Now the air is chilly but it's got a nice fall crispness to it. I would like some cider.

Sure. I haven't seen anything that would move you out of scum range yet. Keep trying little buddy!

I think Yates already knows Thane is gonna flip scum.

Yeah. I have a strong inclination. That's why my vote is there.

And this means Clov might be telling the truth too. His premature comments come across as if he's trying to be one step ahead in the events of Thane getting lynched. If this is really what he would conclude upon Thane's flip... then why not wait for the day to be concluded... see who actually gets lynched... SEE the flip... and then make an educated conclusions. The fact that he's mentioning it at this point is a reference point he'll come back to later if and when Thane gets lynched.

Oh well. At least this means Thane prolly is scum. So there is that.

I don't even know how to respond to this. Vote Thane?

That's alright. My scum range is vast. It includes looking ridiculously Town. I get that.

Also, you're doing a pretty good job of moving yourself IN to scum range. I mean, Csarmi has you down to 81%. You should be shook.

Kaylee is the votecount correct? I have only Clov on me and two votes.

Why is Clov on me BTW when he said Tommy was sure scum?!

It's correct to my knowledge.

I'm just finding it puzzling that two people that have been playing mafia for as long as they have somehow find it difficult to understand how their treatment of a potential mislynch might cast suspicion on their slots. It boggles the mind. I'm boggled.

I understand the concept. I do not understand you agreeing with or seeing some merit to hmy personal interpretation of Clov's play and then finding me suspicious for it. That's opportunism.

I found merit in your PURSUIT of Clov's play. I found no merit or conviction in your resistance to the Thane wagon. THAT is what's bothering me. I guess you could characterize that as "opportunism" in the sense that any Townie finding someone being scummy for scum reasons is "opportunistic." Scum Thane means Scum Tommy, given how resistant you were to the Thane wagon, imo. If this were on anyone else? You'd probably be agreeing. *shrug*

I'm done talking about it with you and Nyn, though. You're too close to the sun and your posts are all melty and smell like burnt hair. I'd be happy to engage in intelligent discussion with anyone else if they have a concern, though.

Alanna what's your current read on AJ? Or everyone?

Coming up.

Speaking of Alanna, I cut her some slack earlier when someone was reaching and trying to say that one of her posts contradicted her stated perspective on meta being worthless. So when she gets into meta arguments about Hally it just strikes me as off. That's why she isn't green for me. One of those little internal inconsistencies that makes you think.

I get that there's not a lot to her posts, but she seems fluffier than usual to me.

This is what I've said about meta ITT:

Sili, being that you're unfamiliar with most of these players, my advice is to try and not rely on meta that much. I don't really play often enough to be very familiar with people's metas either, and I dislike relying much on what someone tells me about other players' metas.

I kind of feel like there's a little too much talk about meta around here anyway.

I have now typed "meta" so many times that it's lost all meaning to me lol.

For the record, I don't think meta is a totally useless tool to use. But it's fairly useless to me on a lot of these players, because I don't play often enough to feel like I can use it effectively. Even sometimes on players I used to play a lot with, because metas change.

Bold is mine. I don't think meta is worthless. But I came back to DM mafia earlier this year after a long break, and I still don't play all that often. As a result, I'm not familiar with a lot of people's metas. For instance, I've played with Tommy once, several months back. I played with Clov once, in a game where I unfortunately ended up being very inactive. I've seen your play a little, Yates, in some games I've skimmed through, but I don't think I've ever played with you before. And then, even people like Verb, who I used to play with a lot - his meta has changed some, so I'm not sure what it's like now.

I won't claim to be the expert on Hallia or anything, but in the 5 or 6 games I've played since I've been back, she's been in most if not all of them, and I've seen her play scum twice that I can think of. So she is a player that I feel a little more confident about, in terms of her playstyle.

Yeah. I didn't mean to imply you aren't intelligent. I see how you could infer that and apologize for not being more clear.

You are, however, being emotional. And I think that's jading your logic. I was simply saying that I'd like for anyone ELSE that might have a concern to engage me in discussion that isn't emotion-based.

Fair enough. Do you have non meta reasons for finding Hally scum that you can summarize? I *just* got caught up in this game and really don't want to go back and reread if you can just give me a TL/DR version. Thanks.

Ah yes. I forgot that women around you just can't help getting over-excited and emotional.....

True. Just look at Tommy. All flustered.

Are you convinced that Thane is scum?

More so than anyone else. Yes?

Talk me into it then.

Okay.  Without getting into a huge case or anything, how many Thane posts can you think of off the top of your head?

Now.  With that number in mind, what if I told you that Than has FIVE PAGES of ISO?

I thought I could ISO Thane lickety split and give you some examples of posts that bothered me thinking he'd only have a page or two.  I was like "this guy has FIVE pages of posts??"

I prefer not to lynch Hally or Thane.

What makes Thane Town to you?

Too Wolfy to be a werewolf.

But mostly just... Not enough to decide. Friday he was, I dunno. He looked bad but he could have been just getting into the game. Warming up you know.

Then missing the weekend and the way he came back on Monday was. Hmm. How to put it. He got attention and prolly would be more careful as a wolf.

I think there is a high chance that he simply never got his footing right. Like never managing to get the hang of it.

Mostly my concern is that he's just never was around enough to interact real time and that's where he'd shine or show.

Also too much pushing his way.

I just don't feel good about lynching him.
