I've found Turin to seem generally townie from all I've read so far and is making a lot of sense

Now this is interesting.

I've found that reasoning to be baseline from both of you.  If they are scum together Manbat pointed a neon arrow at himself with that post and the way he stated it added bold lettering to the whole thing.

I've never been great at catching Turin as scum.  Is his tell that he is inorganic on thread?  I just associate that with boredom but he can't be bored in this game when he is putting so much effort into it so...???  I'm interested.

That's a scumtell for 97% of players, but what I'm personally getting out comparing his play here to the previous town game is that his reasoning for finding people either town or scum in this game is SUPER shallow compared to the level of depth even his questions in Star Wars display above. And yes, "inorganic" is one way to put it. "Disinterested" or "lack of curiosity" are others.

For me personally a big part of how I read Turin is how he handles me, since we have had this rivalry thing for a while. So can't help you there unfortunately, Irt reading Turin I general.

I think I HAVE pointed out many things that make him very likely to be scum THIS game tho

The violence against tom and darthe is really not okay and needs to stop immediately imo

Opportunistic and scummy post imo

You can see the behind the scenes thought process of townie players in their questions and ramblings. They'll seek parallels and try to link events together to make sense of them and decide whether there's a connection. (Example: me noticing that Turin and Pral are somehow invisibly linked.) So townie questioning will often have an underlying premise that matches their behind the scenes thinking that may not yet be in the thread. The problem is I haven't seen that from either of the duo today. Their thoughts are extremely surficial. I would expect them to be more interested in piecing together suspects when they've been wagoned for a while.

How do you feel about TG's claim, Turin?

I don't feel anything about it. Flavour wise it seems to fit. I am leaning to believe the claim. Not sure how Miller fits in with Standard type mafia set up however.

Arsis, is a quest bar some sort of protein thing? Or is it where adventurers go to tell tales?

I want to specifically note this post.  Anyone sincerely interested in if Turin is scum or not examine this and Tommy's quote of him from a previous game.  Here he says: Don't Feel anything about it.  Seems to fit. Leaning to Believe.  Not sure how fits setup.

We get the same sense of redundancy (can anyone confirm if thats a town or scum trait of his?), feelings rather than thoughts, a bit of OT later, sandwiching his statements with less consequential bits and leading a narrative, also possibly forcing a narrative.  This will be interesting to look at if anyone has an example of his town play.

Oh, and if someone is town telling you can usually get a sense for what their internal thought process is. You can start to anticipate what their next question will be or who they will end up voting for and why. You and Des are clearly displaying this congruence right now.

Compare this to someone like Dice: I have no idea what the next post out of his mouth will be. I never do. It makes him impossible for me to read.

I quoted some Town!Turin posts from Star Wars, have a gander.

Grats Des.

@Tommy - I feel that Turin does have a point about you in his read list. That's close to how I feel. I'll analyse this when I have the time.

Im going yo check the star wars game pressure you put on me for cross reference on your d1 pressure.

Either I got the time for that today or you need to wait till next week. But at least now you (and the player base) does know what I'm referring to and can look it up.

Fair enough?

Also I couldn't talk to Hally for days. I think she's super busy because their nights/weekends girl has quit.

I'll try yo carry the torch but after Wednesday I may be super busy.

Ok maybe its cause this is a new thing for me but when people start going digging in other games for evidence of what so and so did there and how it correlates here, it has the opposite effect then desired on me. It makes me suspect the person going to all that effort and feeling better to the person who is being talked about.

I think its cause it seems like someone, tommy in this case for eg has gone to SO MUCH extra effort that it makes me sus on them a bit. When its someone like Tommy I put my shiny silver hat on cause im already sus on him. Always am. Same with des.

I seem to remember bringing this up before i think.

I dont read them because thats that game and had its own dynamics, different players etc and this is this game with its own dynamics and players.

Why does this not surprise me at all?

Yay I'm forgettable

I like how people are getting suspicion for trying too hard.

That's called being overly paranoid

How long are you gonna do this?
