He's trying to clear his teammate by cross-association. Cloud foolishly thinks he'll be able to get me lynched, and knows that I'll flip town, which could then lead him to say "Hmm, mebbe I was wrong about CS..."

 

Honestly, the only thing that is making me still have the slightest doubt about your alignment is that you usually aren’t this obvious when you are mafia.

 

Other big problem I have with that post is your comments about BFG. You compliment how well she's defending herself... from one vote? After she defended herself with... one post? And then you hedge your bets by pointing out that she hasn't voted yet.

Yes, BFG has defended herself quite well against your vote on her which was only based because you think she is overstating the fact that you haven’t commented on Peace’s vote, and then you call her out on buddying in the same post (I don’t think that she was buddying at all; she was only chatting a bit with you about the previous game). Is this really reason enough to switch from your oh so certain mafia read on Csarmi?

Also, her defense against your vote on her wasn’t the only thing that I liked about her play, it was that she was picking up on some of your inconsistencies so far, but like I said her refusal to vote so far is pinging because she doesn’t appear to want to follow up all her talking with a vote. It’s giving me the feeling that she is just fence sitting, and I don’t like that because there has been plenty of gameplay going around during the last few pages.

 

You also conveniently forgot about Csarmi while you were focusing on BFG, but then you later came back on him because he was following Leelou.

I agree with the bolded. I can see someone being so absolutely certain somewhere halfway in the game when you have established firm reads on the rest of the players, but certaintly not when Day 1 has only been going on for 4 pages.

 

There has been plenty of votes and game related talk going on, and BFG also gave her opinion about a couple of players (most notably Des), but she still hasn't voted for someone. This is starting to give me to feeling of someone who doesn't actually believe in the things that she is saying.

Honestly, it should have been clear for everyone to see, but I was starting the game off aggressive on purpose. Wanted to try and rile things up cause I feared with a long N0, town would be somewhat apathetic. Obviously it's pretty difficult for anyone to be sure of anything at this point, that goes without saying.

It's day 1. I don't need much reason at all to switch my vote if I feel it necessary. Tbh, I voted BFG on a lark to see her reaction, and actually I was fine with it. For now at least.

You're once again hedging your bets. First you say you like multiple things about her play, then you say you don't like that she seems to be fencesitting. Do I have to break down why this is scummy Cloud? You're trying to leave yourself an out for whatever situation might arise regarding BFG, this is what I meant when I said mafia like to be slippery and leave themselves wiggle room.

How did I forget him? I chose to move my vote elsewhere, and later chose to move it back. I forgot nothing.

"Only Sith deal in absolutes" < Star Wars quote. This reference has been used in mafia games before. I never agreed with it's use. Again, mafia are much more likely to be slippery and keep from being pinned down on something.

 

And I don't care how my behavior looks to you, I'm trying to find scum. If I feel like being aggressive and moving my vote around to get reactions, that's my prerogative. You can keep trying to act like your bandwagon vote is justified.

Other game thoughts:

 

Didn't have great feelings about Mish hammering on the balance thing before the game had even begun. Seemed like an attempt to seek town cred to me. Haven't seen her post yet since the game started tho.

 

GF also piggybacked onto this, and I feel like if he was town, he would have responded to Peace's vote on him by now.

 

Still need a lot more people to check in and add their thoughts.

Not for him, no. He's one of "those people", that like waiting for a big blinking neon sign to drop out of the sky telling them who to vote for, until the deadline is close so the only option is consolidation. At least on day 1 he's like that.

Meh. I'm done trying to push policy lynches for now. As Yates said, they never end up getting the support they need anyways. For that kind of thing to work, you'd need enough people committed to encouraging or discouraging specific types of play over the long term.

I didn't really like his opening post questioning the mod then disappearing. Tina posted she has the game figured out so I wanted to see what she had to say. So far she's ignored it. She's one I can read after a day or so, so for the moment I'm watching her.

Still just waking up. Wanted to look at the train first before moving my vote. All the other votes on your train look like pile on. Salami's and Cloud's are sticking out the most right now, but I doubt mafia would pile on that quickly. Out of the 2, I'm more inclined to say salami is scum. Cloud is generally hard for me to read at first and I find him to be on the scummy side.

While I didn't attach much reasoning, my vote wasn't just a pile-on vote, but a completely serious one, based on Despo's play to that point.
