[Advanced] Bloodlust Mafia Game Over!

2) it is only a weak "defence" if the arguement against me is strong, which it is not.

 

3) a scum tell is not when something looks odd, it is when something DOES make sense.  For example, I am doing exactly what I do in every game (scum or town) yet peace, turin, and others would have you believe that I am somehow acting strange.

 

So, let's run with that.  If I am the same when I am scum or town, then why would it be any kind of case for me to act "strange" in a game such as this?  Why would I act anything but like townie mctownerson if I were scum?  Why would I swing from the fences as I am doing if I had a scum team to let down? 

 

No, the fact of the matter is, regardless of how it happened, we have an arguement that has divided the roster.  There are those who are for my lynch and those who are against it. 

 

...so this is my plan.   Lynch me.   Seriously, lynch me.   I will flip innocent and those who rallied for my head and those who defended me prior to this decision should comprise the short list of people to go after.   There must be scum on both sides.  I know I am innocent and I will flip exactly that.  Watch carefully who turns on who.

A lot of cranky pants with nothing but their own egos to justify their votes.  I'm catching up on my desktop since my craptop took a...well, crap.  No excuse for inactivity of course....and no rest for the wicked.

 

Peacesmells in particular seems to be foaming at the mouth.  Some players tend to take everything as a scum-tell.  They wear tin foil hats and are as quick as a Conger from the Two Rivers to call Darkfriend when someone sneezes.  You wanna gauge reactions to my ramblings, not the ramblings themselves. 

 

What is a common mistake that actual mafia players make is that they overcompensate their scumminess for "im-so-innocent-I-fart-rainbows" statements or they just hide behind inacticity. 

 

One could argue that Peacesmells is OVER-accusing me of scum in a "im-so-angry-I-cant-be-mafia-cuz-mafia-pretend-to-be-innocent-and-happy" way, but there are others who rank higher on my naughty list already. 

 

Vague. Pretending that you did nothing vote-worthy like that is just inane.... blaming the votes on you on overreagerness is silly. Little evidence is what most day 1 votes are based off, and your Cloud vote is based on much weaker reasoning than any of the votes on you.

Weak selective memory is weak. For starters, Mynd never built a case on Cloud, that was me. Mynd was the second vote on him, and afterwards, he said, and I'm paraphrasing, "Doesn't anyone want to comment about the fact that I cast the game's first second vote on someone?" Then I made a third vote and it built from there. So your assertions that Mynd has a weak case on Cloud is disingenous from the start. He had no case and made no attempt to keep it going in the slightest. But your eagerness to push a building train on someone using erroneous "facts" is noted.

 

As to the bolded, you'd know wouldn't you? You and Peace yucking it up in the QT Scummy McScummerson? As far as that goes, think logically for a minute. Before your vote, Mynd was at 5 out of 10 needed. Why in the world would the scum have started bussing him at that point? He wasn't in any danger really. The only obvious answer, in your scenario of mafia on his train, is that they saw the largest train gathering a little momentum, and wanted to spur it further.

Because no legitimate flaws have been pointed out to me yet. "He just seems wierd this time" isn't a valid point to build a case off of.

The game is already compromised if "bondeds" are speaking to each other.  That gives an unfair advantage to the mafia in at least one of three ways, besides being explicitly against the spirit of the game as stated earlier:

 

1) If they are both are scum, then we won't be able to get a decent read on them working together because they can just argue that they are bondeds and such.

 

2) If both are innocent, then the same as above applies but becomes a distraction from the actual mafia working together.

 

3) If one is scum and the other is not, then this gives the mafia a huge advantage and strong influence over the other, therefore neither could be trusted.

 

I contend that CLOUD's lynch makes the most sense for Day 1.

I think it has been well established in this very game that the two of you chat together.  We cannot risk having both of you in this game.   At best, you both are innocent and will provide an easy distraction from the mafia.  At worse, you both are scum and we will always dismiss your mafia tells as "oh they are just bondeds" and ignore them.

For those of you who think the way Mynd has played so far is part of his meta are completely wrong.  Rand, you stated you've only played with him a few times and that I should know his meta.  You are right.  I do know Mynd's meta, going back several years.  

 

However convoluted his schemes are, he doesn't make mistakes.  Yes, his accusations will be wild, but they will be factually correct or at least have the appearance of correctness. 

 

His play in this game is full of obvious fallacies.  Using wrong words, making assumptions on subjects that have already been clarified and blatantly accusing someone of something that hasn't even happened in this game. 

 

This is not Mynds meta.  This is a bag of junk with him hoping others think it is his meta.  My vote stands.

 

I see what you're saying, but I'm not so sure that he doesn't make mistakes. I agree that his play is to normally go after very small leads and blow them up big to try and get reactions in the onset, but I've also seen him just straight up be wrong about something. What bothers me more is what Turin brings up:

 

Where is Mynd anyway? This feels like his team told him to lay low and they are going to see if they can divert the town's attention elsewhere. The only way that would be worth it to them is if his role is really valuable to them.

 

Cosmic, initially my vote was because he pushed an extremely weak case like he was starting the game and then went back to spam (with misleading information. Khan is not in new ST film). Also because BG basically dared anyone to put a second vote on him. You can ask verb about me and dares.

 

I do find it extremely odd that Mynd has Such a large and vocal defense team. I think you will find mafia supporting him. I think he is also mafia and like my vote where it is.

 

I was hoping Despo would be the master vamp just for the irony. Then I could be on his case-let.

 

His activity level dropping off worries me somewhat. Altho as I'm still catching up I saw that apparently he's been having some issues connecting to DM. But if he did have access, I would def see him responding more to the votes on him.

 

I've seen Mynd make mistakes. I think Peace stating he does not interesting. I find it amusing how in awe people always are of Mynd. We always end up talking about him.

 

This. I overall have a lot of respect for Mynd's playstyle, but I think people get a little carried away when it comes to talking up his skill level. Anyhoo, back to catching up (having to fluff up post counts cause the mod thinks I'm slacking )

Gotta say this response really didn't do much for me. Strange chain logic to try and discredit Peace there.

I gotta give him this.  I didn't trust this punk all game then the moment I gave in, he was turned!  That was very epic and almost made up for Lucas raping the Star Wars franchise.  Hell, that game is how the prequels should have been!

 

Anyways, let's apply logic.  It's safe to assume that some of my "defenders" (Myndefenders HO!!!!) are likely scummies trying to look clean, but let's think about this from a mafia team standpoint.  A true evil empire will control the masses from both sides of the arguement.  It works well for the American Government, why not in mafia?  While trying to create a platform for us to argue upon, my own "meta gaming" has become that platform to which our roster is divided.  We have those who think I am scum for doing....what exactly? I'm not sure but I guess I'm a bastard in some way for doing what I always do.

 

Then there are those who are shaming those who vote me because they know, should I be lynched, I'll flip innocent and they can point "I told you so" fingers at those who lynched Mynd the Townie.

I hadn't commented on this before, but yes, Mynd can be a very strong player if he's town, and even moreso I haven't played with him in a while, so honestly, I wouldn't really prefer to lynch him today, regardless of the fact that I am still wary of him. Alright so I'm liking this Hoof train, at least better than the Mynd one for now. I still think Panda deserves a closer look however, but when we have more time I can do a more developed case on him.

The main thing I got against him is his reaction to Mynd trying to martyr himself. If he really was suspicious of Mynd before that I think he wouldve brought up the possibility of Mynd trying to appear the martyr to avoid a lynch, or at least remark on the strangeness of Mynd offering himself up. Instead he just seemed willing to "go along with the plan". Very scummy there.
