i'm here, been reading up and want to re-examine Thorums lynch before posting my notes. wont be until tomorrow causez i have to baby sit again tonight

Im getting the impression that even if Meesh and I were on a mafia team together, she would still want me lynched.

We should have lynched Lev. Thorum's lynch didnt give us jack.

Some noises in the night. Normal subjects did not wake until morning whereupon they found one of their number missing (she had been terminated and removed from the experiment).

For BG's vote hopping and out-of-character playstyle on day 1.

VOTE BG

I actually agree with this lynch heartily. BG jumped on the Thorum lynch all too easily.

BG kinda jumped on everyone a little too easily. /: I don't remember him saying anything other than "I can agree with this <vote player here>" without much evidence of a solid opinion of his own. He had traces of one, but abandoned it pretty quickly.

Although, Mynd, after Thorum's town flip and that quick vote, I've grown a bit more wary of you.

I'd vote BG but he kind of needs a chance to come in and speak his mind first. Perhaps the pressure will give him more of an inclination towards actually doing more than mindless wagon-hopping.

I'll unvote and vote red

Two reasons:

- his/her death would reveal most (due to strange behavior by both Mynd and SBoy...)

- levity seems to be getting a vote train against him/her. I don't want that so soon, so I'm adding a second option.

Wow. Levity is getting a train and you "don't want that so soon"? You would feel better about it later in the game? Why is that? And you jump on Red to give her the lead because she will give us info on Mynd and Boyo "Due to their strange behavior"? Why would you not propose lynching one of them? That would give you more info than Red since they are voting for different trains.

This in re-read pings me since it is the first major Thorum ping.

I hereby give leave for everyone to insult my intelligence. I have been married for 12 years, so I'm used to it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

I'll unvote and vote Mynd.

My reasoning has been given by mmeesh:

Mynd can squeeze some good stuff out of people's posts, I'll grant him that, but I think sometimes he makes a big deal out of nothing, or gives false representations of what's going on as part of his accusations toward other people. It's distracting, in those instances.

This is his way of playing, but I believe (as I always have) that it is more often counter-productive, since he wants accusations of his to finish into a lynch, whether or not they touch solid ground. I played like that in the beginning too, so no offense. It just isn't the good way of playing mafia, so it warrants my vote.

As to the "amega-case": it all sums up to him/her being human. I've never played with amega, so don't know how he/she plays, but I've seen stranger behavior before.

I thought Thorum's post where he voted Red was a bit odd. Wanting to keep trains at equal length seems innocuous enough a reason, since I think he was saying that it looked like Levity was going to be the prevailing lynch candidate and he thought it was a bit early for that (personal interpretation there XD)

Correct interpretation.

Uses Meesh's reasoning to vote Mynd. Which in retrospect is fair, but seemed kinda sketchy to me at the time. This also has the side effect of unleashing the Eye of Mynd on Thorum, though I won't quote all that.

Whats the matter, Thorum? Getting nervous that your name keeps popping up? Or you feel threatened keeping me in the game? You see, the mistake you made is your reason for voting me has nothing to do with whether I am scum or not. You see this as an opportunity to get rid of a player who has burned you before.

People, its simple. If you don't agree with what I say, then ignore me. You cannot deny that things have stirred up and we are not giving this day to the mafia for Day 1 randomness. At best, we can lynch a mafia today, at worst, we've set up a pretty informative Day 2.

If you think I am scum, then by all means vote for me. If you just want me out of the way, then just ignore me. Just make sure its logic and not your emotions that are telling you who to vote.

Mynd is rarely this defensive in my opinion. He kinda deflects Thorum's vote on him as the worst kind of OMGUS, meta-OMGUS. Mynd, if we don't agree with what you say, then we are going to counter it. If we all just ignored everything we didn't agree with, we'd be blind. But you know that, that's what makes it so interesting. You LIKE it when people disagree with you, you purposefully shake the grass a bit to get reactions. If everyone ignored you when they disagreed with you, your strategy would be moot. Therefore, suggesting it, seems scummy coming from you.

I agree with Aemon, vote Thorum

I did something similar, but when Thorum didn't have a train and deadline within a day, it seemed odd. I shouldn't complain though.

I'd still much prefer a Mynd lynch, but with something like 6 and a half hours left, I dunno that that's going to happen.

Thorum being the other person who stuck out to me, and garnering enough reactions to gain information from his lynch no matter the alignment (because I think Aemon's been dogging him quite a bit so it'll be interesting to see what turns up)....

Unvote

Vote Thorum

Unless I accidentally missed a page or something, I don't really remember Aemon dogging him "quite a bit"... a little yes, but not tons. He was the first to scope him out though as I pointed out.

Mynd just likes the sound of his own thoughts and he's stubborn. Others can see he's jumping at shadows, taking things out of proportion, making mountains out of molehills, and what have you, and while, yes, some of his statements have merit, it really doesn't make his theories 100% infallible. Now, he can believe this to be the truth, and that's fine. I, however, don't agree with his certain style of thinking, and that it can either severely damage the town or give it an advantage. This does, of course, highly depend on his alignment, and he still goes either way for me right now. By past experience and from my perspective, he is probably likely to be scum, pushing townie lynches and using "everyone knows how I play" as an excuse. If Thorum were to flip town, too, he and Aemon or BG might be on a team. I think Thorum is scummy as well but I do not think he and Mynd are on a team based on the way they associate with each other.

So, if Thorum flips scum.......what does that tell you based on your assumption bolded above?

I guess you think a little WIFOM never hurt anyone, hmm?

Vote Mynd

Vote GF for appearing out of nowhere and voting Thorum, which seems like it kinda led to a full-on lynch. Not sure if that's what she meant to do, but in hindsight, scummy as all hell.

Scummy, but going after an inactive right out the gate is not the way to go. We need to go with the best lynch candidate and BG will be the one here. If we lynch GF, then we may get a scum but if she flips town, we have no information at all.

If you look back at BG's vote hopping, his reasons contradict each other and, while Amadine would be the better choice for him to attack, he chooses me to OMGUS because I am a threat. BG knew Thorum would flip town, but he waited until there was enough momentum so he could use the deadline as an excuse. He's scum and GF could be with him. It will be interesting to see who tries to distract from this lynch AND where GF casts her vote.
