TG I think AJ is scum. Simple. I think his shenigans were to avoid lynching a teammate. I think Amega looked like the one most likely to be lynched. So i guess my theory would mean amega is scum too.

 

At the very least it was unhelpful play if he is town.

Saturday, 8:31 PM.  Journal of Hideo Rizewa, Monster Island.

 

We are two now.  All is at an end.  It has been nine days since our arrival... I think.  We should have known to turn back when we saw that Godzilla could not handle this wretched place.  Should I never return I want you to know our journey through these lands.  I want you to know how death has stalked us.

 

Saturday, one week ago.

 

Our expedition began splendidly by all rights.  We were certainly frightened by the nature of our business and the death of Godzilla, or at least I was as you couldn't tell with the others, but we trekked onward in the security of our ignorance and their experience.  Not moments after arriving on the beaches of the island we had made our first discovery.  The entire island was done up in the fashion of the dinosaurs which is to say that even the smallest of the trees was larger than the redwoods back home.  The bugs too, were much larger.  I saw a dragonfly with a wingspan the size of my chest!  

 

We traveled inland for most of the evening without much to remark on beyond those initial surprises.  Well, perhaps I should restate.  We did not face any unnatural occurrences of the living kind beyond that.  The island was nonetheless eerie.  Broken trees that lay on their sides showed sign of wear and tear beyond natural scope and were too large for us to pass over.  Undergrowth was essentially nonexistent save for some rather large mosses that hid the earth below.  Worst of all was the quiet.  No birds sang in the trees, no bugs shot by overhead and the only consistent sound was the rumble of titans clashing far on the other size of the mountainous center that was to be our base.  

 

Upon arrival at the bottom of the mountain we set up camp for the night.  The men had all stopped together, two quickly setting up a perimeter and tent while another prepared a small fire and began to heat a can of sausages.  We ate in silence and then retired to our sleep.  

 

It was nearly sunrise when I heard it.  A noise like a pen sliding over paper cut into my sleeplike daze (as I couldn't properly sleep in this unfamiliar place) and caused me to shoot up in my sleeping bag.  I whipped my head around to the others and saw one of them staring at me with a finger over his lips.  The other two had weapons on their lap aimed toward the open face of our tent.  I couldn't see anything out in the darkness but the noise had stopped.  My heart was racing.  We sat in that silence for a minute and then another.  The noise began again.  I felt a cold run up my back so deep that it hurt.  Slowly I began to see the outline of something sinister, a rounded shape that I could only make by its ripply sheen as it was reflected in the moonlight.  God, was it a snake?  The thing must have been a hundred feet long!  The others, usually so reserved, looked as terrified as I felt.  We were going to die.  

 

Things did not happen that way.  The creature was gone moments later, seemingly unaware that we were ever there on its travels West.  We stayed quiet for moments longer and then one man quietly slid out of the tent.  A moment later I had another scare as he patted on the back of it, two taps, and they began to pack.  We were moving in under five minutes. 

 

It took nearly seven hours of hard climbing to find an outcrop that was high enough to offer a good vantage point and remote enough to feel somewhat more at ease.  When we settled I did a quick climb to get the view of the island I wanted and pulled out my camera, looking East for anything unusual.  I saw what I had feared drove the snake away.  The beasts had slowly fought their way East and part of the forest burned far in the distance.  It was a wonder we hadn't smelled it before, I could faintly discern the stink of smoking leaf from here.  Worse still, a monster lay partially blown away.  From the distinct shell I could tell which it was.  I had to get back and warn the others.  

 

Ice, Gamera, VT has been lynched.

 

 

It is now night.  You have 24 hours.

I'm sorry for not being around. I've been in a more or less foul mood since saturday night and I'm struggling not to let it bleed into DM. I have too many things on my mind.

 

 

And I don't remember if I said it here. But I'm going away on friday and will be away until tuesday. So if game is still going and I'm alive I will be on very little those days.

If I read it correctly he's not ignorant of Amega's flip he was just following his logic to its conclusion.

