Tsuki going after Dawn so early is a bit unfair. I would agree with what he's saying typically but Dawn has been just fine activity-wise thus far this game. Sort of unwarranted... Going for low-hanging fruit or something?

But RTE is def the better lynch for today. His OP def wasn't good, and neither was his response to a couple of votes, but more importantly he can also potentially give us some more info on everyone else. For instance, if he flips town, then I think Vos will need to be looked at more closely. If he flips scum, then we can look closer at Wombat and Cory, who both kinda soft defended him.

 

And, not to be harsh, but as others have pointed out, RTE DOES usually look pretty wolfy as town. If he IS town this game, I'd rather remove the distraction then leave a good mislynch for scum to use later on.

Perhaps if she gets used to a little bit of early pressure (not even a case, just pressure (kinda like a joke vote, in my book)), she'll be less likely to bail, or to jump on this emotrain that I see is getting popular around DM... ugh. Sign up then threaten a quit before 36 hours are up - gross. But, whatever.

AtE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A VIABLE TACTIC

 

Emotions often run rampant in mafia games- this is just something that happens. Some are more sensitive than others, and frankly, it is easy to get emotional if you're telling the truth but everyone thinks you're lying. I mean holy freak, THIS GAME WAS CREATED BY PSYCHOLOGISTS WHO THOUGHT OF THIS EXACT SCENARIO. Playing paranoia against others, etc.

 

If you're scum in this game, your job is to lie. If that means lying about having an emotional reaction to something, IT IS NOT SOME EFFED UP TACTIC.

 

Do I think AtE is annoying? Hell yes. You know the main reason? It's effective. If done well, it's hard to tell if an emo reaction is genuine or faked. More than that, if you end up believing it, but find out it's faked- you feel like you've been betrayed, like someone used your own sympathy against you.

 

Again tho- THAT IS SCUM'S JOB.

 

So personally, while I find AtE JUST as annoying as the next person, I also think all the people that act all exasperated about it and act like it's some new thing that's lame and they shouldn't play anymore are just well, prob weren't cut out for mafia in the first place. If you can't deal with being emotionally manipulated, you SHOULDN'T BE PLAYING THIS GAME.

 

 

for me, someone using AtE or goign emo in a game makes me want to dig harder at them because it comes off as scum being caught and them having to hide something. so for me, AtE has the opposite reaction that the user is hoping to get.

 

Cory is just being beyond absurd at this point with his AtE that i'm not even going to reward him with attention; tbh Despo gave him enough attention which resulted in nothing more than a distracting 4 page read with nothing game related.

3. Your gameplay is completely different than it has been in the other games I've played with you. I think you were town in all those games.
