A little eager to focus teh spotlight, eh, lenlo? We can't afford to rule out any possibilities, including the fact that this is town v town.

That is a possibility, Maw. I'm very tentative about saying 100% about nearly anything at this point, because people have been confounding my expectations left and right this game.

@ Len: I'm expecting this will take me several posts to work through. No worries BG, I won't be hiding behind WoTs tonight, my notes have fallen behind and it's not all organized at my fingertips to multiquote and come to easy conclusions. May work better this way, who knows.

Right now going through my reads on everyone who's left and trying to define things a bit better. Some people I need to re-read for.

Posted

Let me start with this, because this was the direction I was planning to head D4 before I got sidetracked... This is a big question in my mind, and I haven't come to a good conclusion yet.

I'm going on the assumption that as town symp, Tina was on the mafia QT -- I've thought about it from several different angles, and nothing else really makes sense to me. That being the case, I'm trying to pick up on whatever clues I can by what she said and did...

BG's an interesting case, because Tina came out swinging pretty hard against him D1, and continued pressing him into D2, before she was killed N2. If she was on the mafia QT but symping for town, the question is, would she have cased a townie right off the bat, or would she have started right in on one of her teammates and tipped her hand that they couldn't trust her? I just don't know which way she would have gone there. At one point she said she was more interested in voting for BG than AH. At another point, she said she was willing to vote BG, Soy, or Kae. Soy and Kae have flipped town... so does that mean she was making cases on townies and biding her time until she could drop more hints about who was mafia?

While I'm on the subject of BG, I'm also curious about BG's assertion here that the second killer is a SK and not a vig, because the death came during the day. I don't claim to have a wealth of mafia experience, but everything I've read with role descriptions and previous games would suggest that if the kill is during the day, it's more likely to be a vigilante than an SK. That second kill occurred only N1 and D3, and nothing since.

Do you have any further thoughts to share about that second kill, BG? Or is there anyone else who can shed light on either of the extra kills?

I'm not really certain what Tina's angle was. Also, to be completely honest, I was a bit confused as to why she didn't vote me Day 2.

I assumed SK cause of Soy dying. Seemed like an odd Vig choice. I didn't make that very clear in that post though as my thoughts kinda ran together.

What I want to know is if anyone else tried targeting Tress ever? If Basel RB'd Tress then others should have been able to successfully Target her... if a commuter can be RBd that is. Or their action would have theoretically failed.

Also where's AH?

BG - I wondered specifically whether my commute ability could be RB'd as I was concerned about being forced to role claim and having a mafia RB and mafia NK tossed on me the same night.

At this point I figure they've either tried it already, don't have an RB to use on me, or it's too late to worry about it.

More thoughts...

AH: I really have no idea. She's been mostly not here due to IRL stuff, and then popping in and contributing summaries without much analysis. Big question mark, and I'm not fond of question marks at this point in the game.

Maw: I'm getting a town vibe from Maw. Confused, but town.

Posted

Dont know havent seen her in awhile. Seeing the way things have turned out, with losing so many town, I think I should be a reread tomorrow. For now I'm going to take some asprin and hope this headache goes away.

Oh right, ishy, you're still alive. While we're on the subject, I don't trust you. I forget if i had a specific reason, but you smell fishy to me.

I think that's his natural smell. Kind of a putrid anchovy I think.

Ishy: Gotta say he's pinging me. Some of it's minor things, like his sudden change in "policy" from EP in the Mistborn game to Kaylee here in this one on giving newbies some slack on more than just day 1... His somewhat aggressive response to my teasing question if he was scum during Drunk Mafia here... And this post right here - as if he was expecting to be NK'd...

And come to think of it, why would he expect to be NK'd, since he hadn't really FOS'd anyone... or for that matter contributed any game related thoughts except for adding to the weight of townie lynches in progress.

Yeah, it's not a great case. It's more of a gut intuition with him, which is not all that helpful. I'm a little surprised he hasn't said a word about finding me suspicious yet, to be honest.

And thank you DM for the ninja warning. Does he buy my story because he knows 100% I'm town?

So Ishy dear, who do you think is scum?

