So... since Dap got some heat all of a sudden, I'm doing a quick ISO to see what the fuss is about.

Goes against RTE, like everybody. Makes kinda big deal that he will soon be done with exams and be around alot after that. He did the "that'd be way against my meta and I'm not that sloppy am I.?"-comment that I picked up and found quite scummy. Says he does it to improve his game. Says "It helps hide me regardless of alignment or PR, so far it seems to work". Hinting at being either scum or PR. Goes against Tommy, then Des.

Says "Ok something has come up so I can't keep doing this right now
I'll try get the rest done in the morning but no promises
Only up to page 16"

And then he went AWOL.

I think it's worth noting, but a cryptic "something has come up" could mean serious RL stuff. Doesn't seem like scum lurking at all.

Utter waste of lynch, and strongly dislike pushing this way. If he actually is missing in action then Hoof should deal with it either by replacing him or modkilling him.

I myself am not completely sure why I'm doing this, except for two reasons:

1. I don't think Dap was silenced and his inactivity across the board has really perturbed me. He's not the best info lynch but his flip will give us some info

2. There HAS been a good bit of discussion and back and forth today, and it's still early in the game. While there seems to be a line drawn in the sand between two camps (Wombat, Red, Dawn, Hallia - me, Pray, Clov, Vos), there's also still time to figure out if there's some puppet master behind some of this, or if the scum are who we thought they were

This is crazy. I'm pretty lock-clear on you, but I don't get this at all.

You go after and vote someone that hasn't posted for ages, claiming you don't really know why except for two reasons

1. He is not the best lynch, but not the wooorst either.

2. People have been discussing in the thread. So even if we toss the lynch out of the window... at least people have talked on thread.

@ Vos - its not just Daps actions of the convenient MIA when Mynd posted his list and continued absence even tho his profile says he's been on DM since D started. this is ultra scummy because it shows he's lurking on purpose to stay out of the heat that Mynds dreamer claim will bring to him. (i mean we have 15 people, we could have had trains on all 3 people for equal pressure if you want the truth)

its also the info Pral just gave. this makes Dap the best candidate to solve the most WIFOM imo.

For instance, I think it's possible both Red, Dawn, and Hallia were white knighting Wombat, thinking he'd be the lynch and they could go "I told you so!" to town after the lynch.

Red did the same with Tommy on D1. She was SURE he was town.

because his responses and reactions were coming off as severely aggravated and antagonized town to the flack he was getting.

also to me lock!clear doesnt mean i know your town. it just means "i'm not willing to lynch these people at all cause i'm 99.9% sure they're town"

Honestly, I think we should lynch Wombat today. To a lesser extent Despo, but I am inclined to believe that he is town based on a "scumslip" by Pral. Dap could be scum, but I don't think his activity has been due to hiding. His lynch would give us very little information AND if he flips scum, it doesn't auto-clear Despo or Womby. I also think that Lenlo would not have pushed so hard on Dap if he was about to face unknown consequences with Hastur.

Wombat is the best lynch for today. Can we do this now?

No, I do not. In no way does that qualify as a scumslip. I was just using that post to comment on how silly it is tat Des considers me saying the same thing about another player is a scumslip.

Right now I am thinking that Des is either:

A townie who has gut feeling that I am scum. He has no good reasoning for it, so he decides to call a random post of mine a scumslip.

or scum, who thinks that because I'm new, it will be easy to frame me as being scum and get me voted off.

The only way I could tell 100% that he was town is if I had a specific role that could, like lie detector. Lie detector is a town role. However, I am not lie detector. I just feel so certain on my read that I stated it like a fact. (I'm not even sure if lie detector cvould work on Wombat since I have no idea if he said he was town anywhere).

I just feel so certain on my read that I stated it like a fact. (I'm not even sure if lie detector cvould work on Wombat since I have no idea if he said he was town anywhere).

LOVE that movie. Pacino was born for that role. Also some underrated nightmare fuel type scenes in it.

You're not dumb, and you'll still be a relative newbie in my eyes for a good bit longer, but the point is that your posts rarely make sense in any mafia game I've ever played with you. You've had your share of nonsensical posts in this one as well, but then out of nowhere you'll have posts that seem somewhat reasonable, like they came from someone who had a general idea of what they were talking about. When I then remember your other posts and general playing style, I get suspicious.

Could be you developing as a player, could be you being coached.

To respond to your original point however-

Pray soft claimed/hinted at something which apparently let him KNOW that I was town. If he was scum, it would be pretty stupid since even if I WAS mafia, we'd now be tied together, and why soft claim something to save a townie who likely wasn't getting lynched anyways? That soft claim would tie him down to some kind of investigative role or something later, limiting his options for thinking up a fake claim

Basically it would make no sense for him to do what he did as scum

You on the other hand, straight up said you wouldn't vote for Wombat because he was town. Instead of clarifying that you had this knowledge because of some role or ability, you backtracked and said you thought he was town instead.
