Vin had won her first battle but she still didn´t feel comfortable with this world. Her allomancy just didn´t work like it used too. It was something with this place, this Black Tower, that scared her. But she couldn´t deny that it was also fascinating. For the hundred time she wished that Kelsier had been able to see it. She missed Elend as well, but he would only distract her if he was here. After all this time he still didn´t understand her need to use her abilities. How could he? He was not an allomancer.

 

She entered the Arena for the second time. She didn´t know her opponent or how he fought but she was ready to battle. It was a young man. She could not see anything special about him but he had won his first battle. They stared at each other for a while and then he said "Ladies first". She took a deep breath, burned pewter and attacked.

 

Riven Earth

Feyd breathed in after the devestating attack. It mattered not--the burning power of the Dune pulsed through him. He took a huge intake of melange, and went after this tricky enemy.

She was strong, but not strong enough. Prescience guided his attack and it landed a critical blow, in almost the same power as hers had done to him.

"No good deed goes unpunished," he muttered. If it kept up like this, he would lose by a hair's bredth.

This one was not as weak as the boy Paul. Not even close. This would be a good fight, no matter what.

Vin screamed out loud. Her clothes, her hair, everything was on fire. She rolled around on the ground and finally the flames disappeared. She stared at him with tears in her eyes. He was not as innocent as he looked. Quickly she grabbed some coins, burned steel and pushed. The coins flew towards him and hit the target.

What madness was this? Strength, he could understand, but coins coming at him from nowhere? Madness.

This one had to be destroyed. His personal shield stopped some of the coins, but he sustained several bruises.

 

However, this one appeared not to have a shield, making his job all the eaiser. He struck out with the crysknife and hit.

Not again! Even though she burned pewter the pain was too much for her. She had to finish him at once or she would loose this battle. She grabbed her glass dagger and attacked.

Oops! I think I´m about to die if I´m not miraculously saved somehow.

Her daggers bit into his flesh. He was nearly finished. He had to end this, and now.

He took a deep breath of melange, and closed his eyes. He span around and threw the crysthknife, hoping.

He was rewarded with a satisfying thunk.
