Interested in being a co-mod

I am fairly new to mafia. I'm currenly playing my 3rd and 4th games. I am really enjoying it! I am interested in eventually modding a game, however would like to be a co-mod first. I figure it's the best way to begin my experience. If anyone is interested in letting me be a co-mod for them please let me know.

If nothing else, do what I did: create a setup yourself and get an experienced person to be your mentor.

Thanks! I just want to see how one is run from behind the scenes before I try to take one on. I'm getting ideas though from games I've followed or have played.

It's not hard to mod a game. Put yourself down in the basic game queue. I'll co-mod if you like. It'll take a while for you to reach the top. In the meantime, you can play a few games to watch how it's done. If you want to study the art of mafia game crafting, hop on over to www.mafiascum.net and read the wiki and mafia discussion forum. They take it a bit seriously, but that can be a good thing at times.

 

All modding a basic game entails is inventing a basic setup (1 part mafia to 3 part townie, with a few power roles sprinkled in for extra goodness, which you can talk about with your co-mod), sending out role pms, and doing vote counts. It's something you learn by doing, not by watching.

Fair enough. Your first game should be a basic game, so nothing too complicated: a few mafiosi, some townies, a cop and a doc. You can be a little more complicated than that, but there's no need. Modding that will prepare you for the more complex games.
