If mafia get my power they wont be able to get rid of a power unless the person reveals that day (paddy says that the role goes through before the shuffle)

Player could use his ability on himself to keep it out of mafia hands which what he does with his ability will either vet him as town or mafia, that way Mynd could be lynched to eliminate his role and when we find out tomorrow who lost their role and is now vanilla we can determine what Player did. I do not have a read on Mynd or Alanna as far as alignment I just dont think it would be wise to let Mynd's role stay in.

What if player is mafia? You seem pretty convinced he isn't. In the longer term, player's role is the most dangerous in the game. Mynd's role could be more profitable to mafia day 1, but from day 2 not so much (since they won't know who's got what role). Player's role can be used by mafia every single night, which makes it much more dangerous.

 

The only way I can interpret your post logically, Phoenix, is with you being mafia and knowing Player isn't. I wanna hear from others, though, since I don't know (yet) if eliminating a mafia is better than eliminating a role. For now, I'll just unvote.

man I'm bad at math so I'm not sure how to actually say this so bear with me for a sec here

most mafia games have 20-30% scum

I personally tend to aim for 25% but it isn't a hard rule I abide by

25% of 14 people is 3.5

I'm going to round that down to 3 since I think with all the weird roles and whatnot CP would be more likely to put in less mafia than more

 

here's where I get kind of confused because I need to take into account you might be scum and that two people will be dead by morning (I'm going to assume both are townies)

so uhh that would leave us with 3/12 people or 2/12 people? unless you can get your same role back because of random chance but I have no idea if it works like that or not. I'm going to pretend it doesn't.

3/12 is 25% and 2/12 is something like 16.6%

 

I think if you average that together you get something like 20%

so I guess that's what the chances are?

I probably did that completely wrong

I haven't been in school for four years now and even when I was I always struggled with math

but yeah

on the offchance I'm somehow right or even close those aren't odds I'd like to bet on when I have a sure thing right in front of me

besides we have no idea if Mynd is mafia anyway

I have no read on player either honestly I was just saying that would be the ideal situation, if player turns out scum then he obviously isnt going to use it on himself but if he turns up town then same situation as me I actually have an idea to trap mafia if they get my role. VOTE PANDA UNVOTE now no lynchproof tomorrow, if the mafia get my role then there will obviously be 2 non voters to make us guess who is the lynchproof giver and who isnt but both will be mafia, I have just made my role useless to this game for the mafia as the town wont activate my role with the chance of it going to mafia

^this it would be a bonus if he flipped scum as all he has contributed this game is that he loves his role... I'm thinking he may be mafia resigned to the obvious day 1 lynch, had we not gotten a who submitted what role day one would have gone a lot more difficult I believe trying to figure out what went where and what we want to keep out of the mafia's hand the most.

We have 3/14 we kill a mafia today, and no chance at all one is killed tonight (assuming only 1 mafia team here). which would mean 3/14 * 16.6% + 11/14 * 25% = 23.2% chance mafia gets that role tonight.

So far it seems to me that today is about which role we want to get rid of while we know who has what, so I'm going to vote Piano because his role has so much destructive potential in Mafia hands.

I think depending on the answer to my question to Pandy will determine weather I go Mynd or Player if we dont get reads from mod about which roles get burned out I say vote player, if we do get reads from mod I say vote Mynd as we can see if Piano was telling the truth about using the ability on himself as a last resort. but until my question is answered UNVOTE
