Hey folks, I'm gonna be a little scarce for a couple days - got the stomach flu and am recovering - mostly in bed.

I need to catch up from my last post (a few pages, so mot much), so that'll be my priority once I'm back.

Get well soon

Game is not moving.

Dice was not the only one who had been fishing for sector effects. Lenlo was one of the first who had been trying really hard to understand what the effects are. This was  already pointed out by Csarmi. Here, is where he  started trying to get more info

So that means 3 people were probably caught in a sector. Sounds painful.

From the book heres a list of the known sectors and what they did.

From 12-1: Lightning hits a single tree over and over.

1-2: Blood rain.

2-3: Acid fog

3-4: Evil monkeys attack people

4-5: Jabberjays screw with peoples heads with screams.

6-7: Beasts attack people

10-11: Tidal Wave.

I know theres afew times missing but hey they werent mentioned in the book. One of those not mentioned, coincidentally, is 9-10 which is what just rung. Probably be difficult to find out who was affected seeing as how not everyone has checked in. I suggest everytime this happens, if they are allowed and it doesnt kill them, someone caught in it tells us. Least then we can try and figure it out.

And, here is where he started getting desperate

Looks like were going backwards sequentially. Next ring will probably by 6.

Im kinda annoyed no one who was caught in 9 has come forward yet though. Seriously where are people. Know its the weekend but still.

Also, not liking this response from him when Csarmi questioned him. The last time I heard something like this, that person was mafia. It is a bad AtE where Lenlo is badly trying to mask his meta

If you want me to chill and be useless I can do that. I tend to not be very helpful to town when I do that though.

He votes Dice just before Dice claims tracker. When Krak suspected a bandwagon vote, his response was that he wanted to consolidate close to deadline. Really? It was still 8 hours for the deadline. There were two trains running in parallel. He had already suspected Darthe but still he goes ahead and votes Dice to "consilidate"?

I jumped on to consolidate so yes it was def a bandwagon vote so we didn't go random.

Then when dice claims tracker, he comes back with a classic scum line about others "trying to consolidate" and pre-empting FoS on the votes that follows.

Now we have only to wait for the quiet people to pop in and pile onto someone before the deadline.

In short, Lenlo has been fishing and his response when confronted was weak. Similarly, his distancing vote on dice just before he claimed tracker and trying to spin it as a consolidation vote doesnt look good either.

Wow where to begin. That is such complete and utter crap.

Yes cause trying to figure out the game mechanics so we arnt taken by surprise is fishing. Providing people with as much information as possible about the game and theme is fishing. And not role fishing, something that is legitimately scummy, but sector fishing. Something that affects everyone. Something that can be good or bad. Yup. Totally scummy.

And, here is where he started getting desperate

Looks like were going backwards sequentially. Next ring will probably by 6.

Im kinda annoyed no one who was caught in 9 has come forward yet though. Seriously where are people. Know its the weekend but still.

Desperate? Dude im trying to figure the setup out cause its weird. We should be wanting to figure out what each node is.

Also, not liking this response from him when Csarmi questioned him. The last time I heard something like this, that person was mafia. It is a bad AtE where Lenlo is badly trying to mask his meta

If you want me to chill and be useless I can do that. I tend to not be very helpful to town when I do that though.

Its not an AtE. Im not appealing to emotion here. Im being a smartass. And masking my meta? Dude I couldnt care less about that I dont pay attention to or care about meta. Infact I dont think meta is a legitimate reason to lynch someone in anygame. It doesnt matter what people did in other games it matters what they did in this one. You trying to use meta as a reason for me to be scum makes this case all the weaker.

He votes Dice just before Dice claims tracker. When Krak suspected a bandwagon vote, his response was that he wanted to consolidate close to deadline. Really? It was still 8 hours for the deadline. I didnt suspect Darthe. I figured Darthe was town pulling a stupid stunt and wasnt willing to vote him. And 8 hours? Considering I figured I wouldnt be around that much after that vote im pretty sure that counts as consolidation. I wasnt trying to hide anything, I didnt make up any bs reason to vote Dice I straight up told the truth.

