we can WIFOM all day and and all next week, but it's not really helping us scum hunt. Until someone is lynched it's all theoretical. Can we just take some sort of action instead of mass hysteria gripping everyone so hard they're afraid to move?

 

Yes there are scum in some of the QT's. Yes this means that some of us can't trust our guildmates. How is this any different from a normal mafia game where you can't trust anyone on the game thread, just because the talk is more spread out and compartmentalized doesn't change the fact that this is mafia, someone has to die for us to move forward. SOMEONE vote already!

First, the Chemists.

 

From Ithi (I think this is actually very important information):

"Oh did I forget to mention. I killed Basel. "

"I got a one shot kill and offed him cos I thought he was mafia and the lynch was failing. "

 

From Razen:

"I also think that Ishy is pinging hardcore. I know that DPR said that the Arsonist and the Firefighter aren't the same person, but with the way Ishy reacted in the game thread, I'm thinking that he might not be the firefighter anymore. If the other roles were taken away when they became scum, wouldn't his be taken away as well? Unless of course he was original scum, in which case, he should know who his teammates are.

 

With how hard that Ishy seemed want to avoid a Wombat lynch, I'm convinced that he either knows Wombat is scum with him (which means they are both original scum) or he knows that Wombat is the arsonist. One way, he's scum, the other, he's probably town."

 

To add my own thoughts to that bit, I'm positive Wombat isn't the arsonist, but it's POSSIBLE Ishy and Wombat are scum together. HOWEVER, based on some thoughts coming from Songstress in the Tophat QT, which will come in a separate post in just a bit, I'm actually thinking more that Ishy, if not town, is an automaton, instead of mafia.

"It's clear that Not Bob either got blocked with the kill or didn't have it to start with. Ape is looking scummier and scummier to me now. He outed Bob as another Vig or an automaton. Either way, it serves his game well. If he's scum, he can claim "look, I found an automaton, I must be town!" If he's town, he can claim "we are narrowing down the lynch pool." Either way, I don't like the way that he's focused in on only three people. Ishy is still our big unknown.

 

And people, roleblocker is not exclusively a town role! I'm pretty sure there's such a thing as a mafia roleblocker, and I'm sure that in a game like this, there is the possibility of such a thing occurring. You are following the Ape way too easily for my liking. Someone step up and question him. All he's done is give "blah blah blah - Ishy, Wombat and Not Bob must be scum, lynch them. But he hasn't actually given solid reasoning here. At least, he hasn't in my opinion."

Wombat was RB'ed on N2 - and there was no conversion.

 

Wombat pushed the Sakea lynch.

 

I came out of the gate voting Wombat today, and Ishmael did everything he could to turn my case around on to me. Protecting Wombat.

 

DPR told my QT that there was more than one original scum. Nolder said he was not told who turned him into an automaton. IF Wombat flips scum converter, then its 100% lock that Ishmael is probably another original scum who knows who Wombat is and tried to protect his converter.

 

Not Bob WAS a Vig. He instead of proving he was not converted by shooting Wombat or Ishmael, he chose to pretend he shot me. Which he didn't. Then act like a baby. Indicating that he is an automaton.

 

I don't know what the pause is about here.

She added more thoughts about the person she suspects is the arsonist, but what I posted is the most relevant bit to what's going on right now.

 

@Christine--I've seen all your thoughts about killing original scum. I don't buy it. Since I'm thinking Ishy and the arsonist probably both started town. Why would a town role be able to completely guarantee a mafia win by stopping the arsonist? That would...suck, really. My kill WILL kill OS, because it will ALWAYS go through. True story. So that's not the only way.

He may not have been protecting Wombat, but rather trying to get himself lynched so he could prove his theory that you, Christine, and myself are all scum. Granted, he COULD have been protecting Wombat. But he's making more sense now, and I am actually pretty sure he's willing to go with the lynch on Wombat now.

 

To the second--how do you know Not Bob was ever a vig? Who has he shot? I'll go back and look through the pilots QT to see myself, but I'm suspecting Not Bob might be OS.

So Razen can't follow logic either. "blah, blah, blah" with no solid reasoning? Are you kidding me? I've provided logical scenarios to either catch scum or clear townies. I provided a path to vet Bob and catch 2 scum with one kill re: wombat/ishy. That is why I'm focused on them. I'm proposing our next steps be informed by the information we have, deductive reasoning (which you clearly don't understand) and logic. I never said it was perfect, but its a helluva lot better than shoe-gazing and lynching someone based on "feeling" and no logic. Especially when you look at the numbers and realize we are one or two town deaths away from game over.

 

Someone step up and question him. What are the questions? Everyone that has challenged my plan has provided NO alternative, and no reason not to proceed with it. Because is pragmatic and there is NOTHING else being suggested by any of the other sheep who have followed Wombat this far.

 

Town is getting its ass handed to them. Wombat has been the biggest vocal leader in this game until I got back from the conference. Think about it.

Not Bob revealed as having a gun in our QT. You read it, I assume. I guess, now that I see that Ithi shot Basil, that Bob hasn't shot anyone?

 

If it gets us moving, I'm happy to lynch Not Bob now. Then if he flips scum, you shoot Ishmael tonight. If Not Bob doesn't flip converter, then I'll target Wombat tonight so he is RB'ed and we can lynch him tomorrow. This ensures we take out all 3 in sequence without any new converts, I think.

Hmm...I'm wondering...NotBob never said he shot anyone. So there's no way of knowing if he ever actually had a kill, unless Wes comes back and says he was too busy to post a death scene for the Ape earlier... He may have been a 1-shot vig, too. There were plenty of those in this game, relatively speaking.

 

If NotBob isn't OS, I'm wondering if maybe the Ape is. He mentioned in the QT that he could see Song was breadcrumbing for a finder claim by being upset about the (presumably) last healer in the game being lynched; he seemed very supportive of Song in the QT. I'm wondering if maybe he didn't orchestrate the Song kill to get some of his guildmates taken out.

 

Not to mention we only have the Ape's word for who he targeted what nights. Wombat would have no way of knowing if he was actually jailed or not on N2, unless he DOES have an action and is lying, and no one else has been able to confirm the Ape jailing anyone on any night. Could be a convenient case.

 

I dunno....just very uncomfortable with this whole situation.

The way this train has stalled out makes me all the more comfortable on it. If he was town the mafia would all be piling in here with a hammer. There are so many people on the fence. Can we just pick a course of action and take it, instead of analyzing it for three more days.

I'd be more than happy to lynch Not Bob now...we need to find OS, and at the very least he's probably an automaton by now....

I don't really want to shoot Ishy yet, based on what Christine suggested. I'm not going to blindly follow your entire plan. Bits of it, I agree with. My kill is my own unless we have a consensus on who I should use it on.

There's no need to be rude. I play very much by emotion and instinct, guided by whatever logic I can see--I get the strong feeling, based on his posts in the QT, that Ishy wasn't trying to defend Wombat specifically, per se, and it makes more sense for Ishy to be town, at least at this point.

That's possible, BUT Razen's shot on me didn't get a scene, nor did [insert name here]'s shot at Ithi that was blocked.
