I believe that NyanCat's vote on Mistress was before mine and therefore was more likely a "joke vote" as it is said, although we all know there is always some strategy in the first votes of the game.

Err, no on both account. Your vote on Mish was the first vote. And when I voted for Mish I was very clear that it wasn't a joke vote.

Attention!  I need these players to post more.  Having to kill this many people or replace them would hurt the game.  Please attempt to post more often.

Hey Verb, go yell at your other half.

Why did Lenlo choose to only say this about Verb when there were plenty other halves of hydras on Darthe's list?

Because its fun to poke fun at Verb?

I'm glad you think a lot of Mafia were on those three trains - I think so too, but mostly because 16 of 18 living players were on those three trains.

I would say there's probably at least three.

You are missing my point.  You speak of trying to scumhunt and yet you are ignoring the fundamentals of scumhunting.  Isolate a group and begin to pick a part that group.  Your jokes about my point on the hydras is ignoring this very key part of finding scum.  Its deliberate and, to me, seems more like an attempt to discredit rather than to find any truth in it.

Truth and logic are constant no matter who speaks it.  Go ahead and label me whatever you like.  Look at the hydras who voted Red, Mishtress, and myself.  Then, look at which of them voted when.

As I've already said, I'm not "rustled" about being today's lynch. In my experience when I've been run up D1 you spend too much time thereafter unproductively trying to recover. I think it's a bit rude to lynch the bride on her own wedding day, but as we're vanilla town it's no great loss, and all kinds of good info for tomorrow.

are you getting married or are you claiming to be roslin frey?

@mynd i believe the claim. period. If we use your theory about relating it to the story this should seal the deal. directy from ASOI&F wikia "many of Robb's personal guard are killed by Freys, including Smalljon Umber,''

Mistress (9/10): NyanCat, Red, X, Jack, Desbat, Mistress, Nol, Zanube, Dawn
Red (7/10): Dawn, Tommy, Yates, Verbalina, Krak, Len, Megaloud
Mynd (2/10): CrayJay, Halleeloujah

If we buy Red's claim, and based on Amega's post, I'm now inclined to believe it, let's assume (not be certain, just assume) that Red is also town.  Looking at the hyrdas that voted on these three trains, which were on players who were supposedly sooooo scum it hurt, the three that stick out to me are Desbat, Verbalina, and Halleeloujah.

Verbalina jumped between Mistress and Red with very little conviction.  It has been Verb's style to sit back and not make many waves even when he was town, but he has never been this half-commital to vote flipping.

Got it Nyn about your vote on Mishtress.  Still, I don't believe you two be scum.

Mynd, the entire players list besides you and dice are on those two wagons.

HYDRAS ARE = RAND TO BE TOWN JUST LIKE ANY OTHER PLAYER

Again, don't react post before you think about what I am saying.

Of course most of the players are on those trains (not all of them), but I'm not just looking at every player.  Look at the hydras that voted and when they voted and when some of them switched off Mistress to either Red or myself.

Please, just for a moment, consider my theory before dismissing it.   Sure, Hydras have as much of a chance to be scum as anyone else; however, the odds that at least two of the seven are scum are more likely than not.  It is not certain, but it is more likely.  One of those seven flipped town.  We have no coroner on DesBat so we cannot rule them out as possible scum.   That leaves a liklihood (not certainty) that at least two of the six UN-coronered hydras are scum.

Take those six and track their voting.  When they voted and why.  Why did they flip?  Among those six, the three that I consider likely scum are Desbat (RIP), Verbalina, and Hallilialujah.

Its one thing to disagree with me.  Fine.  But you are trying to imply ignorance where there is a sound argument.  For what purpose?

Posted

Scumhunting is not about "ISOLATING A RANDOM GROUP OF PLAYERS"

That's just NARROWING YOUR SCOPE REASONLESSLY

How so? You're just trying to get people to dismiss my idea.  Disagree with it, fine.  But its almost like you are purposely trying to push people to ignore it.

Pointing fingers at me and calling me a fool for something that is sound isn't very town at all.

should be caught up after today.

on page 30, seem to recall people claiming around lynch time that Red's defense gets better but I'm not seeing it yet.