I jumped on to consolidate so yes it was def a bandwagon vote so we didn't go random.

I never scum or others were trying to consolidate as a way of FoS or anything like that. Your making things up. I made a crack at the quiet people because they were quiet and hadnt participated much in game.

All in all this case is complete and utter crap. Its making things up or taking them out of context, attempting to use meta which I hate and trying to get me lynched with what is imo faulty reasoning.

(caught up)

@Pralaya - don't you think it is a null tell to be casing Lenlo on wanting to know the setup of the wedges?  I mean, Salami went as far as make a running list, and we know he was town.  I'm not sure Lenlo wanting to gain this info as well means he's scum.

Official Vote Count:

TG (3): Krak, Hallia, Amega

Lenlo (1): Pray

Not Voting (10): Vos, Darthe, Xhtrax, TG, Monk, Dap, Verb, Time, Lenlo, Rhea

With 14 alive, it takes 8 to lynch. Deadline is here

An important note on a clock wedge: Those affected by the 7 o clock wedge are not allowed to say so, before the 24 hours is up. There is no punishment if anyone has done this before now, as I have forgotten to tell them. This will be the only announcement.

For easy reference - The bell:

What we seem to know:
  • The bell tolls every 24 hours. (fact)
  • It seems that the number of screams indicates the number of people affected (speculation)
  • It seems that the same zone gives the same effect to everyone, everytime (speculation, based on the 1st and 4th toll)
  • It seems that the zone gets selected with simple randomness (speculation, but the data fits a simple 1/12)
  • It seems that the players affected get selected independently, with 1/12 chance (speculation, but the 3/0/2/2/2/0 fits that just fine - ofc it could fit a lot of things but this is the simplest

This is Csarmis list. I was just hit with the bell tolling 9 times. I did not get lynchproof. What this means is that the wedges effects are either random, change or are different for each person.

Oh well ok then. NVM that. Then let me add 10 tolls to the list.

Had to fix it. Part wasnt in blue so mighta been confusing.

Not sure what to make of Prals' case. Reads like seriously grasping at straws here, as several people tried to figure out mechanics. Also, referencing the books seems more like genuine curiosity than "desperate fishing". On the other hand, I understand the "hmm, game not moving" comment at the beginning. It is slowing down so a thin case might be good fishing for reactions. In which case Lenlos quick vote didn't seem too good.

Still on the fence here, but from what I read I think this is town-on-town violence.

I liked Daps theory on me, even though it fell through. Genuine scum-hunting, looking at interactions, and if he was scum I think he would have checked the QT and seen that I CC'd before making that whole case. Strong town lean.

Leaning scum on TG, but I want him to log on before I cast my vote.

Lot of lurkers need to start participating.

I'm with Lenlo on the whole Pral case thing. It also goes into my crazy theory that the sectors might not effect mafia.

Might be... not sure how that would fit with the theme - or the balance?

And, have I missed you explaining your theory somewhere? If not, what makes you think so?

Posted

Alright im just gonna say it so we have time for proper cases today. I know for a fact that TG is town because we are mason partners together. Thats why I dont want to lynch him. I dont know where he is right now either but hopefully he gets here soon.

With that out there lets try and make a case on someone who might actually be scum.

That's why it is a crazy theory

I have no evidence or anything but dice seemed to target sector talk, then Csarmi was NKed (and he was the main one putting together the list of who was where, when)

It just seems the mafia don't want sectors chatted about in detail.

But like I said, crazy theory

Well that's unexpected.

Why wait so long to mention it?

Posted

I was hoping TG would show up and actually convince you guys on his own, but I decided it had been long enough and that if we were gonna do anything legitimate today I needed to say something now.

Posted

Ok I guess that makes sense

I'm leaving for work in 4 hours and I'm out basically all day tomorrow so I don't really have those two days.

You said the people who jumped on that train quickly you were watching

So out of amega, hally! and krak, who do you think is the most scummy (add me and Nervo to the list if you want. We both I'd we would vote once he had made a comment first)
