You definitely skip out on games, as far as keeping track of Night Actions and claims and whatnot. It's not just that you fail to scumhunt.

 

And as for the "I have 0% experience scumhunting" card, that's whack yo. You don't even TRY to scumhunt. By posting more and at least TRYING to talk about which player's behavior seems strange to you, you'd be able to gain experience. If you said something seemed strange to you, and others explained that that wasn't a good scumhunting technique, you could learn from that and try something different.

 

More importantly tho, even if you had a hard time figuring out how to play, if you at LEAST paid attention to the games you were in, you could learn various scumhunting techniques by watching how others play.

 

Don't make excuses man, just don't sign up if you don't plan on committing to the game.

Des, one the one hand, revealing early can be a good strategy - you're right that the strength of a mason is in being confirmed town. But, like any other confirmed town, if you reveal very early, you'll likely get killed early. In this game, we simply didn't have time to kill you, but that's the danger in that. I've been on a scum team before with masons who were pretty much confirmed, and we didn't kill them early enough - came back to bite us in the foot later. If scum is smart, they'd kill masons as soon as possible.
