That's really cool.  I'm still trying to define my goals.  I want to work with people and I really like psychology but I also have more scientifically and medically based focuses so I am thinking about med school and then maybe subfocuses in neurology.  I've already got a study I am working on that looks at how growth hormones on affect myleniaton and the effect this has on immature functions.

Seriously considering scrapping my plan and just hipfiring Len tonight for being a jerk.

D: What I do to deserve this?

AJ's opening move was null for me, but I'm liking his play through the rest of the thread.

Lenlo really stuck out to me for "forgetting" how intensely Amega defended him ~20 pages back. Idk how you forget something so blatant, especially since it continued for so long.

Cause I dont think it was as blatant as you think. There are also plenty of others who defended me, so whats your problem with me forgetting his?

Like the sorts of things that we grow out of due to maturity that are biologically driven.  A lot of psychology marks stages of growth where myleniation clears pathways that inhibit these mature functions.  Social grace is a good example.

I mentioned neuronal mis-directional firing to create hallucinations as it is very prevalent in younger growing minds (hence vivid imaginations) but typically is under control in adults.  Of course, if you want to experience hallucinations that you swear are real you can control this effect by wearing a magnetic field inducing helmet.

Interesting that you mention social grace, I would have thought of that as more of a learned behavior than having to deal with brain physiology.

I had only heard about the helmet from a friend.  I'm looking it up now and it appears as though the research, done by Michael Persinger, was unable to be replicated.  Sigh, there goes another fantasy of mine...but I'll keep digging and see if I can find anything else out.

From what Darthe linked to it seems he is working on understanding the actual biological mechanisms associated with that development and then correlating/looking for causitive effect in psychological phenomena

I thought maturity mainly had to do with development of the pre-frontal cortex.

Kind of what is said below.  With that in mind I am currently in the process of building research on one particular aspect of mental development.  I would like to claim to be an expert on neurology but it isn't the case.  I'm learning in a utilitarian manner because I had an idea based on limited understanding of a subject and so far it is actually holding up which has proven to be cool.  This started in a manner that was purely academic.

I don't think I need to post another VC.

You and Wombat are tied.  I went from dead freakin' last to upper half.  Giggity.

That was my way of saying post a VC for free points.

I think I have my goal number of points for the day and I can continue to get them so it seems okay to me to give points to someone who looks good. Besides, I don't know if they'll count since we don't need a VC now.

Okay then.

You heard of neurofeedback?

So, not meaning to interrupt or anything, but did you guys actually talk about anything game-related the past 4 pages? Do I need to even bother reading through all that?

I also have - what I think - is a pretty decent plan in place

Looking forward to seeing what comes of it.

PM it to me. I wanna know.
