My original intent was to wait it out a bit and see what happens, see if I could glean any additional information. If I was killed N1, the other individual who knows the whole story would know who to put the spotlight on. However, knowing that we ALMOST just lost our D2 and not knowing what the other cards will do, there's a very real possibility that if it was a bad scum slip, my partner and I could both be dead very quickly. I will go ahead and put the information out there. Like I said, I don't know what to make of it, which is why I haven't said anything.

All I know is that if I die and it turns out that Len was mafia, I'd feel like a complete idiot for not putting out there what I suspect.

 

I debated whether or not to say it at all, but when Nol announced the Chance card that we thought we'd gotten, I realized that if Len is mafia and I was killed N1, and N2 actions were submitted quickly enough, the only other person who could tell that story might be killed as well. By the time I finished drafting the post I saw that the card vote was being redone so I reworded the post. Still, anything could happen with another Chance or Community Chest card draw, and it was better to put it out in the open.

In my experiences playing Monopoly, Community Chest tends to be the safer option, as there's less of a chance that you are likely to get penalized by drawing a card. The downside is, of course, the rewards aren't as high. Safe on Day 1 has its merits, but hey, why not go for broke? We already decided that we're going to draw a card, so might as well go big or go home. Vote: Chance.

Nah, but anyone can say that we should've chosen Community Chest in hindsight. We don't know what that card was and we probably won't know. So there's no use lamenting about what could have been. We just gotta deal with it. It's not all doom and gloom. There's two potential cop views, two doc protects, as Lenlo pointed out. We're going to have a lot of information come day phase - we just have to figure out what to do with it. Even the kills will be informative because they'll give insight as to what the mafia might be thinking. Sure, it sucks to be down two townies right off the bat. But there's info to be had.

Okay, I'm going to ask nicely and politely, but EP, and other random offenders (but mostly EP), can you please try to curb the spammage at least when active game discussion is going on? I have no problem with spamming when there's not much going on anyways, but Tress revealed a pretty huge piece of info, and instead of instantly seeing everyone's reactions and such, there's still post after post of you and David spamming. It's not only somewhat annoying, but there's no way you can justify it as a town move when it's completely getting in the way of the game discussion.

 

Also EP, I don't like how once you felt you weren't on the hot seat anymore, you started spamming like crazy again. You had me starting to back off my feelings that you were scum when you were actually casing and, y'know, doing townie stuff. You seem to have stopped caring about that completely.

 

David..... gah I just don't know what to say. Try not to be so.... helpless and confused? Also, take the EP love to a thread somewhere or something, he's friggin FOS'ing you and you're following after him like a little lost puppy.

 

And I'm sorry if I sound like a dick, but my patience with newer players only goes so far, and many newer mafia players have not gotten on my nerves NEARLY as much as wunderkind over there.

Okay, now that THAT'S out of the way, back to other game thoughts.

 

Thank god there was that slip-up and we got a redo on the card thing (the mafia team's QT must haz a LMAO), cause I was really upset for a bit.

 

You'd think that, as the dissenting opinion, being constantly proven right would come with some sort of gratification or something, but meh not so much. I'd much rather win.

 

Think people. Taking risks and such just for the heck of it is for Ithi's Fighting Fantasy games, in mafia if you're not making a move to help town, you're hurting it. Voting chance for an unnecessary risk was seriously dumb. As was ending the day so early when we still had plenty of time to pressure others and gather info. Bah! Sheeple.

Frankly, I'll need to hear a LOT more from Lenlo in his defense for me to not want to see him hung up tomorrow. The first part was perhaps just coincidental or something, about him twirling a moustache and such, but the other part? Nothing sits well with me about that at all.

 

To me, it looks like Lenlo slipped and thought he was in the mafia QT for a sec or something. Maybe Mr. Monopoly doesn't get to communicate with his railroad barons or something, and Lenlo thought that that QT would help him find them. I dunno. All I know is it's REALLY not looking good for Lenlofinger tomorrow.

It actually wasn't the apology or the "ZOMG I cursded!" stuff that made me back off, it was one thing he said that for now I'll keep under wraps, and the fact that he actually started casing others. I still think the meltdown was completely uncalled for, and I really didn't like the ninja hammer that he pulled off. He did it completely for spite and laughs, and neither of those seem anywhere close to townie-style motivations to me.

I haven't seen her come out and claim mason per se, but what she 's referring to basically amounts to the same thing. Masons are fairly common in large games like this.

I'm not per-say a newer player I've been playing for awhile, I was still posting seriously with the jokes, I said what I needed to say on the Lenlo thing, Lenlo dies plain and simple that's the only way to sort this shenanigans out, also Tress claimed neighbors not mason it's not quite the same as neighbors could be scum but she is claiming that her and her neighbor recieved each other's alignment. I had suspected Lenlo early in the game my WoT can back that up, but I think he calmed down due to realising his slip in the neighbor thread

 

The spam is just amusing as I know what I wish to persue in the morning, Lenlo or David has to go, and I say build competeing trains on both. I have nothing to lose so I'm haveing fun.
