Also, we could lynch Booboo to learn about others. I don't care at this point. I just need the information.

No one should be advocating lynching Boo at this point.

And yet I do. Do you think we would have two town reporters? I don´t. From what I understand of the character claims, Ed is more likely to be town. What can we gain by keeping Booboo? Information? What kind of information? A mafia reporter must be able to fake reports, so we can´t trust his information anyway.

I think Poo flinger is a good name for you. I'll give Boo credit for that.

There is a guy named CTM over on JN, pretty sure he came up with it. If it wasn't him, it was Slats.

It definitely wasn't Booboo. He has ZERO original material.

What is going on here is pretty transparent too, LOL. I actually thought Booboo was town, but the way he and you and Nolder have all reacted to me putting pressure on him as trap, has actually exposed the reality.

If you are a SK, then I could see the town having 2 reporters, yes. If town has an actual vig that has been holstering, then yes.

I dunno what to do here. This game BLOWS, and it's not John Snow's fault. The participation has been abysmal and it's got me all turned around.

I do know one thing... Booboo complaining about me posting too much is pandering to you all, to win favor. I have a hard time believing he's serious, since he NEVER is. He could care less about me posting feverishly. He's using his gripes about "not being able to scum hunt" to stay out of the fray. Not sure why though, LOL, he's such a d-bag he might be doing it to bust my balls.

There's definitely an element to this setup that hasn't exposed itself yet, which is why we've reached such an impasse.

Sorry this is so late and not as complete as I might like.

Ape, I really thought you were the scummiest person in the entire game until you were revealed as the potential cop. since Ed's view on Ishy was correct I am more willing to give you the benefit of the doubt.  The lack of a cc only enforces it. so unless there is a percentage chance that the viewings are incorrect, which I don't recall seeing eith Eddie or Booboo say there was then that looks even more solid.

Eddie, with the accurate view leads me to believe his claim. There are some "edisms" out there but I am finding him town.

Booboo, his views are unconfirmed at this point and there have been a few times that I felt he was most likely mafia. If there is a mafia reporter then I would lean towards him of the two even with his Bob character claim. Unsure, but of the two reporters I would lynch him before Ed.

Peace, I was believing him more and more until he kept pushing so hard at the reported cop. I could see if Ape had just claimed cop but he was "exposed" by another role. Right now leaning mafia.

TG, has taken some stands here lately but my impression has been that he was more sniping here and there. Taking the path of least resistance if you will. slight mafia read.

Leelou, unsure. there was a lot of fence sitting early. I don't remeber her style tbh so still null at this point.

Hybrid, some back and forth with Ape early but it felt more like town v. town now that I have the perspective of Ape as the Cop. So Town lean

Lenlo, Not providing much in the way of original thought. But not arguing in the way that I have seen him when he is mafia. Null

Nolder, I don't really recall much at all of Nolder which is odd to me. I know he has posted and must have done some things but nothing really has stood out to me.

Verb, (viewed as CITIZEN by Booboo) early back and forth with Ape. Has gotten a little quieter since Ape revealed as Cop. Thniking perhaps that he doesn't want to push the idea of the views being incorrect as it removes his shield there.

AVM, (viewed as CITIZEN by Booboo) similar to Verb but hasn't gone as quiet and seems to be more active in his attempts to help town.

Crusher/Rand: Crusher had the madness with Csarmi. Rand has made a few good points but they feel more like mafia distancing from his teammate and also jumping on townie mistakes.

Katiora, strange posting with the fluff at Leelou early and a few things that were noted by several others. Slight mafia lean.

Tina, (claimed VIG) two things are really troubling me about Tina. The first one is that when she claimed she clarified that her kill was 50%. Both kills were successful. This is within the realm of averages. Further when Ape looked up the wiki info on her character it stated that the character NEVER MISSED. Now I know that flavor may need to be adjusted to acheive balance, but this seems like a huge change. It feels to me like it is a means for her to be able to not shoot at  a teammate while maintaining her claim. So how did Vabram die? I don't know. With the seemingly powerful town perhaps there really are two mafia teams. What better way to gain town cred than to kill someone from the other team.

