Actually, I have another reason for voting Basel. I was in a hurry when I posted that. I don't like his questioning Mynd's WIFOM the way he did. Only someone going to target Mynd or Pandy would care. Granted, there are other ways to target a player besides killing, but it's the most scummy thing I've seen so far.

EP, I have backed up my case against you, both with your bit about not knowing what your team is, but the first post by you I have above also pinged me. It just strikes me that you are making a point to mention that you are town. This is a whole lot more than has been done with the case against me, actually.

Which leads me to conclude that either you aren't all that confident of your power, despite being the one to submit it, or you are lying to us about who you are using the power on. Christine, if you haven't yet submitted anything to check for lies, this may be a good one to look at.

Actually, I am fine with an EP lynch. The over-compensation for trying desperately to be town combined with his claim to have the bus driver power. That is a terrible power to have in this game especially with all of the other nastiness. I say we lynch EP and get rid of the Bus Driver power.

Lil, I don't see how you could think this was the least bit scummy. Are you telling me that you don't find it odd that a bus driver would announce to everyone who he was using his power on? Mynd made it know that he was switching himself and Pandy, so that the whole thread knew that if they wanted to target Mynd with anything, all they had to do was target Pandy. This kind of makes his power totally pointless, since a bus driver's power doesn't strike me as the sort of thing that is all that effective if it isn't used in secret. It seemed like the only reasonable explanation was that Mynd was laying down some kind of WIFOM, and possibly lying about who he really did use his power on, so that anyone wanting to target Mynd would aim for Pandy, and actually get someone else while thinking the results come from Mynd. If you think this is the mark of scum, then you so completely lost me that I need a map.

 

I have no idea who to LD. Any suggestions?

 

Then there is this. Christine asked for suggestions on what to LD on the first night. I saw something that I thought could be a lie, and I said that it might be worth it to LD what Mynd had said here. If she asked for suggestions, then how is giving her one scummy?

When I was looking through roles to submit, the wiki discussed this as being generally useless for scum, since a one-for-one trade is better for town due to the numerical advantage. The scenario you mentioned is brought up as a rare time when scum can use it to good effect. What I've really been curious about, that won't be settled in this game since there seems to be just the one scum team (given the number of players), is whether scum would find it more useful against other scum.

 

Seems to make a point of trying to point out that he was trying to help the town before he even knew if he would be a townie or not.

That may be so, Pandy, but if you don't have a vote, you shouldn't count yourself when figuring the number of players needed for a majority. That gives scum an unfair advantage by making deadlocks more likely and creating no-lynch-friendly situations, which means balance is all shot to hell from what I can see. If you hadn't been counting yourself, majority would be 7 out of 13, meaning we would have already had a lynch and no one should have had to switch their vote last minute to make a hammer.

Hmmm you raise a good point. Mynds WIFOM was scummy, but as always, an in-depth analysis merely makes WIFOM worse.
