Brutus was feeling good. He'd taken down both Mags and Johanna last night, and knew it would be a huge blow to the little teams morale. He was whistling softly to himself as he trudged back through the jungle, heading towards where Cashmere was hiding. It bothered him that the others had taken the beach, it was annoying to not be able to set up a proper camp, they had to move all the time because of the changing active sectors. But, better to be on the move than being eaten by alligators, after all. The Capitol had promised that if his team managed to take down the pesky little rebel group, they'd stop the games and they'd all be free to move on with their lives. Not that he minded being back in the arena; he liked the killing.

 

An arrow came out of nowhere and lodged itself to a tree right on front of his face. The feathers brushed his face as it quivered from the impact. "Thought we wouldn't find you, did you?" Katniss sneered at him, walking out from behind a bush with an arrow aimed at his heart. "You make more noise walking around than Peeta did" Her mouth twitched a little as she said his name. Finnick followed her. "Tell us where Cashmere is, and we'll let you die quickly", he smirked, stroking the hilt of his trident. Brutus growled, and reached for his knife. But before his hand was halfway to it, he had an arrow in his heart, and he slumped to the ground.

 

Finnick kicked him in frustration. "He might have talked. That was uneccesary. I would have taken him. " Katniss stared back at him, her face distorted with grief and anger. "We'll find her on our own. Come on. It's getting dark."

 

 

Dap, Brutus, Ninja, has been lynched.

Not to be confused with getting ninja'ed.

A Ninja is a role or role modifier such that the Ninja will never be seen as targeting anyone by a Tracker, Watcher, or other investigative role along these lines. It has been likened to the Tracker/Watcher equivalent to Godfather.

 

Although nothing technically prevents Ninjas from being town-aligned, and the modifier could even be useful for a Cop or similar role to prevent the Mafia discovering that they were investigated, the modifier is generally only seen in the hands of anti-town players, for whom it is a lot more powerful.

 

Use and Power

 

There will almost never be any ill effects to sending a Ninja to perform the Mafia's kill, so as long as the Ninja is alive, Trackers and Watchers will simply never see the Mafia kill. This tremendously decreases the effectiveness of both roles, as they can no longer directly catch scum.

 

The existence of a Ninja generally implies the existence of a Tracker or Watcher. Arguably, in the current meta the existence of a Watcher implies the existence of a Ninja.

List of suspects:

 

8. Monk - Nothing first half of the game. Buddying Len (confirmed town), goes AWOL, then comes back with the cryptic "monk time" after Peeta dies. Claims he will now solve the game by gut feel, then votes X. Refuses to claim as to not "paint a target on his back". Then claims "monk time is over" when X flipped town. Then dap fishes for his role and names him top scum-suspect. 

11. Krak - "This appears just after dice was calling out Csarmi, Krak is defending dice" (linked for context) - very weak attempt at linking of Krak and (by then flipped scum) dice. Also prodded by verb, and pral was early on his train. Seems to be softly fishing for Tress' role. 
12. BFG - Liked what she found in her thorough re-read. Nudges Pral on "why dap?" on his reads (where he placed dap as scum). 
14. Hallia - Pral asked Len "So out of amega, hally! and krak, who do you think is the most scummy (add me and Nervo to the list if you want. We both I'd we would vote once he had made a comment first)" then immediately follows up with "In my wot, the four names that came up were Amega, Rhea, TG, Nervo" - trying to fish out what confirmed town thought of hallia then diverting? keeps a FoS at her but never near the top. I've had her as scum mostly based on her second-time misformating of her vote to make day pass without a lynch, but after X flipped town I don't think she'd willingly let a mislynch slip. Claims VT. But then agrees with dap that we should info-lynch X(!!!). Misses the simple math and hints that there are 4 mafias. Either very unfocused or trying to spread misinfo. Meta-defends herself and her quiet playstyle. "Town read on bfg, tg, Dap and nerve." 

 

 

This is the result of skimming through the thread, focusing mainly on confirmed scums interactions. I'll give a more coherent analysis and thoughts once day breaks.

Added: Dap already said it was "only like 3 "bad guys"" earlier game before Hally said hopefully they would win when lynching the third mafia. Could be random, but thought it was worth pointing out.

So I've had a look through Dap's posts and I think the key is in his voting Day 2. There was quite a lot of voting Day 2, so in order to make it palatable I've deleted everything except the vote each time, you can still link back to the quote by clicking on the arrow if you want. I've also excluded the voting due to the wedge, as amusing as it was there are already too many quotes. Actually I tell a lie, I'm leaving Daps in.