I have no other reason to believe there are two teams but I am having a hard time seeing how all these roles would be town unless there is some powerful mafia out there someplace. To date it hasn't been revealed. Every day that goes by without any powerful mafiosos leads to a worse and worse feeling that something is terribly wrong.

Right now I think Tina, Peace, TG, with Booboo, Verb, Rand, Katiora as the most likely possibles.

Vote Tina  I am thinking the chances of her really being a vig is slim to none.

Bah..all this time to come up with an in depth view of the game so far and Turin posts that drivel?  Thanks for the great analysis of the game so far.

I've barely been around since Thursday and someone describes me as not "AVM, (viewed as CITIZEN by Booboo) similar to Verb but hasn't gone as quiet and seems to be more active in his attempts to help town"

LOL.

And honestly, if you see Booboo as scum I don't see how you don't worry about me as a GF as has been mentioned.

Of course I'm the scummiest player in the game. It's DM, if you post in a game here you are "scummy".

I had truly forgotten how awful the logic here is. Talking a lot is not scummy, when you see people pro-actively leveraging a situation (like Rand talking about lynching me before we even finished lynching Ishy and got his alignment) that is scummy.

Scum has more information than us. They can avoid situations that will make them look bad, thus by this stage of the game they tend to look cleaner, not scummier. Scum also has the ability to get greedy when they see town going down the wrong path, and will tend to try to set up one townie, as we lynch another. Scum will also troll a debate on semantics to stifle people that are casing them. They will also purposefully muddle a game with setup theories.

Talking =/= scummy.

Meh. This game... it's making me hate mafia.

A few of us have made our vote and until the rest of the players decide who they'll be voting for there just isn't much more we active players can do.

I understand, I just have little patience for it.

I find it highly disrespectful to the time and efforts of the moderator and the players that joined the game to PLAY it, when people just flake out. Seems to be an issue here on DM though, everyone wants to sign up, but nobody cares much for fulfilling the commitment of playing the game. If they do at least follow along, they are terrified of contributing anything that might "get them lynched", so it's pointless that they even sign up. I had hoped the play here improved since my last couple games here, it hasn't. A lot of you have tried, but there are some that I just don't think get what makes the game fun.

I'd rather be wrong 1,000 times over, as long as I'm giving my best effort, than sitting idly by on the sidelines afraid to do anything, or just blowing it off because maybe I didn't get a "cool role".

Vanilla town is the BEST role you can get in mafia. Good players understand why.

Back.  Not online over weekends, and yesterday was my son's 4th birthday, so I was out with him all day.  Back at work now.  Time to roll.  Or troll.  Depends.

I think this should clear up any questions about Kincaid, Tina and the shotgun vs. sniper rifles. I believe completely that Tina took both shots she is claiming. However, based on the dynamics of this character, I could easily see it being the most logical to use as a 3rd party. No loytalties to either Harry or the Denarians.

Jared Kincaid (the Hellhound)

Species: Half-human, half-demon scion (alleged by Ebenezar McCoy)

Occupation: Mercenary, Guardian of the Archive

Jared Kincaid is his modern name, but the Hellhound was the name used by this half-human killer when working for Drakul himself, centuries before. He appears to be in his thirties, a tall, handsome man "with dark golden hair, just long enough to look a little exotic, sporting gray-blue eyes that missed nothing...built like a swimmer more than a weight lifter, all leonine power and lazy grace taken completely for granted" but to a wizard's Sight, he appears as an enormous horned, bat-winged entity. He is a killer of incredible ability, who doesn't miss what he shoots at, tremendous (although concealed) strength, speed, and recuperative ability. He seems skilled in all the possible black op and special forces tricks and tactics one could ask for, from commenting how he'd snipe Harry down from a thousand yards away if Harry cheats him to avoid a death curse, to being able to take out two Denarians with one shot.

