Ok, I believe one point Christine is making. I have no clue who is in my faction and I do belong to a faction - not cult and not unaligned survivor. The rest, I'm not so sure if I'm buying. I've had a massive migraine all day yesterday and really need to go reread through the current day so far before voting. I don't think I'm going to have time before work, so I'll try to do it sometime this afternoon.

So here is the deal.

 

My character is Beric Dondarrion. I am a gunsmith, which is like an inventor, but I'm only able to hand out single-shots day kills. It's kind of like being a vig enabler I guess, with some added EFF ME because the chances are strong I give a gun to someone and they shoot me because I'm me. Anyway, I'm not aligned with a faction. After thinking about it, I realized I'm pretty much a low-odds conversion candidate if I revealed, simply because if I stop handing out guns, it'll be obvious.

 

I have no problem cooperating with the dominant faction, once its established. Which is why I've had no qualms about lynching whoever.

 

On N1 I gave Leelou a gun. Then because I was getting heat from Amega on D2, I got scared she might side with him and shoot me. So I signaled to her that I gave her a gun by saying "I give you banana". When I made it clear to her that I gave her the gun, it was this reaction by Crusher about me having a "sack full of banana's" that pretty much gave away to me that she was able to tell him she got the gun ("banana") from me.

 

On N2, I tried to give a gun to Vic. I got an "action failed" result. Which led me to believe that either Vic couldn't receive the gun, or Crusher/Leelou or someone associated with Leelou who knows I am passing out guns roleblocked me. Notice I came out strong against both Vic and Crusher on D3.

 

I have to imagine Leelou didn't use the gun because she could deny it if I revealed.

 

So, I would make my short list Crusher, Vic and Leelou. I would add Despo to that list as well. Crusher is playing one of the scummiest games I've ever seen from him... for whatever that is worth.

Long story short, Leelou knows I gave her a gun. I got roleblocked the next night, and the next day Vic, Crusher and Despo all made huge attempts to take me out via lynch.

 

Deductive reasoning, I'm guessing Leelou can roleblock - or she can talk to at least one of these guys, I'm leaning Crusher, who can roleblock.

Ok so I got a gun. I didn't use it because I was debating about to test Christine's claim or not. I accidentally held the day up and chose not to use it.

Some factions might be able to speak with limited numbers, while others cannot with greater numbers and abilities. We have no idea how Wombat has reconciled balance in this game. For all the setup talk you've done, you haven't once said anything rooted in logic or reason. You accuse others of making stretch statements when your "I don't like to talk about setup posts" followed by 4 paragraphs of setup talk are a convolution of conjecture and ignorance of the few things we do know about this game so far.

 

I don't think it's that awful to have setup talk in games, especially after a couple of days, and especially when a little setup talk is essential to showing what kind of path we should be taking for "town" victory (read: all Lannisters dead, to start off with )

 

As for the rest, all you're still trying to do is to dismiss my stance as that of some foolish backup who stumbled into the game and never understood what he was reading. Dismiss all you want, it's clear that I've done my homework. So get off your High Horse and go ahead and drop the act.

 

And btw, one thing I recently reread upon, and yes after checking through certain parts it seems Vic is much more likely to be Cult than you or most other people in the limelight (don't really see the cult connection that someone else made personally). But as I said before, with a night which more than likely faces another round of multiple kills, the cult doesn't worry me as much as it would in a regular game. For now I'm completely happy taking as many Lannisters to the grave with me as possible

 

I'm always an aggressive player. I'm not anxious to see anyone killed though. I use my vote and my charming personality to push for information... and stick my neck out pretty damn far, no matter my role or alignment, to get it.

 

So you "use" your vote by flip-flopping in OMGUS fashion, and use your... "charming"... personality to... "push" for information.

Like I said, I was told Leelou got the gun - and she just confirmed it - on N1.

 

On N2, I got the response from Wombat that my "action failed" when trying to give it to Vic - and like I said, it means I got roleblocked, OR gave it to someone who can't receive a weapon. Either way, Crusher took note of me "giving" something to Leelou and Vic was the person I tried to give to the 2nd night. I read my PM and proceeded to play. Unlike people like you that have taken a giant shit on the game with setup talk, I understand that themed mafia games are primarily for flavor. I play the players, not the characters and all the wanking sub-plots from teh books or movies that might have found their way into the setup... because that is all speculative and only useful to scum when they want to mislead town in traditional games.

Well, I said it before but I'll say it again, I do not have a QT, nor have I talked off-thread with anyone about this game, including JN-peeps. The insult I made about you (which I at least thought was kinda funny ) wasn't any huge jump in thought or logic; you talked about what you did that apparently set yourself apart from other mafia players, and I turned it around on you. I think you're just paranoid about the whole JN thing, bro. And I know I am kind of giving you a hard time, but A. it's fun B. it's easy and C. I do think you're the best person to apply pressure to since I think you're a Lannister.