Also this while I'm on the topic:

Who are you going to vote for?

currently i'm voting for you.  it interesting seeing how AJ came to your defense and others latchign onto his assumption that my vote was a joke.  its also fun watchign you squirm with a single vote on you.

i may just leave it for shits and grins

Not trying to tunnel buuuuuuuuuut you heavily imply that your vote on Tom is suprsrs but then why would you add that last part?  If it's a solid scum read and vote then it makes no sense for you to a) vote elsewhere, and b) undercut your suprsrs vote for shits and grins.

I know everybody might be way past this but it stuck out to me.

Yes, people SHOULD dismiss your idea. You are saying "let's look @ this random selection of players and only them".

I'm dismissing your idea because it's a BAD idea. We should look at EVERY PLAYER. Any idiot can pick out a handful of players and say "let's look at these guys only".

What you are saying has NO BASIS IN REALITY.

If you want me to get off hydras for a bit, fine.  I can table that....

How about the selection of the night kill....or apparently, kills.

Why Nolder?  Interesting that Wombat posted Nolder as #1 probably scum and #2 was me.   Was this the mafia NK or was it a VIG kill?

Why Desbat for the other kill?  Why no coroner?  5 mafia and no tricks says Darthe.  Was this a VIG kill or perhaps a reaction to killing Nolder?

Posted

I suspect Nolder was a vig kill.

Not sure what the intention is behind the no-coroner of DesBat but I thought they were extremely likely to be town. Probably a PAFO thing.

Leelou, when did you change your mind on Mish's opening? Just curious

Around the time that Tress came in and claimed. Both Tress and Mish's posts were sounding more townie and I got a town lean from them.

Des - that is a very outdated reads list. I'll get a new one this afternoon, but I'm off to the doctor's right now so it'll have to wait until after that.

Forgot to respond to this - fair enough, I get around 55 last night and yeah makes sense.

Excited for another GOAT reads list

There is no sound argument. You are taking seven randomly-assigned player slots and only analyzing them.

Why do they have games like craps in Vegas?  Sure the probability of any given six sided die roll is 1/6, so why is it more common to roll 7's than any other combo when rolling two dice? Its because of probability.  Sure, Darthe may have assigned all sweet and proper townie roles to all seven of the hydras, but if it was truly random, the odds of this occurring are much less likely than the odds of at least some of them being scum.

We could flip it around and say out of all the non-hydras, but I figured 7 was an easier number to go with than 12.  Besides, whether you want to believe it or not, hydras give the scum team an extra advantage in the thread.  An extra voice to spin their agenda, or in some cases, dismiss theories about hydras.

As it stands, I believe that DesBat was scum.  They listed Nolder as top scum with me close behind, figuring on an easy speed lynch on D2.  They either got blasted by a paranoid gun owner type role or were VIG killed.

Think Cory is right about the Nol shot. I'm surprised Nolder was a VT, I figured he was polarized to scum or cop.

DesBat no coroner implies a janitor. That means future claimfest becomes even more muddied.

Really, that's an odd take.  Nolder's death gets a full on description.  Desbat's does not.  This is written from the Frey's POV and Nolder's character "sticking his nose into things" suggests mafia kill to me.

I am really not trying to be antagonistic in saying this so please understand that I mean this with the most sincerest respect but...

.....why are you so dismissive about the reason DesBat's kill was non-coronered?  I think that is SUPER-ULTRA-FANTABULISTIC important!  Why dismiss it as PAFO?  This whole GAME is PAFO!  Why no speculation?

Posted

I disagree entirely, on DesBat and my thoughts on hydras. The first is pointless to debate without more information and the second doesn't belong to be debated in this game. If you decide you are only going to analyze ~7 players because LOL, let's do that... Okay. have fun.

##Vote Krak feels right

Mynd, it's really as simple as I thought Nolder was scummier (more like to be vig killed) and DesBat was townier (more likely to be the night hit).

I'm not all that familiar with the "flavor", but if you think it's worth looking at the scene, I'll give it a look.

How does anyone not read "sticking his nose where it didn't belong" as the mafia NK?
