thing is im wondering how you expect Lenlo to do more then respond about why people are voting him when most of what is going on is aimed at him?

useless spam? THIS from EP?

the first day always starts with a bunch of "useless spam" and really until the first person is lynched and we get a report it is ALL spam because it is all supposition unless someone does a Rand and gives themselves up.

Shinori do you answer questions directed to you?

It isn't spam once we start scum hunting, all spam is useless mine yours anyones. Once we start looking anyone not aiding is a hinderence. Instead of constantly questioning why him, he could be looking at those not voting, or those on "joke votes" still looking for thoughts.

While I agree with you that Lenlo could try casing others a bit more, I still find it kinda ridiculous that you're acting like you never spam when game discussion is going on, when I've had to scold you about that in the past.

Anyways, I'm not saying that I def think Lenlo is town; his play honestly could be that of a third party type player that was trying to look spammy and silly and thus hopefully go by unnoticed (which obv didn't work so well, if that was the case), but from everything I've seen, I'm fairly confident that his lynch has been scumdriven. This seems even more likely considering that the other player receiving pressure could be a symp, so mafia might be trying to drive Lenlo's lynch to help protect one of their own.

I never said I don't spam, I haven't in this game yet but overall I enjoy spam. I was just labling his posts what they were.

Lol this is classic. EP giving advice on how to play mafia.

Never said it wasn't, but if I'm not allowed to play in the way that I would get the most enjoyment out of it is there a point to playing?

Okay, but if your preferred style of play is constantly hurting your team, shouldn't you try to curb some of your erratic play to try and help the greater good, instead of just selfishly satisfying your own wants?

I'm a selfish man what can I say?

If that's how you really feel, EP, then I'm of half a mind to enact a policy lynch on you.

It's a team game, play with your team or don't play.

1 person cannot policy lynch on their own. Most people are used to my style and mostly ignore it.

And noone sees a problem with that...

I don't, because I can sometimes slip in pertenant information in between spam

I'm fine with spam. The problem I see is that you're willing to play against your team if it will make you happier.

EP that's my problem with you. You 'can' slip in pertenant info? Why not just tell us the info? Why not just help your team play like a town? And you get off calling other people scummy? That's the nest joke ive heard all week.

Oh and earlier when you said scumhunting is protown thing you can do on D1, not when your a scum pushing BS lynches on townies it isn't.

I'm pretty sure once I start modding games, if EP signs up for them I'm going to continuously give him the role of Miller till he gets the point.

Starting audit btw

I dislike posting things bluntly and I enjoy a good bit of back and forth banter. You slip the info in then it's there maybe your team will pick it up maybe not but posted it right out then both teams pick it up.

Scum does do that I wont lie, but town needs to scum hunt whether you think a scum is pushing an easy lynch or not should not stop you from scum hunting.

Well, I'm inclined to say Len is town. Same with Des.

I like Des's case on Shinori, but since she's new to DM, I'm not sure if she's new to mafia.

Something about some of the posts that said I was truly just discussing game mechanics struck me as off, but I can't put my finger on it.

I knew my comment would draw some reactions, I didn't think it would be as damning as it seems to be to some people. Next time, I'll make sure to discuss the possibility before the game starts (actually, is that technically allowed?)

That will be fun, I'll just make my first post be "Hey guys I'm a miller" to save a view.

Well this post is off, how would one discuss the possibilities of a game that has not started and have not recieved a role for?

I'm saying that you could discuss the possibilities freely without concern over how it would make you seem, as you do not have a role.

However...my theory was based on the OP, by which time I believe Role PMs were going out.

Yeah I'm thinking Mr Snow is scum.

Oh and mr Des is playing a bit off his meta. He seems awfully pro town and I always get a scum read on him.

You trying something new Des?

If I'm not mistaken, I believe I've seen Shinori play mafia on DM before. I think it was another WOT-themed one, as a matter of fact.

How could you have discussed game mechanics before details or hints, like those found in the OP, had been released yet?

And honestly I've found your reaction to pressure to be actually somewhat townie, but the recent number of people defending you, as well as the fact that I know you have a steep learning curve as far as mafia goes and may be able to fool me, make me still concerned about you.

lol this post is hilarious. How am I supposed to respond to this? Want me to play scummier for you, hehe? You're basically saying I seem more town than usual, which is pretty much the "too townie" technique and one I find to be really weak to try and use. As I said, of course scum are gonna come out trying to look protown just as much as as townies will, so the too town argument is about as null of a tell as it gets.

And honestly, I think most honestly just struggle to get good reads on me. Wombat for instance, pretty much always thinks I'm scum, and has never once been right, yet he is a very skilled mafia player. A lot of other players often find me scummy and are wrong. There are exceptions tho- both Ithi and Turin are very good at reading me. Prob cause they know me a bit better than most, but still... I hate being scum in a game where they're town. You notice in BG's game that just ended, I came out pretty strong against Ithi, and was defending a GF fairly heavily day 1, yet Ithi never really thought I was mafia after that? Yet you thought I was, and ended up vig killing me I believe. Thanks for that btw.

Anyways, the point is your post kinda stinks. I pretty much always come out trying to show myself as protown, whether I'm mafia or not, but also try to not look too townie cause I have a better chance at avoiding NK's if I have a little bit of dirt on me. You trying to say I look more town than usual, when it's still early in the game, tells me you might be trying to get mafia to target me.

Are you one of the Forsaken loose, trying to stir trouble and take out town leaders?

Posted

Des, people defending me doesn't say anything either way. Let's say that I hit the nail on the head, and there are symps. Maf wouldn't know if I was one.

Also, I haven't seen people defending me. All I've seen is people not believing the case on me; very different than defending me.

Well firstly there have been a few that have defended you. Anyone who comes forward and says something to the tune of "I don't think John's slip was a slip" or something to that effect, can basically be seen as defending you. I pointed out some of those earlier tonight.

Obv there is some wifom here, as people defending you doesn't automatically make you scum, or them scum for that matter. But mafia have two reasons to come out in support of someone that suggests the possibility of symps. The obvious reason is that they might want to defend a possible teammate, but alternatively they also know that if they defend that person, and they flip town, they might earn a little bit of townie cred.

However that wifom is secondary to the wifom of whether or not you truly are a symp, or possibly a mafia that was trying to send a signal to other symps out there. Which is why for now I will still continue to leave my vote where it is.

New to DM only in spider mafia here. Try again. I'm not new to mafia though in general I plan on another site constantly.

I like how a case popped up on me but Lenlo has yet to say anything on it. He's only made two posts seeming to tunnel EP since this started. >Bro town totally.

Fine let me put it this way. What has lenlo done so far even counting after this point in time that scumhunting as begun and all that jazz that says town player? This was brought up once but since it was brought up what has Lenlo done to change peoples opinions? They aren't commenting on the supposed case people have against me.

Also I'm a guy.

Shinori is English not your first language? It's a little tough to make out exactly what you're saying. From what I can gather tho, it honestly is making me want to switch my vote to you even more.

You seem to have a pretty defensive tone there. "Supposed" case against you?

And like I said, it's still way too early to be throwing out the "What has Lenlo done that is pro-town" thing. It's friggin day 1. Seems you're a little too eager to get him lynched, using lazy scumhunting techniques.

I need to catch up here.

From just the last page or two, I don't see anything out of the ordinary with EP. Such is his style. Despo seems like his usual self to me, and John seems a bit iffy.

I'll read back to gather some more thoughts.
