I should likely say something about the deal with Winter's last name. Yes, Winter didn't get married and take the name Celchu until way after the Thrawn trilogy was done. But I needed to take into account that not everyone playing would know the source material. It stood to reason people would be looking up their characters. So I decided to give out Winter with that last name, figuring if anyone looked her up they'd need the name she is listed under. (at the time, I had no way of knowing that she would go to Des, who actually had read the books.)  I can't actually remember if Winter gets a last name at all during the Thrawn trilogy, as I recall she is only mentioned by her first name the whole time. I could be wrong.

 

Oh yeah, and Thrawn might have been the most logical choice as GF. But Thrawn was also IMO the most logical person to be using the ysalamiri. I had to work them into this game series somewhere, and the ysalamiri struck me as best fitting an RB-type ability since in the books they prevent the use of the Force. Thus, I made Thrawn a Force-specific RB, and separated the town powers into Force users and non-Force users. From there, I wound up making C'Baoth the GF.

 

Would you BELIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVE i FORGOT about C'Boath?? I was thinking Thraw Paelleon and rukh.

As for the name  until i researched her i didn't know her last name. Ive read a LOT of SW books and I don't think her last name was EVER given.

 

 

 

 

Lynching a known Survivor close to Mylo is soooo much worse than lynching one early on in a game.

Basil, the Alliance isn't about pre-game friendships, it's about developing a strong town unit in games.

 

Harsh to say you would consider not allowing us in future games.

 

At the time, it seemed early on like the alliance was acting as a bit of a 4th party. I apologize if I was wrong, you and Tommy both played an awesome game, and Tommy fought a good fight even though he was the last one left. I honestly felt that if any of the scum team could pull it out by themselves, it would be him. You lot would be welcome in any future games I run.

That being said, having this game go down to the wire would probably have conflicted with the mods moving in together, so I'm glad it didn't get that far.

 

It really saddens me that people seem to have almost no understanding of my style of play

 

See all kinds of posts about my instincts being off early game, etc., tunneling on players and getting conf bias...

 

Ive said many times before my game is all about the long game, not the short game. I play many of my reads close to the chest, and purposefully go off target so scum are less likely to NK me. I hated when I always used to give my true reads all the time, just to get NK'ed early and have everyone ignore everything I pointed out about the mafia team.

 

Ever since I adopted this new playstyle, I consistently live till endgame as town and am often hugely instrumental in town victory. And I have been a lot more effective. As far as my tunneling, I actually pride myself on not slipping into confirmation bias too easily. But it's SOOOO valuable to keep the charade going for longer once you HAVE nailed your target as town to see the reactions it gets from others.

 

There's a lot that people assume about my play that is often way off the mark. Oh well. Guess I should be glad that I'm still underestimated even at this stage.

 

Des, you blew my mind with your play on the last day phase. Really. For a while it seemed like you were trusting Tommy blindly, but you did a good job in making the scum think you were being led around. I will try not to take you for granted so much anymore.

Yeah there's some good laughs in there like us shooting the wrong replacement player instead of the cop early in the game because we got all the replacements mixed up

 

 

I think you getting Dice then would have made things a lot different.

 

Sorry to my team for losing the WIM but when people started dropping like flies I really couldn't keep it up anymore ifyouknowwhatimsayin
