Anything that is done to try to clear yourself without scum-hunting is null at best. Null ≠ obvtown, thus contradiction. 

 

It could be argued that by clearing myself I am helping others to scumhunt, yes?

 

But we don't know your motives, and there is no evidence to a character claim so it's not really clearing yourself as town - is it?

 

To be clear, I'm more suspicious of the people so eager to clear you - than you. As I said, your claim is null for me. 

 

I think the motive should be fairly clear - but you're free to think your own way.

 

I agree that my character in no way should clear me, that isn't the point though - how are you missing that?

I also am suspicious of people who say things to try to look pro-town, but I usually weigh it against the possible intent of the post a bit more.  I see your actions here as things that you believe to be pro-town, which is why I think they're largely null because that gives you incentive to do it as both alignments.

Would you prefer "ambivalent?"  Because Len's stance on claims has not remained constant and makes no sense to me.  He started off saying that there are going to be a lot of supporting characters, then agreed that supporting characters would be more likely scum claims and that actual character claims are null, then tried to push Mish for hinting at a main character, then acted like Amegakure claiming a supporting character was significant.  So which is it?  Are character claims significant or aren't they?
