Also, remember Thorum's justification for asking for a character claim? There could be multiple cops? How does that make sense? Furthermore, even if there were multiple cops, why would you ask for a character claim from a claimed cop on D1 instead of just lynching someone else and waiting for results?

All of Razen's posts so far.  He and Darthe have a little bit of distancing to start (Darthe further distances later when he asks who Razen is).  Then he thinks Alanna looks defensive but agrees with Alanna all in one sentence (fence sitting much?).  Votes Basel right off the bat and says Hally looks bad but doesn't vote and points that out. He agrees with Wombat, agrees with Tig, agrees with Alanna, etc.  

 

More than anything though it looks to me like scum lurking.

 

 

 

I am curious as to if asking who someone is when they aren't around actually counts as distancing or if this is just bad reaching?  Can't really disagree with the assessment of scum lurking though from him.

@Krak, why do you need to reiterate that mish said something about not being masonic?  I can't tell if that is a soft reveal or what.

 

 

On this line of reasoning, if two masons think someone is town they sometimes together protect that individual which I find telling considering the above.

 

@Womby, Thorum seems odd to me as well but you look town this game and I think he is just trying to draw you into something.  I'm personally not interested in watching you two duke it out, so please case or drop it because this line of conjecture is seemingly pointless and will not win votes?

 

 

Darthe feels good today.

 

Darthe decided to go back to old Darthe style and point out a few inherent things based on what we may know about the game.

 

20 players, 1 sk, from what I can tell likely a bit low on town PR's with the mod seeming to use the SK as a balancer to the mafia... I would estimate 4 instead of the more common 5 mafia, since we should have had two kills at night and I furthermore think that it is unlikely to see too many other killing roles.  Thus a vig probably won't happen.  Using this line of reasoning, a backup SK doesn't seem improbable to give that team a bit more umph and cover the mods ass for balance reasons if the SK does die early, but again this is simple conjecture and we could as easily have five mafia.  If we do have four I would expect them to be pretty suped up, roleblocker (we know of) etc.  Perhaps a GF or the LD equivalent if I am picking up on the hints properly.   Based on my own role and the feel I got reading through the game I would have to say that this one is going to last a good while and looking at the spread of the kills methinks someone on the mafia team is using that intentionally.

Thus, 

 

I am interested in TG, Mish, and Hally (mostly newer players that I have been mafia with or that showed interest in moderating and considering mafia theory)

 

However, if we take it further, attempting to eliminate some bias and tighten this down from conjecture to probable it would seem that this games flow and the like indicates a series of more nuanced actions perhaps from an experienced player or guiding hand.  With this in mind and used as a frame of reference, I am thus forced to consider players such as Krak, Peace, Razen, Thorum, and the oddly silent Despo.

 

Methinks that this team will be built of mostly newer players with a strong guiding hand that is biding his/her time.  Now, I recognize that on its own this is conjecture, but when put in your frame of mind with the words "mafia, scum" etc and in consideration of the statistical anomaly of the likelihood of players to be divided by some known characteristic such as experience (to which I reference the wonderfully provided materials from Wombat) I think that lists such as this can actually increase our chances of finding scum in a specific ratio of people.

 

For now I intend to look strongly into the newer crowd and hope that one or two of you will look very closely at this older crowd of people.

 

Furthermore, I have another theory but I would greatly appreciate if this one was considered first by all of you, for potential faults and the like.  I haven't quite been up to mafia in a while and what seems best to me may not be as effective to you.

 

P.S. I think it should be noted that when Kaylee died nobody died with her.  Thus the SK shot at the doc or a BPV or the like.  Might be useful info for later.

Suffice it to say, he's been acting extremely scummy since I defended him and he's been trying to get me lynched because of it too. It's like he thinks that me flipping town will clear him or something.

 

I don't think we've seen enough kills to deduce a strategy from them yet. Kaylee kill seemed kinda knee-jerk and noobish, but the Tiink kill was pretty logical. So basically only one informative kill there imo.

 

I would also like to reiterate my desire for a character reveal from Thorum. If he's so fond of them and thinks they're harmless, then I see no reason he can't oblige us.

I'm okay with waiting on a case, it isn't as if he has given much on your end either.  I think you might have some conf. bias there, but past that you are spot on about him claiming and the kill analysis.
