What did you think about the rules? Were the role PM's and win conditions clear enough?

Then save it for after the game.  I had no doubt before you tried that move that Nolder was completely lying.  It goes against everything he's stood for before.  Then it seemed like he instigated a request.  Which then made me feel like he was truly upset.  So, I basically didn't interact with him for the rest of the game. 

 

Just an fyi for the future.  What happens in the game is game play.  That is my stand and will always be and always has been.

I don't understand why Nolder wouldn't false claim something. Maybe cause Golden's the alternate train anyway so it would amount to nothing. Obviously thy don't know that they wouldn't get CC'd on any claim, but still.

Two parter. First of all as mafia I was trying to imitate my town meta whenever possible. Secondly I don't really believe in claiming. I've made the argument before and I can again if you'd like to dig into it but for the most part I think it only helps scum. People should not claim as often as they do, especially vanillas. 

 

 

I doubt Cloud will survive till the end.

I personally don't think Masons give a HUGE advantage to town, but they're def useful in key situations.

I disagree. I kinda think they're stronger than cop or doc in smaller games. With masons you tend to have at least ONE confirmed townie out of the pair, sometimes two.

Cops and docs can go a whole game doing a whole lotta nothing (sup Verbal) and die miserably. With masons even if one dies it really only helps confirm the other which will result in a net benefit for town ALWAYS unless it happens at end game.

 

 

Would have been nice for the mafia team to have SOME kind of ability to balance this advantage out. Like mebbe a vote controlling ability, or silencing or something. Something to negate town's advantage of being able to have multiple early cleared town leaders.

A silencer would have been nice actually. Especially early game when BFG was on my case hardcore. I really couldn't argue with her much because she was confirmed so I had to just sit there and say "duhhh well idk what you're talking about derp derp #plzkillmenow"

 

 

And BTW, reasonable Nolder = mafia Nolder. 

Still take mild offense to this. I will just chalk it up to you meaning that I'm intentionally less stubborn as scum, which does tend to be true.

I have never played a basic game without a doc, so I took nolder wholeheartedly at his reveal. Good idea there.

I believe it happens.  Anyway..it was such a small portion of my case on you I had a hard time you were really feeling so outraged.  In fact, I believed the whole thing was a big pile of fake emo.  Then Csarmi comes along and gave you credibility.  Not only in the joint pm BUT in private pm's as well.  He kept wanting me to talk about it even after I made it clear I did not wish to do so. 

 

So I just left you alone except when I pointed out your DOC claim didn't make sense to me sense you didn't claim when you were L-1.  (Even if your meta supports that)

 

I also stopped trying as hard after Csarmi's PM.  It through me for a big loop.  I just wanted this game over...hence the early vote on Hoof who I was beginning to hedge on.

Most mentor threads were very fun, very relaxed and some of those very, very enlightening and useful. Also, the mentors realyl were on their best behavious and they did NOT influence the game directly.

 

I believe none of them will be shared, They were always planned to be private and the discussion that ensued on most of them were never ment to be released to public.

Well call me emo if you must but I think being implied a cheater in a game that revolves around an honor system is a pretty big deal. It wasn't faked.

I was talking it out with Verbal via PM and informed Csarmi of that fact and he insisted he be involved and then that's when he put us in the PM together.

I really didn't want to discuss it anymore and agree the PM was forced and annoying.

I also agree with your sentiments about the game, at the time I just wanted the game to end ASAP as well which prompted my doctor claim.

Really impressed with Cloud's and Tommy's play and I have to admit Nolders as well.

 

I have to find a way to not come across as scummy when I lock on to a read.  It's a problem I've had for a long time..and I think it gets manipulated at bit.