Posted

Basel: One of the two people who specifically stated he thought Tina was town, when Tina noted at least one person pointing her out as town was probably scum (and I'm assuming she'd know). Specific things said during both the Hoof and Soy lynches struck me as off, and now he's trying to lynch me. WIFOM all over the place, I know, but I have been expecting at least one of the mafia to try making a case on me since they can't NK me, and I believe Basel's the one. I expect they waited until today because if we mislynch, they've most likely got this one in the bag. Basel was the one casting doubt on whether the real commuter was in the game or Razen's "back up commuter" role was just a red herring.

Kaylee: The other of the two people who specifically stated Tina was town. Most posts have been bandwagoning or information without analysis. Some have struck me as possibly coached. Getting a scum read here.

Sorry guys. Last few weeks of classes=all of the projects and papers *dies* in any case, I don't have the time to do a full reread right now, so going off of what I remember:

I think the day kill might have just been a one shot thing. I've seen it before in other games. As for alignment of the shooter, I'm not sure. Boyo had been seeming odd to a lot of people, and had been confirmed as unlynchable once. It really could have been any party. In one game I watched there was a 3rd party player who had one day kill and one night kill. I'm really not sure

Surrounding Tina. I'm interested to know how she would have been converted. She was killed N2. Now in some games, a symp is recruited during the night phase when the killer of the party (be it the Vig or whatever mafia role has the kill) targets the symp. The kill fails and the person is recruited instead. This possibly isn't the case with Tina because that was the night we had two kills N1. Perhaps there's another role whose specific purpose was to look for her. I'm not sure.

As for the her vs. BG thing, I remember not thinking that what BG said was enough to condemn him, but he has been on the other end of a lot of drama this game and that is intriguing.

Tress: will get to later

Ishy: don't remember much of importance... He did a couple of hammers according to one of BG's posts. Not quite sure what to think

BG: As I said, has been on the other end of a lot of drama. Could possibly vote him today.

Heart: SPARKLES

Basel: will get to later

Mawth: I believe it was Key who voted him because she she was getting purely town vibes from him. I admit I haven't noticed him this game

Lenlo: don't remember anything of notice really....

Kaylee: has been around about as much as I have due to feeling sick. I think I read somewhere that she's expecting?

Tress and Basel: Ok lots of Wifom. Since we're not sure of the killing roles, either of their claims and spins on the situation have been true. I've not really noticed Basel this game. Right now, though she is prone to in depth analysis, she's seeming overly desperate for the blame to be elsewhere. Might just be how my tired brain is taking it, I'm not sure.

For now I Vote Tress. Might change it tomorrow at lunch when I should have time to reread and am awake enough to think clearly

More of an OMGUS type of case, but Maw. If he'd like to accuse me of being scum, why can't he make a case? A gut feeling, he says. On Day five. After four days and nights, you can't provide a post, a statement, something?

And Tress, I stand behind my newbie policy. Had Kay done something I found voteworthy, I'd be all over it. But posts full of "I agree" and "Okay" and "I have a headache, will see you all tomorrow" just doesn't ping me. Maybe you read something into that but I don't. But then again, you're the Mafia savant, not me. Plus, you know her way better than I do. Do those sound like coached posts to you?

Posted

Quoted for emphasis:

So Ishy dear, who do you think is scum?

Give me something to work with here. I hate to doubt you, darlin'.

Posted

But then again, you're the Mafia savant, not me.

Shh, you need to stop that talk. You're jinxing me, i swear!

Lenlo: I'm not getting a solid read one way or the other here. I even did a re-read, and still... not sure. This actually worries me a bit, because I could be vastly wrong on someone and he might just be the wild card nobody's paid that much attention to.

That's one time through my list...

I have another 10 hour work day tomorrow with very little time to check in on the thread... I'm not going to place a vote yet, because I'm very concerned about how close to losing it we are, and I want a little more clarity. My best bet right now is Basel, because I sincerely believe that the claim of RB'ing me on the night there was no kill is the mafia's convenient way of explaining around my claim.

So AH, do you doubt I'm the commuter?

Posted

Ok seriously about to fall asleep at this point. I don't recall seeing any solid evidence that you were. Breadcrumbing and such, yes, but you have no proof that mafia tried to target you and failed. Kills have been weird this game

Posted

True, there's nothing I can offer for proof of that nature. I'm not trying to use the lack of NK night 3 to prove my role to be honest. I just happen to believe that's most likely when the scum realized they couldn't NK me and would have to lynch me to get me out of the way.

Do you not think there is a commuter in the game, even though we've seen the back up commuter?
