The biggest thing I find interesting in the nightstrike case is his fence sittiing on Basel compared to his strong defense of BG. How do those two things add up?

What is the point of doing this NS? It's really useless without cases supporting your list.

R&U, both no game-talk outside game and post activity. I would like to point out though Kae that the game was 38 pages long when I joined, so I'll be behind the whole game probably. But 7 isn't enough at all.

 

Night really is pinging me hard now. It might just be newbie townie falling to pressure (god knows I've done that, and that was "just" Despo pushing on me)), or newbie scumster with no team online atm the coach him. My gut is leaning more on the latter.

Nah, just kidding It wasn't that hard, but I'm not sure if any of you long-time players even remember how it is being new at this game :P It's easy to get freaked out when a player you know has played a long time and is seen as a good player by others, starts pushing you. In hindsight I could have easily gotten out of that no problem if I'd stayed calm and kept a cool head, but I freaked and it got me in hot water :P I only wish I had actually been scum so I had a reason to freak out, lol

Then the last couple of posts really strike me as odd. First he says if ANY of the people he put on his list are town he hopes town loses?

 

 

Then he gets even weirder.

I've gotta say this, and usually I hate anyone throwing this idea out there, but at this point Nightstrike is acting more jesterish than anyone else I've ever seen act.

 

Nightstrike, if you really are town, I suggest taking a few and calming down. Not EVERYONE that pressures you is mafia, if you're town. Could just be misguided townies man. Your behavior has stuck out as odd, so people commenting on it shouldn't come as a surprise

Night, it's established fact in mafia games! If you want people to take your suspicions seriously, you gotta show a case. Anycone can throw out a name and say "this person is iffy, let's lynch him", because at some point in the game everyone does at least 1 thing that can be seen as iffy. But to catch scum, you gotta show a pattern of bad behaviour. And yes, you gota do the work, get the quotes, explain what YOU read in the quotes; because what you think and what I think when reading a post can be wastly different! But if you put up a good case, then I might see things in a new light, and agree with you.

Despo and Red seemed to disagree who to go after a couple of pages back. Maybe indicative of that they're not on the same team, at least if one of them isn't town. If both are town, then I suppose it means absolutely nothing. Nolder has argued for not pursuing the issues with EP that has taken so much time and effort, so I think I should consider him a likely townie. Those that have spent a lot of space on those issues could be on the scum team, as someone else pointed out. Nolder, perhaps?

 

This is the post Red is talking about, linking Nol and EP. Bolded part reads to me: if Nol says EP is town then he must be.

I hope you and red are both scum. Who is "him" if not Nolder? If those who wanted to leave the issues in question should be considered townies, then how in the whole world would that mean they've said anything whatsoever about EP?

 

Here's where I think confusion is coming in. "him" in that sentence could just have easily be EP which is how I interpreted it. Pronouns:tricky little bastards that will trip you up every time.

 

But here's the thing. Why didn't you just ask for clarification of how Red was coming to that conclusion (about linking Nol and EP) instead of screaming that she was lying with every single post. There's better ways to handle pressure being put on you than what you're doing.

 

And as far as well would his {theoretical} mafia team mates let him behave like this? Well if they thought it helps him look like newbie (which he is) town then hell yes they would.

Well, I know who I'm voting tomorrow for sure, I don't think I've seen more scummy behaviour ever. You refuse to give a case, even after several players have adviced you that it'll make you look like scum? You are not gonna survive long in any mafia with that attitude Night. In some ways I feel bad for you, I'm fresh to mafia myself, but at least I had sense to listen to the veteran players to learn how the game is played.

 

May I ask why you are acting like this? Are you sick of the game and don't want to play anymore? If so, as Key&Kae to replace you. Wether you are town or mafia, what you are doing now is hurting your team, and not just your team, the whole game. This stinks even more than EP's "tactis" at the start of the game. You are just being a s***ty player right now.
