My husband and I saw Godzilla last night at the 3D I-MAX. And I have to say, it blew my socks off! I was a bit apprehensive going into it, because of my fear of dinosaurs. I didn't want it to be overly scary and give me nightmares. I'm so happy that this one wasn't scary at all! It was just fun and adventurous!

The plot really surprised me. I was thinking how much they could add to a story that's been repeated so many times. I haven't seen ALL the Godzilla movies, but I did watch the original Japanese version, and of course the one with Matthew Broderick, so I figured this one would be similar: introduction of Godzilla, the threat of Godzilla, the destruction of Godzilla. So, when the introduced the MUTOs and hinted that Godzilla was their enemy, I was so excited and happy! It was so interesting to see Godzilla as the hero!

The audience was fun, too. Clapping and cheering whenever Godzilla came on screen. It was a great movie-going experience.

I don't think I have a single negative comment to say about it--other than I was sad Bryan Cranston was killed off so soon.

I really want to see it again!

i havnt seen it yet but my yuongest brother is crazy godzila fan - i think he has alll the films ever made and so hes made me wattch quite a few of them (not lik he held gun tio my head or somthing but he begs and annoyys until yuo do it and i kind of do like watchin them anyways so dosnt take much), so odds are going see this one tooo. from whatt i noticd, besides the first japanese film and taht horible crappy mathew broderik american abomination, godzilla is always fightin a monster enemy. considering how many films there thats maybe 98% of th films lol. iv always thouuhgt they were al prety silly except for the first one which was makin a prety poignant statment about nature, and thatts mainly why i have enjoyd watchin them, pretty silly and somtimes bit awesome, just fun films usualy. anguiras, rodan, kingg gidorah, mecha godzila, space godzila, king kong, ogra, jet jagur, mothra, destroyah, gigan, megalon, thatts only som of the monstters ive seen so sounnd like this film is in th tradition of godzila-monster beat-em-up.

The only two films I saw were humans vs Godzilla, so I was really happy to see him vs another monster. Maybe it won't be that surprising for other viewers, but it was so unexpected for me.
