Fact checking I can get behind. With this in mind would lynching wombat garner us any "facts?"

 

For instance his role has been stated and his alliance has been stated so would lynching him actually provide FACTS??

None that we don't already assume from what I can gather.  I think you're doing a better job of making my point here than I am since people get grumpy with me.  You could say the same of Rags but his ability (so far as we know) can directly help anyone that he wants to.  I don't see the point of keeping someone around who we know can provide an anti-town comeback nor can I think of any ability potentially worse for us short of killing half the town, bringing back dead villains and making them invincible, etc.  

 

 

We dont' have any "facts" on Wombat or Rags, just the supposed roles/characters which we know could have been screwed with.  The only way to actually confirm is with a flip.

 

That said, I am confirmed town and can confirm that I received a +EV gift from Rags. 

 

Why is it that you don't see a potential ability as worse for us that what Rags has?  I would think Tommy's bus driving could be far more -EV for town than Rags gifting.

I don't really see Ragnarok pulling a non-townie move at this juncture. Just my gut of course which is of little value.

 

I would like to see/hear from some of the less vocal. With three scum dead they will be looking to lurk in hopes of town mislynching.

 

What is this? Scum hunt without relying on cryptic info that solves the game for us? heresy!

 

Sorry. Had to. But yes, good point. Not to devoid the fun of lynching both WWWwombat and Rags, but lets look at the remaining player roster for whos voice are missing now:

MY COP RESULTS SO FAR, WHAT I BELIEVE AND WHAT MIGHT BE OFF

 

N1: View Rand

 

I viewed Rand. I got a PM saying:

 

You get a report saying Rand is Hero

 

N2: View Tommy

 

I viewed Tommy, because Tinfoil. I got a PM saying:

 

Your report says "Hero".

 

Note: No name.

 

Note 2: TG and Tommy switched places N2.

 

N3: View NotBob

 

Your report says "Hero".

 

Same as N2 when Tommy was switched.

 

CONCLUSION:

 

I'm pretty sure Rand is town, or at least he was town N1. Off chance he might be a GF.

 

TG is confirmed town.

 

Neither Tommy nor NotBob is cleared by my copping.

How is TG confirmed but not NotBob?

We have been assuming a recruiting mechanic since we found out about the venom symbiote and rags is anti-town that has the ability to bring that recruit ability back so if I can't bounce things off of me and rags lives I, or any other confirmed town, could be recruited, introducing perpetual WIFOM back into the game if it doesn't anyways.  That is my argument.  I see him as vastly more dangerous than almost anything else I can think of so it seems smarter to remove him first.

That is my argument. I see him as vastly more dangerous than almost anything else I can think of so it seems smarter to remove him first.

That makes perfect sense, why not open with that? Tg and I were talking about that last night. We came up with two ideas. The first being that we believe if rags did steal from dawn he would get the -1 vote spit and not the recruit. The second being that I would block him just to be sure either way. Nol even mentioned jailing him as an option.

I'm not such a fan of "I believe this will happen so let's play to it" type of decision making but Nol/you blocking him would suit me well enough.

What do you mean mafia has a higher probability because of sheer numbers? They would have fewer numbers, especially now.

 

Mafia work together and they can talk to each other without town knowing.  Therefore if one of them found a hint, they would share it with everyone.  Town on the other hand, besides Tommy and NotBob, would not share the information out on thread for fear of "giving info to mafia" and looking scummy.  Therefore, if you soft claim, mafia probably already suspects you for sure, so to make sure that all town know what you are if the mafia already do, hard claim please.

Already mentioned above, but Rags specifically mentioned that the 1-shot is a variant of the other person's role, not their special ability necessarily.  I find it highly doubtful that Mynd would transfer whatever portion of the role that he pleased, as that would take out an element of consistency in the role and give Mynd the ability to change the balance of the game, mid-game.

 

And as Arsis mentioned, even if you're scared, we can RB Rags to make sure he gives no gifts.  I would advise against that though, because I believe to maintain Rag's townieness, he has no option whether town or mafia, to give to anyone but a "confirmed" townie.  We could use a gift like that.

Dawn/Nyn's spit ability

Hally's stalker ability

 

Also can someone remind me about Hoof's/X's/AJ's normal roles?

I think that is assuming alot to tinfoil about Rags being able to recruit. 

 

-It's assuming Rags tells the truth about his powers

-Then he picks Dawn, which had a venom ability, with a one shot "choose a mentor, he is recruited to your third party alignment" at the start of the game

-Then Mynd decides to give a scum the ability to "choose a mentor, to be recruited to your third party alignment" which doesn't add up since - well - Rags in all likelyhood isn't third party

-The added bonus of the "Venom Symbiote" that when the recruiter dies, so does the recruitee. 

 

It would break the role, and possibly the team. I strongly doubt Mynd would allow that to happen. 

 

It's also interesting that it seems everyone assumes Rags posted his true PM but switched his alignment. His "steal a power from a dead player" ability doesn't make sense for scum in most cases. So either he is town - has been recruited - or made a completely fake PM.
