I'd be fine with that actually, I play on EpicMafia a lot, which has an automated mod and around the same length days, and shorter nights.

 

 

You should try that Yakuza vs Templar setup.  Maaaaaan....it really separates the trolls from the skilled players.

Well, I see what he was trying to say regarding the DrunkTank thing, even if he was off by it.  I tend to read TG as scummy a lot, but maybe because he plays more like me, lighthearted and fluffeh!

FTR, the "newcomer's pass" is a <u>thing</u> though I dislike the concept. Too easily abused by scumsters to:

• give a pass on a teammate
• give a pass on a townie (instead of having to explain why)
• to dismiss the newguy's opinions/stances
• get a pass themselves

@Tommy - I also note how serious you are about letting everyone know not only that you're town, but what an absolute asset you are.  I don't disagree when you're town, but you're not this game and your nervousness is showing.

At the risk of opening another Pandora's Darthe, may I ask what I have done to deserve such praise?

 

It's interesting, from an outside-the-game perspective, how polarizing I am so far. I'm not used to it on DM, usually everyone just clears me and we move on. Makes me think I'm on the right track with something.

 

There's an emerging adage on POG that I think has some merit: "the most correct villager tends to get lynched D1."

 

 

Could be I'm seen as a good push because there are players here that are unfamiliar with me. Most of the players I have multiple games of experience with are clearing me.

Rand, Hallia, Lenlo: are the quoted posts more likely to come from a villager or a wolf mindset, IYO?

 

Dislike this post a lot.  Two reasons.  

1) polling a group of people to push someone into buying your alignment is mega salesman-like.  People who have something to sell in this game have a reason for not stating things outright which is rarely good.

2) Why those three?  Segregating a group gives Tommy an unnatural advantage here of choosing what opinions he wants vocalized.  

This was a rough post to see from someone I've had such a quick and sure read on thus far.  Tommy, can you explain any town reason for doing the above?  Or... your reason(s)?

 

POG is "puzzles and other games." It's the mafia/werewolf sub forum of that poker forum called twoplustwo.

 

I found out about it when they hosted those champions games there. That's how I got here, too. Met Darthe.

TG is scummy based on what Mynd's case said, and his reaction to Mynd's case which appeared a little forced, and delayed any reasonable response to his case.

 

Vos was scummy for voting based off a single joke post, but later he has proved to be more open minded and involved in multiple aspects of the game, giving me a slight town lean.

 

You, Barmi, I have a silght scum lean on for your, or rather BFG's insistence on following Darthe on a very simple matter, one that had many reasonable explanations.

 

Darthe I have a slight town read on for his reasonable yet sharp response to BFG's questions.

 

Mynd I have a town read on due to his return to his normal game play, well done case on TG that took effort, and his responses to other people's opinions on his case.

 

Nyn/Hallia I am waiting to get a read on because they have not been posting as much as usual due to RL stuff.

 

Drunk Tank I have a null to town lean on, his read has been getting fuzzier with more recent play however.

 

NotBob I have a slight town lean on due to his play matching his JN style of play.  Also his immediate switch to serious after jokey is like him, as well as the manner in which he cased Tommy.  The fact that I don't agree with his logic also makes me think he's town as well. :P  This is weaker due to it mainly being based on meta though.

 

Actually I have null on Clov, with everything else going on, I haven't been able to focus on him much.  I'll need to work more to get a read.

I agree that everything can be considered, but I've asked this once, and I'll ask it again.  If my posts weren't jokes, what were they?

 

Mynd's case was good if you cut out the crap about linking and where he referenced joke votes.  You basically had to filter his case to find the good stuff.
