it's the abbreviated test.

find the five hour one, it's much more accurate.

Link?

I don't know anywhere they give it free but I'll look

I don't know if any of thus is free and none of it is without strings.

they gave us the full test in one of my psych classes in college as part of an experiment cause we had to be subjects for the credit but I'm not sure they give it away.

you can look for yung like personality tests, there are a few knockoffs that are pretty close.

I'm not paying money for a personality test.

I found a pretty good knockoff

You're Marshmallow!

Though you’re a person of few words, the ones you do speak are powerful. You take your job seriously, but given the opportunity you’ll come out of your shell and shine.

I didn't watch frozen btw.

I watched Frozen (several times in fact, the joys of having a 7 yr old daughter), and I'm pretty sure "Marshmallow" isn't a character. I call hijinks.

Oh man finally something that I know about!

Nol, don't waste your time with those "profile" segments that you find online for these.  They're most often about as valid as horoscopes and hardly more insightful.  In reality your ISTP doesn't mean that you're unsociable, nitpicky or distant though you may well be.  They're fairly irrelevant to it despite that being how most people perceive that score.

A more apt psychological way of explaining it is that as an "I" you would be more worn down by long social events than an E would (also only 24% of people are classified truly as introverts).  As an S you are more likely to catch details before a big picture, to be more abstract in art etc.  As a T you likely value your ability to reason out an argument over your immediate reactions, regardless of whether you give in to them or not and as a P if I were to walk into your room and move something it wouldn't bug you nearly as much as it would a true J who would consider that item "out of place".

Love the Myers-Briggs, though it should really be called the Jung-Myers.

Also your personality isn't measured here.  Your method of interpreting the world around you is and that develops as you gain more knowledge.  Personality has an effect but your scores should and will shift based on things such as your mood/recent events of importance/life shifts etc.  The best way to get an accurate gauge of how you are changing as a person is to take the test about once every three months for a year to get a score radius and then take it again every half decade or so if you want to keep track.  Alternatively take it once and accept that.  I'll take it again for this but I am generally an ENTP, very slight on the E and N.

Darthe as a psych student go ahead and predict what I'll get and I'll take it to see how you would do

I actually graduated and am doing masters now  but since I know you only from the internet it is going to be difficult to get a good read.  People let online anonymity affect them a lot and this is a self measure test.  With that in mind I'll give it a shot.

I think you will be an

ENFJ

I am confident that you are an E despite spending so much time on an internet game.  Not only is it more probable but your daughters likely will push you that way and you're very outgoing.  The only reasons I hesitate on this are because of the online interaction and the fact that you get worn down on people.

N I choose most hesitantly.  I expect you to be between the border of N and a medium S.  You're detail oriented as noted in your WoT's but I am betting that you'll answer differently because you don't interpret yourself as such.  This argument could also apply to the T/F though I think even you realize that you're an F.

J is the easiest.  You're so regimented in your analytical POV and in defining what is and isn't scummy that you've got a clear judgemental nature (not meant in the common derogatory way).

So there =p  Probably not at all what you will get but it is what I expect you are based on your online persona.

That is basically how I treat these types of things.

The description definitely feels very accurate except for one difference- I have no problem with conflict or engaging others argumentatively (tho respectfully)

I act WAY more extroverted online than I do irl, so I can see why you thought different there.

I use a detail oriented approach in building cases in mafia, but build my actual suspicions off of very subtle cues. Likewise, irl I constantly look for subtle signs and small discrepancies instead of focusing on black and white matters.

I'm as surprised as you are that I didn't swing further over into the F range. I am very emotional irl, and my sensitivity is both a blessing and a curse at times

I posture an INCREDIBLE amount in mafia so I can understand you thinking I'm judgemental. I find humility to be one of the most virtuous traits believe it or not, and also believe in the general goodness of man; imo there are EXTREMELY few actual "evil" people and that the vast majority of suffering in this world is caused by misunderstanding and misperceptions. I don't blame the criminal, I blame the society that lets the conditions which helped create the criminal go on unabated. However, in mafia this pov is very unproductive and unlikely to help catch the "scum"

I would prefer to find the 493 question version copied from Myers-Briggs online.  If I do I'll post it here and we will get better results.  I still suspect that you may be a J despite getting a P on this test.

@WBK I will have to get to that tomorrow.  I hunted for a few things tonight and for whatever reason couldn't find them online but the short of it is that FJ's, especially IFJ's have to watch out for taking things too personally and getting really reactive in life.  That's about the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.

Posted

I was STRONG in the P side and that doesn't surprise me at all knowing how I am

Again tho, I posture a LOT in mafia and act much more sure of my convictions than I actually am to push harder

Posted

he's faking the J in mafia. for reals, I seen the bravado develop. and if you look at the WoTs they're way more steam of consciousness and reactionary and reaction seeking than logical or judgmental. he's an artist not a scientist.
