Wow *shakes head* I've got some thoughts on this but with my propensity to getting night killed lately I'm going to wait til it's day again to voice them. But WOW.

What happened later...

 

After the scene in the throne room, everyone's nerves were frayed to their limit. Speculation ran rampant as they tried to piece together what they could about Darthe, but after all that had happened, a good night's sleep wouldn't come easy. As everyone was dismissed back to their rooms, the king sighed. He knew that he couldn't take much more of this.

 

Locked safely away in her room, AJ collapsed into a heap on the bed. She had had it up to the ceiling with all of the accusations flying about - especially because nobody could explain why they were accusing those people in the first place. She wanted it all to just go away. "Who knows?" she thought to herself, "this all could be just one big nightmare."

 

She tried pinching herself to see if that would work. Nope. She felt it. All the more reason that she wanted to get this gruesome task over and done with as quickly as she could. She was so wrapped in thought that she didn't notice the wall turn and a woman dressed all in red enter silently into the room. A clang startled her from dream land and she noticed the woman for the first time. She was tall and had a commanding presence that filled the room. And she was flanked by servants - servants that didn't look like they were very friendly. She couldn't quite connect the dots, because she was still daydreaming, but she thought she felt someone pick her up off the bed. Then it became real. She looked the woman right in the eyes, terrified what was about to happen to her. The last words she heard were "OFF WITH HER HEAD!"

 

Meanwhile, Rand was hoping that tomorrow would bring a new day. After Darthe's death, he was quite shaken, but he had used the time since then to put together a plan for tomorrow. A plan that he felt would bear fruit. He stared out the window at the beautiful stars out in the night sky. He wished he could have been out there, instead of cooped up inside the castle, but he knew that circumstances would not allow it. He'd just have to make the best of it. Sighing, he turned and climbed into bed. Maybe if he laid in bed, he could fall asleep and forget all about this crazy task until morning.

 

Sometime during the night, Rand was awakened by a loud noise coming from inside the fireplace. Scared, he pulled the covers up and hoped that he was just imagining things. But try as he might, the thought that something was there would not go away. In the darkness, he couldn't see whether there was anything to be afraid of or not. So he did what he thought was sensible and climbed out of bed to go and investigate. But what seemed sensible turned out to be a huge mistake.

 

"So there you are, you nosy little crab. I think Ariel would enjoy...crab rolls, don't you think?" a woman's voice boomed. Before Rand could think to escape, he felt dark tentacles wrap themselves around his body. They began to squeeze him hard enough so that he had trouble breathing.

 

"Struggle, keep struggling. This will make it all the more sweeter in the end," the woman replied. She held him there for some time, never tightening her grip enough to kill. No, she was far too fastidious for her work. Finally, she tired of playing with Rand. She released him, and just when he thought he might be able to escape, he felt a drowning sensation in his lungs. The woman walked away laughing to herself. That was the last thing he heard.

 

AJ (Simba) Vanilla Town, has been night-killed.

Ok..for my thoughts now that it is daytime. Two people at the end of yesterday really struck me. First it was EP. He unvoted Song late in the day when it was getting close to the deadline. This could be seen as an attempt to do 3 things.

 

1) If Song is scum, it creates distancing by first placing a vote on her.

 

2) Then removing the vote makes it look as though a lynch on Song won't be possible so it would encourage players to vote Basel..even if they don't find him scummy just to get a lynch in.

 

3) Since it was so close to the deadline it creates the scum teams best result. A random lynch with no report. Meaning we can't gleam any information from the lynch.

 

Nolder's behavior struck me as well. I don't want to come across as OMGUSing here but he did start the ball rolling by trying to start a new train at almost the late yesterday..causing last minute confusion. To be honest, I'm getting more of an SK feel from him than mafia. He has been strange all game. Maybe he is doing some weird role playing thing.

 

I am going to VOTE NOLDER. Cause if he is an SK he is way more dangerous to town at this late stage of the game. depending on Darthe's alignment, if we have another 2 night kill...the game could be over.

What confusion? Everyone who was around knew what was going on

We couldn't have reached a majority even if I had voted Basel so the point of whether I should have voted Basel or not is moot

Well if you'd ever played with Jack you'd know not everyone relies on logic and reason at all times

He plays with his gut more often than not and he's surprisingly good at it

 

I try to play with logic and reason whenever I can but right now I'm feeling it in my gut and I'm going to go with that

Besides a late hammer is not an unknown tactic for scum to use
