I still think ishy is sus for calling my accusation rolefishing, and buddying with verbal

Back it up with a vote then big guy, don't nudge a train on me without being a man. Otherwise stfu.

@Wombat:  glad you agree on Hoof.  As for Des, though, I don't think the outrage was feigned....nor do I think those were crocodile tears.  He was pretty riled up in Nolder's last game, so I expect the rage this time around was genuine.  Granted, that doesn't explain why he signed up for another game modded by Nolder after his (Des') threats last time around.......but that's another story.

I considered that as well.  I was pissed that game too after all so I remember it well.  Thing is, I think Des would be expressing this reaction regardless of alignment, but the fact that it seems off to me means that I think he's actually giggling in a QT.

Such emotion there Goldy.

I never said my vote was a joke, but I am taking a page out of Dap's book and evening out the trains to see who is going to switch things up.

I agree with some of the points BFG has brought up regarding your actions towards Cloud's flip.

Also, I'm reading Verb as Town (regardless of the soft claim) and looking at Wombat's post earlier regarding the voting patterns Des and BH look pretty sketchy, therefore I have chosen not to be on the same wagon as them.

Pretty simple.

This is a gross abdication of responsibility for your vote.  Vote who you want to and own it.

I can point out suspicious behaviour without voting.

Besides, an ishy train isn't happening today, with the deadline so close.

Is the deadline seriously already upon us? Lol, what a joke.

@Verb: Tbh, only reason I signed up is because Wombat did and I'm a fanboi of his (plus he always ends up town in most games I play with him, I wanna see how he acts when scum).

@Wombat: my vote on Verbal wasn't meaningless yesterday. I voted him before Nolder set that ridiculous deadline. But you know what? It was during my reread that I realized Nolder wasn't as much to blame this time as last game. He warned about the lack of activity, and how he might set a short deadline if he didn't see more gameplay. And what happens after that? You, Verbal, and Darthe all keep going on about statistical nonsense instead of trying to actually get serious. Darthe flipped town, which if anything makes me suspect you and Verbal even more. And the way you both called my vote on Verb opportunistic today (it wasn't; Darthe, Hoof, and Verb were my top suspects but Darthe's flip made me less sure of Hoof, and Verb's responses were poopie), then ditched his train for no reason soon after tells me y'all are likely teammates that attempted a lazy gambit

Speaking of which, Verbal CONTINUES to hold town hostage today by not claiming even tho he's been one of the top lynch candidates all day and fear-mongered about us lynching him yesterday without a claim. Dude has got to go.

That being said, Golden's reaction to AJ's vote was extremely odd compared to his reaction to votes on him last game (when he was town). I'm comfortable with either of those trains really (Verb and GE). Hoof's reactions don't seem that bad today, and it looks like he's at least trying to look for stuff in others.

Off to chuckie cheese, will try and check back in before deadline later tho

Actually, Nolder is at fault.  He obliterated a 4 vote train and then set a ridiculous deadline.  And you're totally misrepping my actions.  I had stuff I needed to do on Tuesday night.  I made sure my vote was on a relevant train before I left though.  And you called that vote pro-town for multiple reasons in your little catchup, so to paint my actions then as scummy now is a complete 180.

Votecount

Cloud - Verbal, Andrej (2)

Blackhoof - Cloud(1)

Verbal - Des (1)

No Lynch - Darthe (1)

Not voting: Pralaya, BFG, Ishy, Goldeneyes, Wombat, Blackhoof

With 11 alive it takes 6 to lynch.

Note: Leelou's vote and all votes on Leelou have been reset to "not voting"

vote leelou

Obviously

Darthe the Troll strikes again.

Deadline: 10 hours from now.

Yeah not Nolder's fault at all.  He wipes out the biggest train then less than hour later sets a 10 hour deadline.

Also, these 4 posts are consecutive.  Must've been a real thorough reread you did in order to miss that huh?

How am I not? I stated why I am voting for GE. I also state how I don't feel comfortable voting with Des and BH, hence why I'm not on the Verb wagon.

Ok, none of the trains are going anywhere right now.

Golden - I'm voting you because you seemed to be nudging the trains yesterday (by asking for a deadline) yet apparently never intended to switch votes to secure a lynch (I'd still appreciate clarification on what you were aiming for with this).  However the last two votes aren't great, Pral's at least following up on a mafia read, but the last set of reads AJ gave, have you as Town, while Blackhoof is an outlier for him, so.

Vote: Cloud

Too jokey this time.  Making up for last game.  Gotcha x2.

I'm trying to change my meta. Is it working?

Maybe nothing, but it was Cloud that brought meta into discussion way back at the start of Day 1, and this is pretty much the only 'mafia hunting' Verb tries Day 1 (I know I'm one to talk)

OMGUS a little more Verbal, it feels so yummy. And <3 the fearmongering about getting blind lynched, love that too, especially considering your recent track record for when you think it's a good time to claim.