His combat experience is immense and not restricted to firearms. Brought down by several vampiric hounds and boosted zombies, he not only lives through the fight, he kills all his enemies. In Small Favor he is responsible for the deaths of at least five, possibly six Denarians, and is only brought down when he actually shows himself in a last-ditch effort to save Ivy. He is extremely inventive about the appropriate equipment he brings to a fight (proper costumes and identification, sawed off shotguns, boar-spears with explosive caps, paint guns shooting holy water balls, and so forth.) His recuperative abilities are immense, he can generally recover from any attack given time. Despite what seems an extraordinary amount of fighting experience, he actually has little experience with direct magical combat and wizardry (although he is VERY well versed on all the magical tricks/effects non-spellcasters can use), confessing that he'd never seen a wizard 'cut loose' like Harry did in Blood Rites. He is also a consummate actor, showing the ability to switch accents easily, and playing the part of an emergency worker as easily as that of a cop. He has a visual range that extends at least into the infrared, a sense of smell at least as sharp as a dog, and presumably superb hearing and touch to go with it.

Although possessed of a shady past, Kincaid is scrupulous about honoring his obligations, despite his own misgivings, even if it causes personal injury to himself. He has crossed paths with and shares a mutual enmity with Harry's mentor Ebenezar "Blackstaff" McCoy; the precise reason for the feud is unclear, although it dates to an incident in Istanbul about a century before the time frame of the books. All that McCoy would say on the subject was that there were certain boundaries between those in their profession based on professional courtesy and respect, and that Kincaid had crossed them.

Kincaid is currently under a continuing long-term contract to The Archive. This latter service of guarding a terribly powerful young girl seems to have softened him somewhat, as his loyalty and affection to her seem to go far above and beyond what a mere contract would require, and he seems to see himself and Harry as the only thing that Ivy has as far as family goes after she is kidnapped in Small Favor. He also worked for Ivy's grandmother when she was the Archive, and was a friend of Ivy's angry, tragic mother. Amusingly, when Kincaid sees Ivy cheerfully playing with Harry's cat Mister, he remarks "Now that's scary."

Kincaid also has a purely sexual "friendship" with Karrin Murphy, although she confesses in Small Favor that she has romantic feelings for him as well. Whether these are reciprocated is unknown, though she has stated he gave her chocolates and a gun with "we'll always have Hawaii" written on it, something Murphy refuses to comment on. Murphy also revealed his first name to Dresden in Small Favor. This relationship appears to be over as of Small Favor.

Changes ends with Harry being shot and falling off his temporary home on the Water Beetle into the freezing water with a bullet wound in his chest, and according to the author he was indeed dead. More detail emerges in Ghost Story, as Harry learns that he was shot by a high velocity sniper round fired from the rooftop of a building hundreds of meters away, almost precisely the manner in which Kincaid once told Harry he would kill him if it came down to it. Near the end of the novel, Harry discovers that he had arranged for Kincaid to kill him, believing that he would eventually lose his humanity once he accepted Mab's offer to become the Winter Knight. Molly Carpenter then removed Harry's memory of that conversation so that he could attempt to deceive Mab when they met to close the deal.

Thanks for the research, btw.

Also, we could lynch Booboo to learn about others. I don't care at this point. I just need the information.

We should lynch based on who is scummiest at this point.  Yes, we need info, but I agree that we shouldn't lynch any of the investigative roles.  Even if Booboo or Ed2 is a mafia reporter the more reports they make now the more it will end up hurting scum closer to endgame.  Also, I think Tina needs to take out a few of the players that aren't actually playing.  Turin, Rand, etc.

All in on this one.  We have a pool of players that aren't yet tied to anybody via views (cop, reporter, or otherwise) -- we should lynch from here and have Tina shoot from here.  Remove the complete inactives.

At this point, I'm not even interested in winning. This could very well be a suggestion that serves scum's best interestes, I dunno. If so, it's worth doing to make an example of the inactives and their negative impact on the game.... but then, the lesson would surely be lost on them. So whatevs...

And thanks, Verb.

I know I never put together perfect games, but I am unrivaled on effort. I'm a bit sour on this game, but will see it through, my role's not something someone could just step into.

Active posters getting lynched is a problem on DM. It's been one for awhile.  We are slowly coming out of it with strong encouragement from the active players.

Mod..Mod..Mod...VC please.  DL Please.

Turin mentions me being revealed ad cop multiple times, but doesn't mention mey result on AVM.

I noticed the same.  I know people always miss things when typing up long winded posts such as that, but it's odd to see a few major points left out.
