And the problem is exactly that you didn't say you thought I was mafia. You just nudged the thought out to plant the idea in others that I could be mafia.

 

Mish acting like confirmed town here doesn't jive with her earlier posts concerning her role imo.

 

 

 

There is no way Cloud is mafia. He's been way too calm and level-headed, he hasn't tried to fight his lynch in the slightest. That is not mafia Cloud, especially not D1.

Ice, I'm going to say this once and I would really love for you to read everything I have to say and understand it as I'm saying this for you not anyone else.

 

 

While the amount of posts a player has can indicate alignment, you are taking that strategy to the extreme and I think it is _clouding your understanding of the game.  Some players post more and some players post less.  It is usually what is in these posts that tell us whether a player is town or mafia.  So your job as a player is to look at post content and its context against the larger game.  If someone says one thing and does something else that's a basic way to tell if someone is acting more like mafia than town.  Your constant flip-flopping on who you think is scum does not look good because it basically looks like you don't care who you vote for and town should care.

 

Every player tries their best to play without taking anything personally.  So a player "being mean" has no bearing on whether s/he is mafia or not.  It is going to take you a couple of games to understand when and why a player is "scummy" or "townie," so watch, learn, and ask questions if you don't understand.  The quickest way to make everybody dislike you is to make no attempt to get better and to just spam the everloving shite out of the mafia game.

My vote is on AJ for his shenigans before DL.

Actually, yes. And for the record, if you're going to try and take shots at me for something like this at least make sure that you have more than 1/3 the amount of posts I do :smile: Please don't act like I'm not contributing when I can.

 

So what exactly about it makes you think I am scum?

Looking back on Dice, he does look little better. I still find some of his statements sort of strange but I think that's mostly due to phrasing. That said, I think mafia!Dice has outed himself by now :tongue:

 

Looking at Jack's ISO I'm thinking he actually town-spewed a few different players. His nudges on Cloud and Mish before the DL look pretty telling IMO. One post in particular of his stood out to me where he defends Ice in a very roundabout fashion after Ice went on his Cloud rampage and Cloud mentions that it'll get him lynched.

 

 

 

@cloud This is the one time Despo hasn't been after me so I'm kind of enjoying it. He makes valid points and I agree with some of them. More then I disagree with.

 

1. Ameg is mafia in my oppinion.

 

2. What do you think of him telling me I should know he's town.

 

3. Yes there were other scum reads but as the info was lacking I'm not sure how I could of expounded any further on AJ's cases or logic

 

4. Ice will get the hang of the game or he won't. If he's town mafia will keep him around as a distraction for end game. If he's mafia I doubt mafia NKing him. He's obviously a new player so most will just ignore him for now. So I don't see him getting lynched soon. I find it interesting you start to subtly push the lynch in that direction. As it gives absolutely no info.

 

Quote box got screwed up, but whatever. You can see here after Cloud starts talking about IceKnight getting lynched after his spamfest that Jack comes in to WIFOM and basically tell us to leave the newbie alone. The last line that I colored stands out the most to me.

I have _Cloud as a solid null at this point.  So I don't think he is scum.  I also don't think he is town. 

 

If I were to read Mish's posts without her Miller claim in mind then I would have said that she is town. She is however very good at fooling me so that's why I have decided to only focus on her claim and the extreme unlikeliness of it.

 

I agree, which gives me a bit of pause on my vote on her.  I do hate being wrong.  Logically it makes sense given the conflict of roles, but her posts have been pretty town-ish.  Ugh.

 

I still think AJ and Cloud are the remaining scum. They poisoned TG because he is an amazing mafia player

Dice, you're pre-supposing that AJ, as mafia, would want to let things to random rather than secure a lynch.  Moreover, we know that two of the 3 trains were town players.  If AJ were scum, he could have easily switched his vote to, say, Amega, and gotten mad town cred for securing a lynch, even if it was on a townie.  Moreover, you're claiming AJ knew that random was especially bad in a Darthe game.  I don't see why this would make him, as mafia, want the horrible consequences.

 

FOS on Dice.

 

Also, not to beat a dead horse, but where the hell was Des at DL and why didn't Des or 'mega claim?  I'm putting this question here to remind myself to ask after the game is done.  Given their roles they could have just double doc'd someone and we could have lynched Cloud and moved on with a much bigger town advantage.

That was one of the things I looked at on my read through.  I mentioned it to Jack at the time and he claimed it was a joke, but I should have pushed his "mafia NKing him" thing harder since he slipped and outed himself as scum there.  Let me process for a bit about whether this spewed ice as scum also.

The comment of "If he's mafia I doubt mafia NKing him" makes no sense for a townie to say, IMO.  Why on earth would a townie posit about mafia killing themselves?  It also looks like TMI to me.

I read it as a sarcastic joke. Have you ever seen mafia kill one of their own members for town cred? Calling it TMI is pushing it imo. The summiest thing from that post was the "no information" bit when he was talking about Ice because at first glance it looked like he town spewed him but after reading through it again I don't see anything wrong with it in the context of Ice's gameplay.

No, mafia could never kill their own for town cred because town would never know who did the killing in the first place.  And I called it TMI about the thought process Jack was showing.

 

If it was a joke I completely missed the humor.

Reads from D2 actions so far:

 

Mish - Claim of miller doesn't jive with my tracker role.  darthe is bastardy, there is a limited shot cop, or mish is lying.  only response was an emotional one, which may be real or gameplay.

Dice - Jumping on AJ about comments on no lynch seems lazy and doesn't make logical sense.  scummy

 

Ice - Lots of spam, soft defended by Jack, joked about how he was mafia and that is why he is talking a lot

Cloud - Cloud looks either scummy or paranoid townie.  also seems a bit too agreeable.  did snipe some on jack and has been trying to show thought process.  solid null

Player - hasn't made comments to make me feel much either way.  either new player who just doesn't quite know what to say or possibly a bit of scum lurk going on

 

AJ - JTAG!  AJ's play has been most consistently townie so far, IMO

Krak -  Been reasonable overall, went nowhere last night when scum had a nk + poison

Those are just some D2 reactions of mine so far based on what people have said.  Doesn't take full game into account.  I'm more just trying to get my thoughts out there

I'm supposed to be going to the movies but that will be postponed to later or to tomorrow due to stomach upset. Right now I'm reading through posts and developing a case. 

 

Did we ever see this?