 

 

 

Dice, my question for you, pretty much framed in that last sentence, is does this change your view on AJ, or are you still convinced he's the best lynch?

 

 

 

Because I definitely did not get a clear answer/understanding from your above post and I'm not letting this go because you've been talking about it since D1.

@ Krak  i wanna go back and grab quotes but im at work so that weill be hard atm. Basically as i recall he was one of those who REFUSED to vote certain people which i find untown. Then he was interacting with mish about consolidating, seemed l;ike he was going to but then didnt.

 

 

Like i said i will have to find the quotes to really explain. will do that tonight.

I don't think there's a penalty if we don't achieve majority, at least the rules don't say so. Just that activity will determine the next phase's length. D2 will probably be short.

All of you guys are sitting here pointing a finger at me like I'm the reason it went random. Any of you could've changed your votes at anytime. A majority could've been reached with or without my vote so placing all the fault on me is ridiculous. 7/12 had to vote for majority, my vote alone didn't decide the random. Look at what happened: Jack was voting Amega - Amega was town and Jack was scum. Big friggin' surprise. I stated my opinion on the subject and genuinely didn't expect it to go violently random because nothing stated so specifically.

 

 

 

It's really not that uncommon. I think the Hydra game was set up like that, it just never happened in game.

 

Why does a town player only have to breadcrumb under pressure? The intent to clear themselves is the same.

 

It's uncommon to me, yes. As I said in all my games I remember very few where not reaching a majority was acceptable. I have always seen warnings and random mod killings as punishment. Not reaching a majority is bad. Always.

 

Breadcrumbing is not a town move in and of itself IMO. If scum figure it out before town then they now have more info than us. If you want to clear yourself claim, don't breadcrumb. And I've never seen someone breadcrumb vanilla town. So intent is not necessarily the same.

 

Like I've said several times now, nothing stated as much. I assumed wrongly.

 

Difference of opinion on the subject, I guess. Mafia starts with more information from the beginning, regardless. They already know who the townies are, but the townies don't, so I think it's important to try and prove/clear yourself so that cooperation is possible.

 

The colored    AJ having a spak that people are pointing the finger at him and pointing out that other people could have changed their vote.

 

However both Mish and Jack were around and willing to change their votes which could have achieved a lynch. Granted Jack was mafia but he may still have done it, particularly if it was a townie getting lynched

In a way, Amega was my teammate and I was trying to prevent his lynch. The two biggest wagons besides Despo were Cloud and Amega, both of which I had town reads on and didn't want to lynch. You keep saying it was unhelpful but my intent was to lynch people who I thought were scum, not townies.

What about it do you find 'untown'? Just because I am vocal that I don't want to waste my lynch ability on people I consider town doesn't mean that I was intentionally trying to prevent anything. I took my stance and said that I wanted to lynch Despo over the others. I had my vote placed where I thought it best. My one vote out of the 11 other players isn't what made us go random all by itself. I was under the genuine impression that we wouldn't have a random lynch without majority.

Just like I told Mish after the ^ above quote, I was rallying to get the person I felt would by the best lynch - lynched. Others were around and could've swapped to Despo if they wanted to, so I don't get how people continue to try and place solitary blame on me for the random lynches. I think mostly it is because I was the only one actually saying that I would prefer to NL then lynch town-reads, one of which I was correct about. My thoughts were the same as the Mish quote that I have colored with blue.

So you're comparing my action to that of a confirmed mafia member in order to justify your scum read on me, although we basically did opposite actions? Of course Jack was interested in securing a lynch, Mafia need to kill as many townies as possible so the lynch is just as important to them as town. I, however, very publically voice my dislike of the current wagons, and in order to prevent what I considered to be bad lynches, took a hard stance to let the Day pass with a NL. At the time, my thought process was that we would progress into Night without penalty. If anything, I think Jack's persistence on either of the lead wagons (Cloud and Amega) should kind of clear those players. Obviously Amega already flipped, but it should lend some towncred towards Cloud.