 

It's okay that you don't believe that I come up with my own material, many people have thought the same thing when first playing with me. I guess part of the reason I'm always so suspicious to others has something to do with my amazing grasp of the game that is mafia

Not saying I believe it's you, but maybe one of your fellow Lannisters gave you that false claim to use. Beric Dondarrion pretty much can't be killed in the books, every time he dies this priest friend of his (can't remember the name atm, but he has a flaming sword) brings him back to life. So you claiming that character could be a clever way at trying to keep from having NK's sent your way.

 

As for Ama and Ishy, well Ama I'm not worried about. She always suspects me of something, and I don't think her suspicions have ever hit the mark. Ishy on the other hand, him and Vic are the top candidates I have for cult atm. Vic after my reread, and Ishy on a gut feeling

As for your reveal, not sure I believe the character. The gun thing seems legit, at least it would be a strange thing to lie about, but I think you claimed Beric strategically because you thought people would be less likely to NK you if they thought you might survive it. Too convenient. And revealing at night, when you hope most people are skimming and waiting for day? Yeah I'm still pretty convinced you're a Lannister.

As for what you are saying about why I claimed Beric, I don't even understand what you are implying. I don't know the books, I have no clue of anything about my character. I read my PM and proceeded to play. Unlike people like you that have taken a giant shit on the game with setup talk, I understand that themed mafia games are primarily for flavor. I play the players, not the characters and all the wanking sub-plots from teh books or movies that might have found their way into the setup... because that is all speculative and only useful to scum when they want to mislead town in traditional games.

 

I revealed at night because I have information that could be helpful. I'm not aligned with a faction, so basically I don't care what you guys do with the info. I can't control if I die, but I can put my theory out there and say I told you so if I'm right in the end.

Well, I said it before but I'll say it again, I do not have a QT, nor have I talked off-thread with anyone about this game, including JN-peeps. The insult I made about you (which I at least thought was kinda funny ) wasn't any huge jump in thought or logic; you talked about what you did that apparently set yourself apart from other mafia players, and I turned it around on you. I think you're just paranoid about the whole JN thing, bro. And I know I am kind of giving you a hard time, but A. it's fun B. it's easy and C. I do think you're the best person to apply pressure to since I think you're a Lannister.

 

It's okay that you don't believe that I come up with my own material, many people have thought the same thing when first playing with me. I guess part of the reason I'm always so suspicious to others has something to do with my amazing grasp of the game that is mafia

 

As for Beric, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you haven't read the books I suppose. Not saying I believe it's you, but maybe one of your fellow Lannisters gave you that false claim to use. Beric Dondarrion pretty much can't be killed in the books, every time he dies this priest friend of his (can't remember the name atm, but he has a flaming sword) brings him back to life. So you claiming that character could be a clever way at trying to keep from having NK's sent your way.

 

As for Ama and Ishy, well Ama I'm not worried about. She always suspects me of something, and I don't think her suspicions have ever hit the mark. Ishy on the other hand, him and Vic are the top candidates I have for cult atm. Vic after my reread, and Ishy on a gut feeling

Also, I did some reading about my character - I think being a vig enabler fits the character pretty well, Wombat took a part of this characters story line and aligned it with a mafia role. The end. That's what you have to do as a mod. Don't have to account for every thing that happened to the character ever.

And there's no point in arguing with you about your Lannisterness, or the opinion that Lannister=scum. You think it's a leap in logic, yet others seem to share it as well. I don't expect you to roll over and say "Yes, I'm Lannister, please lynch/NK me now", so just drop the act man. There you go again, hammering on the setup talk issue. I'm not fond of too much set up talk in normal games where the focus should remain on scumhunting, but scumhunting isn't really the goal in this game. It's survival of the strongest, and much of that will be decided by NA's and off-thread QT's, not so much what people discuss on thread.

 

Claiming that character would be akin to claiming Dick Clark in a New Years Eve themed game. For fans of the series, that character is most known for his ability to be resurrected again and again and again. Period. This isn't some crazy mumbo-jumbo speculation on my part, it's a natural, logical conclusion. Now you could well be Baric like you say you are, but it is just as likely that your teammates fed you the false claim because it fits so well in your situation and also possibly lifts potential threats off your head.

 

Mark my words though Ape, it won't remove all threats from your head.

That's all fine and dandy, and Wombat might have chosen to fashion the role that way, but as I just said anyone who has read the series would immediately think he'd prob be bulletproof in a mafia game.