Right now, you are within your scum meta like it's a well-fitting glove. The whyme fryme. The fluff. The "helpful townie". The self meta defense. The evading cases made against you.

Just die.

Who am I OMGUSing?  And yes, that was fear mongering.  Blind lynching before a reveal is sloopy & poor play.  For somebody that doesn't usually promote sloppy play, I'm quite surprised you seem ok with calling me out for being right.  You do advocate poor play lots of times - all one has to do is read some of your posts.

And remember my comment about manipulating metas when I eventually have a coroner report on me (whenever that may be).  I'll be the guy in back saying "I told you so".

As for the stupid whymefryme, whatever that is supposed to be:  you'll need to explain how I'm doing that.  I'm not even really defending myself here.  Helpful townie?  No sh*it.  I'm a townie.  I'm trying to be helpful.  Amazing, amirite?

I like the changing story - here he agrees it's fearmongering, implying it's a softclaim (if it wasn't a softclaim it wouldn't be fearmongering)

Also nice AtE

I don't like Verbal's softclaim... at like, 2 votes. way premature

unvote

vote verbal

if you have a claim, make it, don't hint at one. it leaves it nicely open for you to avoid having to claim a role and possibly be counter-claimed.

That's a joke, right?  2 votes with 5 to lynch.  I would not consider L-3 to be "way premature".......would you?

This is easily a scum bangwagon vote.  I called you out as likely scum before, but now I'm more solid on you than either Des or Wombat (both of those have shown a few town tendencies mixed in).

Unvote

Vote: Hoof

Also another implication that it was a soft-claim by stating that L-3 isn't too early to claim.

Also, at what point did I "softclaim" a role?  I just said allow me to reveal and don't blind lynch.  That is simply mafia 101 - you get reveals when you have competing trains and time before a deadline.  Blind lynching is simply lazy and poor play.

I don't see how this equates to me softclaiming something.  You keep using that word.  I don't think it means what you think it means.  ;-)

But now he wasn't soft-claiming

Eh. Pral's lookin for an excuse to point fingers at me, don't care, I have a null read on him. I went through every player's comments in this game one by one. Black hoof and verbal were my strongest scum reads. Of the two, I think verbal is better at manipulating people so I probably read his comments with extra scrutiny I'll admit that. Hoof is scummy, but if he really is mafia, then he is very bad at hiding it. I've got a town read on wombat. I think some of his posts are beyond nitpicking grammar and I disagree with him at times, but I think he's just scumhunting. Even if he dislikes the length of my post. Dunno about Des, I have him pegged as scum adjacent, but I always think he's scummy due to his propensity for flying off the handle. Similarly I have a hard time with Ishy. I have him as town right now, but I trust him less than anyone because I can't get a straight read on him with all the sarcasm. Bfg- town with good scumhunting. Aj- null.

Pretty sure either you or Pralaya is scum.  The interaction seems weird based on both your play thus far.  If I had to choose....

Scum:

Hoof

Wombat or Des

Pralaya or Golden

Another strange comment.  The purpose for Town is to find the mafia.

I'm gonna look through Blackhoof's more recent contributions and see how I feel about voting.

Blackhoof seems mostly just uncertain.  He's looking better Day2 than Day 1, whereas Verb doesn't seem to be playing.

Hey guys remember how Des flung a "Gargantuan FoS" at Hoof D1?  Seems he's oddly quiet about Hoof today.

I wonder why?

Ishy is right on both accounts. Voting an outlier right before a lynch is antitown, cause you're pretty much throwing your vote away and showing an unwillingness to help secure a lynch. It's almost always better to make sure a lynch is secured before deadline than not, since even mislynches can be useful for town. Missed lynches tho, as in where we don't obtain a majority, usually serve as a big distraction the next day, and generally rob the town of info that it desperately needs.

As far as inactivity, I agree that it's generally antitown, however going after one is counterproductive and possibly very risky. It's counterproductive because you're less likely to get good info- the inactive might not even respond to your vote, and if they're scum will likely just get bussed if it comes down to it. And it's risky because it could lead to either a mislynch on a PR, very bad, or outing a PR who was trying to lay low to escape scum attention (which isn't a good strategy imo, but that's a diff discussion).

Darthe flipping town makes me less sure of Hoof, was sure they were teammates. Verbal still looks mighty scummy to me tho, and his flippant responses to me don't come close to making me feel better about him.

Vote Verbal.

Oh ok so Des distanced from Hoof D1.

Then Darthe (one of Des' bitter enemies this game) dies N1, and all of a sudden Hoof isn't scummy because Darthe flipped town.

Yeah, that's not sketch at all.

unvote vote Hoof

That should put both trains at 4 apiece. I'm not willing to vote Verb based on the soft-claim, regardless of it's scummy behavior or not. If he happens to actually be a PR and we lynch him, well... you get the idea. It will work itself out eventually anyway, there are other options and it isn't like anyone will forget if he continues to survive the Night phases.

I'm back and forth with Hoof. Some of those on his wagon I'm a little suspect of so I want to see his flip.
